andieellisonYES 10x overIn general, I consider myself a chronic researcher and thoroughly take my time to gain as much info as possible when I’m planning something. This podcast has been incredibly valuable for me - I listen every morning on my commute to work and then when I get home to start wedding plan for the evening, I have so much more knowledge to take into consideration, preventing me from making costly mistakes. No shade to other wedding related podcasts, but this one is simply just the best! I don’t feel like I’m being marketed to with things I have to buy in order to plan a wedding. ALTHOUGH, Desirée offers some really great tools for purchase, all crafted with her years of experience in the luxury wedding industry, which I WILL be purchasing! She has sooo many great free resources too! Thank you for creating this! 🫶🏼💌

Heathercita13Absolutely vital and brilliant wedding ideas!Desirée is BRILLIANT! I’m a veteran Officiant and Marriage Celebrant with more than 225 weddings in my portfolio. The one thing so many couples talk themselves out of for destination weddings up here in the mountains of Colorado is a Wedding Planner. And I understand why but I can’t tell you how often I fill in that role as a result. Desirée’s ideas are beyond helpful for any couple - with a planner or not. With so many ideas coming from social media these days, couples don’t realize the potential for unexpected issues. Her episode Your Ultimate Last- Minute Wedding To-Do List is overflowing with fabulous ideas and important details. I especially love her timeline ideas and her comment about making your Seating List ALPHABETICAL! 🤩 Again, this woman is brilliant and you should listen to every word she says to make your Big Day everything you dream of without the blind spots that inevitably occur because you aren’t getting married all the time! 😉💝

dancer3272024 Bride!Love love love this podcast! I started binge listening to this podcast during my “engaged to be engaged” era towards the end of last year. It made me feel well equipped and super excited to start planning my wedding. I especially loved Ep. 36 which talked about what to do before getting engaged, because it affirmed me that I wasn’t crazy for starting to plan my wedding before even having a ring haha. I even got my boyfriend/now fiancé to start listening to it with me. (He suggests listening to it every time we’re in the car together.) My fiancé popped the question almost 2 months ago, and I can say this podcast, along with the planning checklist, has helped relieve the stress of planning our fall 2024 wedding in such a short timeline. Thank you Desiree for all of your helpful tips and insight into the industry! You’re the best. 🤍 - Laurielle

E MucciMay 2024 BrideHey Des, thank you so much for your podcast! I started listening to it when I was engaged to be engaged over a year ago, and now I’m about to get married this weekend. I absolutely love the podcast; the content is fantastic and so helpful. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve said, “The wedding planning podcast I listen to says…” throughout this planning process. You’re awesome! Thank you! 💕

JillKosterThankful!Hello! I’m a September 2024 Detroit bride and our wedding planning journey is benefiting so much from your professional guidance! I felt lost on how to develop the timeline, where to start, what vendors to book first… all the things! Your episodes, old and new, offer great insight and direction as I plan our “flawless heirloom occasion!” ☺️ Thank you for sharing your professional experience with brides! ♥️

SdermzJune 2024 brideHi Dez! I live in the DC Area and I’ve been listening to your podcast since last summer and love starting my week off with your podcast. I drive a lot for work so I’m always listening to a podcast, and enjoy looking forward to my Monday morning car rides. I’d love to hear a podcast episode about wedding mindset, stress reduction, and how to stay positive on your wedding day/ leading up to it. A lot of advice is about planning well but I’d love to hear mindset tips!

lev419My Type A Wedding Planning Lifeline!Hi Des! I just started wedding planning (we got engaged last month and we plan to get married May 2025) but I’ve been dreaming of planning our wedding for a long time. I’m type A, have been in a handful of weddings, used to plan fundraising events in college, and I’m just finding it so fun to get into the nitty gritty. But there’s so much about weddings I don’t know. I tried a couple other wedding pods before yours and got irritated that they seemed to be ads for specific expensive vendors, and basically they were sharing the same info I can find online. I LOVE listening to your podcast for a succinct summary of what you didn’t know you need to know. I feel confident that by next May I’ll have all the details considered, I’ll be ready to delegate tasks, and I’ll be able to have a lovely day ❤️. Thank you!

Carolyn W (@clwang)Great!This podcast has been so helpful (enough so that I jumped over from Spotify where I listen to this platform just to leave a review)! Great to skip around - I’ve listened to a bunch of different episodes (whatever catches my attention) and it never fails to make me feel equipped to tackle the tasks in front of me. Highly recommend!

ajrocksyourworldDirect & Practical InfoI’ve been listening to this podcast since I got engaged this past February, since I knew NOTHING about the wedding industry, and this podcast has helped me navigate so much! I even found my wedding photographer through here (@destinationswithdana), with whom we had an amazing engagement session with already! I continue to pick episodes based on where I’m at in my planning timeline and I’m just so grateful for all of the helpful information presented here. So thank you!! My IG: @thealyssaiverson

KkkkmmmmddddNewly engaged! So thankful for the info given with this podcast. I got engaged two weeks ago and I have been listening on my drive to work every morning to make wedding planning even more exciting! I’d love to hear a Podcast on South Asian (my fiancé is Indian) and American fusion weddings. @kellithedentist

Emma D. 😛A must for anyone planning a weddingLike many people, I was totally lost when I started planning my wedding. This podcast gave me much needed direction, insight, and structure. I learned what to prioritize and what could wait, which saved me a lot of stress in the early days. Thank you for such a great resource for brides, grooms, or anyone planning a wedding.
-
AmandaChicagoGreat advice for a new BrideIt can feel overwhelming to start the daunting process of planning a wedding. Thank you for your relevant topics and guest speakers! ❤️ This pod actually helped me make the final decision to use a wedding planner (getting married in Hawaii June 2024) and I am so thankful already! Thank you!

jackielee25Learning so much!As a mother-of-the bride who has been lucky enough to be invited into the planning process, this podcast has been so helpful to me, and I learn so much from Desiree with each episode. Thank you so much for the straight-forward, honest advice that all your listeners can put to good use. So entertaining too!
-
ECVT124Fun and informative! This podcast is one I keep coming back to! As a bride who really had no idea where to start, this podcast not only helped I feel much more confident in my planning but made it fun. Thank you so much for you advice, tips, and organizing tools!!

AliRae16So fun!Love this podcast and all the BTS Desiree shares! So helpful!

mandiexrThe Wedding podcast for the wedding clueless!I’m so thankful for this podcast! Been listening to every episode since we got engaged last fall. As someone who has been to only a couple of weddings I had no clue what I was doing. With Desiree’s advice I have been able to enjoy our engagement thus far and have been able to prioritize a planning timeline. Absolutely stoked for season 4! I will be impatiently patiently waiting 😉 Thanks Desiree!

jenniferh1010Reassured brideI’m in the middle of planning my own wedding, and have been overwhelmed with the huge industry and all the different resources out there. This podcast address topics clearly and makes me feel prepared and knowledgeable as I go through the planning process. Multiple vendors have mentioned how smooth it has been and I have this podcast to thank!
-
KMR600Love the podcast and the personal connection with her listenersI love listening to this podcast. I have a wedding planner but I love to hear the different perspectives that Desiree provides on her podcast. She covers such a variety of topics that I always learn something and have something new to consider. I also appreciate how dedicated she is to her listeners and is always open to questions and giving advice. In response to the wedding stationary episode, I’m doing just online, one to save money and paper but mostly because as a guest I 100% prefer online. It’s so much more convenient, especially when you don’t have outgoing mail right at your doorstep. Since you’re already on the website to do so, it also encourages me to go ahead and finally book that hotel room and purchase a gift from the registry. It’s a one stop shop! But planning my stationary has been one of my favorite parts of the process so far!
-
Greenbear88Love this podcast!I am in the research stage of wedding planning and I’ve been listening to this podcast nonstop. Desiree is so generous with her suggestions, stories, and experiences - I feel more confident tackling my wedding! Some names I came up with for the show listeners: the Verve Hive (a la Bey Hive), Wedding Ninjas, or the Verve Army (a la BTS).
-
atrovatsLove this Podcast!I rarely if ever leave reviews for things, but I had to for this! As someone whose planning a wedding with expensive taste (but a very tight budget), unfiltered advice from a luxury wedding planner is really invaluable. I love the diversity of topics that Desirée covers and the different types of guests she brings on. The expert advice and insider tips from wedding professionals is something you can’t find anywhere else. I’ve binged almost all of the episodes already and have so many ideas on how to create our perfect day while staying on budget. Definitely recommend to anyone planning their flawless heirloom occasion. 😉 10/10! 🥂💍🕊🤍 Also I think someone may have suggested this already but I like the name Loverves (like love-verve). @atrovats4

Erica MartellLoved it!Ladies-- the episode was SOOO GOOD! Desiree you are a wonderful podcast host! This was such a pleasure to listen to and I know that even those who are not getting married or who are not HMU artists or planners would benefit from the wealth of knowledge shared here. I really feel like there is a space for this in the world. The concept of (what we have sort of deemed) "Experiential Beauty" is something that I think will have a positive, eye opening impact on anyone who strives to provide or receive better services in ANY part of a service based industry. Tip of the iceberg!! Erica, you CRUSHED IT!! ❤️ Renee

SeltsiPlannning my own heirloom occasion ;)I started listening to the show in May 2022 before getting engaged. In early July my now fiancé and I went to Montreal for a weekend trip and he proposed at the top of the ferris wheel in Old Port. We have been planning for our wedding since and are tying the knot this June! I have a Month of Coordinator, but otherwise am doing all the planning and design for an out of state wedding. I get so excited when new episodes are released! I have listened to every episode and gleaned so much knowledge through the content. I really appreciate the diversity of topics addressed. Maybe a fun name for all the listeners would be the Rochettes?
-
1993MMGName submissionI know you want to call your listeners something that’s a play on “plan,” but what about a play on “verve” like loverves or believerves?
-
completely happy customer!Hard to listen toAlthough this podcast had some excellent ideas, it was challenging to listen to because of all the pauses and restarts, and repeats; please do proper editing before submitting it to be listened to. M

E. MooreFive Stars and then some!Desirée- thank you for sharing your time, and endless talent! I look forward to each new episode, chuckling along with stories that are all too relatable and always learning something new. Cheers!!
-
finally engaged!Thank you!!!I am so glad I found your podcast. I am recently engaged after 8 years of dating! We set a date for next fall. Both of our families live across the country so we have less support. I have listen to sooo many of your episodes and feel less anxious and more informed in this process. I have had vendors tell me “wow you are asking all the right questions” and that is all thanks to your podcast!! Thank you so much for sharing your Knowledge and experiences. I love hearing your advise!
-
hickamMDLove this podcast!I love listening to this podcast! All the advice is so solid and helpful!!!
-
abigailwinston4Five Stars from a Fellow Event PlannerLove love LOVE this podcast. Desiree gives the best advice, and I learn something new every single episode! I would love to see an episode with advice specifically for event planners who are planning their own wedding! I am an event planner who is not planning a wedding (yet), but I just know that when it is time, I will find it difficult to separate from my “event planner” mode and actually enjoy the process and the day. Is this something that you have dealt with? I would love to hear your insights! @abigailwinston4 on Instagram

Love the blur backgroundListened to a lot of wedding planning podcastsI’ve listened to a ton of wedding planning podcasts and this is one of my favorites. I’ve learned something from every episode!
-
dany9899Thanks for sharing so many tips!I’m starting my wedding planning business, I’ve planned events in the past but never as business and it definitely helped me with some tips and specially the opportunity to learn from the experts! Thank you! @thelumbercouple

Meg99999999Very helpful and detail oriented!!Desirée is very organized and helpful as she approaches each wedding topic, I love listening to her podcast during my commute as I’m starting to dive deep into my wedding planning. I opted out of getting a full planner for my wedding and opted for a month-of coordinator - so it’s been so nice to listen to her advice and buy her comprehensive planning checklist (highly recommend). I found her checklist to be uniquely helpful for post-Covid wedding planning, since now it feels like classic timelines will leave you behind schedule nowadays. I also really respect her taste after listening to multiple episodes. I feel that when you hear her opinion on an aspect of wedding planning, it comes from a place of lots of experience and high class. She seems very thoughtful in her advice. Thank you Desirée! Looking forward to season 3!
-
dcCruise ladyGreat podcastI find your podcast very informative. I love the information and I feel like you explain well.
-
aidhakarGreat advice, better editingDesiree has great advice and obviously has a ton of knowledge on how to best plan your wedding and make those decisions. Compared to some of the other wedding podcasts I’ve heard it’s not only honest advice but some really tactical ideas to incorporate into your wedding, planner or not. For example the signature drink recipes or for planning vision, I had immediate relief knowing I can figure this out after hearing the episodes. Some things that would raise my rating to 5. 1) slow down some of the recommendations - the lists are great but go fast that if I wanted to jot a quick note it’s speedy 2) this I think would help #1 - keep the announcements at the end or intersperse them. I listen to lots of podcasts that have actual paid commercials etc and sprinkled makes it less painful. A lead up of these where it takes up the first 10min of the episode is annoying and makes me more likely to skip it all even though I think there’s valuable nuggets in there. It also feels really commercial.

Andi7002Relatable & Trustworthy AdviceDesirée’s podcast has the rare ability to put my Type A worries at ease. Thank you for the practical tips and sharing your experiences!

madcpalmerSo helpful in easing my mothers mind! This podcast is my favorite to listen to while planning my September wedding. Episode 64 was perfect to help my mother understand why it was so important for us to hire a planner. It really put her mind at ease so she can also enjoy the day with us instead of taking charge herself. Thank you so much for this episode! Cheers 🥂

ArmK1234This podcast eases my wedding planning anxietyI have loved listening to this podcast. As someone who has been having anxiety about all things wedding planning, I found listening to this podcast eases that stress by breaking down the planning process into smaller pieces. I also love that Des is real and tells it like it is. I recommend anyone planning a wedding subscribe to this podcast. @armkirsten

oola11Insightful, In-Depth, and Well RoundedThis is one of the few podcasts my fiancé and I can agree on. Desiree gives thoughtful and insightful advice on all aspects of wedding planning. She alternates between interviews with vendors and goes in-depth on specific topics by herself. We like both types of episodes because they give the podcast a well-rounded approach. Desiree also brings up aspects of the planning we never thought to consider. My favorite episode was on how to prepare for the wedding tasting. She brought up so much that we need to consider and now we feel much more prepared with questions we need to ask our caterer and venue. Thank you so much, Desiree! Keep up the amazing work!!

Creducator24Before you say, “I do, “you need to say, “I did” listen to Ask the Planner With Desiree AdamsWeddings can and should be a dream come true for the bride and the groom. They can also be tricky, emotionally draining, way too expensive and downright scary from a logistics point of view. Whether everything comes off without a hitch (which is practically never) or not, your wedding will be one the most memorable days of your life and when it comes to planning galas of the heart, Desiree Adams is a pro. She takes you through a very complicated process with lots of moving parts in a very accessible, easily understandable, and insightful way. She teaches you (without preaching to you – she leaves that to your priest, rabbi, minister, pastor or officiant) how to navigate the tricky waters of locking in the right venue, getting the right dress that doesn’t take you to the cleaners, finding wonderful yet reasonably priced caterers, hiring first class photographers, phenomenal florists, magnificent masters of the melody and everything else you need to make your wedding day the beginning of a fairy tale. She is with it, witty, wise, and wonderful. So before you say, “I do,” you need to say, “I did” listen to a wedding planner who is at the top of her game! Thank you Desiree for inviting me on your show to speak about how not to get “got” on the way to the alter. Adam Levin, Co-Host, “What the Hack with Adam Levin”

ZoëMPondEco-Friendly WeddingI’m so glad you had this episode! Being environmentally friendly is important to my fiancé and I in general, so having a wedding to reflect that was a non-decision. Between potted herbs for our centerpieces, glassware for the guests (that doubles as favors) instead of plastic, and super local farm to table vendors are just a few of the things we’re doing. Thank you to Lowell for giving me more ideas to be more sustainable on our big day. -Zoë (@zoempond)
-
alllllllzSo helpful!I have loved listening to this podcast during my engagement - I always feel more calm and inspired after! My wedding is in just over a month but I will probably still listen after 😅 I LOVED this weeks episode on eco-friendly wedding ideas, I felt really validated on a lot of my choices, like online RSVPs and simple one-card invitations. Trying hard to reduce my waste for this one-day event! Happy birthday Desiree! 🥂🎂 -Allie (@allieweissldr)
-
MBRomoInformative and Refreshing! As a fellow wedding vendor, I love this podcast! Desiree is what it means to be a professional in this industry; she gives candid advice, her interviews are thoughtful, and the topics are well-researched. Her guests are knowledgeable and interesting, each with unique experiences that always leave me with a great take-away. Definitely give her podcast a listen!

Pamela SheldonPhenomenal Podcast for All Couples and VendorsDesiree is a wealth of knowledge! She is up-to-date on all things wedding and wedding related!! She helped us plan our backyard wedding in Summer 2021 and not only can we not imagine planning without her help, but on our wedding day she was an integral part of making our day perfect! She is the best of the best and in a world where time is something we all wish we had more of, time spent listening to Desiree’s podcast is time well spent! I learn something every time I listen and she is one of the best in the industry!
-
hraecartierLove This Podcast!!This show has been so helpful and informative. Even if you can’t afford luxury events, it is wonderful for planning and understanding the professional side of the wedding industry so that you’re event can be the best! You can tell Desiree has such a heart for her followers and her job. My favorite tip is making any gift meaningful. After just coming out of Christmas, it really hits home about not spending frivolously on superficial things and digging deeper to make those connections, even with a heartfelt note. @heatherrae75
