    Such a bummer..but I love ya!
Between Tim and JVL I want to reach for the razor blades.

    Probably my favorite podcast
Tim Miller’s The Bulwark podcast is one of the sharpest, most entertaining political podcasts out there. His mix of insider knowledge, self-deprecating humor, and no-nonsense analysis makes it stand out in a crowded space. Unlike a lot of political content that can feel dry or overly partisan, Miller strikes a balance—calling out hypocrisy on both sides while keeping things engaging.

Love the show! ( the music is amazing)
Can we work doses and mimosas into the music rotation? Definitely fits the times! All Bulwark shows need Cam cameos! JVL daily show please !!

When Tim is tough, it’s great
Mostly great, especially when Tim asks tough questions. But a recent interview with Gallego was just nonsense: he let Gallego get away with egotistical b.s. Tim never mentioned Gallego’s terrible voting record, just let him blah blah blah.

Best political podcast and channel out there
Love this show. Took a break from political podcasts after the election but came back after inauguration so I could understand what is happening to our country. Such important information for anyone looking to understand the political climate and actions coming from the current administration. More Ben Wittes please, please, please! He is such an amazing guest.

Where have you been all my life?
I love The Bulwark channel, and Tim Miller is why. He is smart, critical and insightful in his commentary of news and events while also tempering what he says with a measure of humor. I can trust Tim and the Bulwark team.

    Refreshing Sanity
A great podcast with terrific guests shining a light on the insanity all around us now. I never miss an episode and it honestly helps me to feel better about the raging issue of the day. Wish I was kidding. I’ve always respected Tim’s knowledge and preparedness and now I get to enjoy so much more of his perspective with this pod. A refreshing sane take on the goings-on around us. Bravo and thank you!

    Principled conservatives
I’m to the left of Tim Miller on a host of political and social issues, but I have tremendous respect for Miller and all the people who work at the Bulwark. I truly believe a coalition of left-leaning and center-right people will save this country, and The Bulwark podcast is one of the standout podcasts working for this goal. I highly recommend it to Democrats and former Republicans alike. Thank you all for your persistence and courage.

    Jared Polis
Before your interview with Polis I had him on my short list to be a Dem nominee. However, Trump country is no country for delusional“eternal optimists”. As a recovering optimist and converted pessimist, I have no faith in Polis. Optimism is a psychological defense mechanism to avoid the real World. As the Greeks knew, Optimists are very dangerous people. “Pessimism” wrote Nietzsche . . . “is older and more original than optimism” I thought his answers to your questions were weak, and he showed little regard for the building catastrophe at hand, or the leader we need to combat the current crisis and lawlessness. When listening to Polis, one would have thought Mitt Romney was just elected POTUS and all will be well in the end. The fact that Trump and Musk have 1 or 2 good ideas doesn’t make their other actions acceptable. Any Dem pol you meet whose hair is not on fire should be treated as suspect and tossed out of the foxhole. Optimists tend to fall asleep at their post.

    Almost great
I really enjoy the intelligent conversations. I wish that the host would not interrupt a guest mid-sentence, or mid-presentation of a facet of the theme of the conversation.

Substantive and Issue Focused Pod without Elitist Attitude
I don’t always agree with this podcast, but I respect it and find it much easier to listen to than some other more moderate podcasts. The hosts are not trying to be edgy and do not talk down to the listener. They also don’t host with a general air of disdain towards large groups of Americans which I like. This podcast is substantive, issue focused, and thoughtfully hosted.

    Stopped listening
I stopped listening as of today. Tim is understandable grumpy, but he takes it out on his guests and has been downright rude to them lately. People tend to reveal themselves in times of stress. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed Charlie Sykes when he hosted.
  • ARhaesa
Gives me hope for conservatives in my life
Tim gives me hope that there are conservatives that aren’t deep in the cult of MAGA. It’s so nice to hear from people actually sticking to their principles.
  • Yes, dreadful
    On board with Tim Miller
Five years ago if you asked if I sought out Tim Miller content, I would say no way. -But now he’s a life raft in this hellish American reality. And on a side note: Ms. Longwell, please allow others to finish their thought before steamrolling over the discussion. I’m trying to get to know the Bulwark team, and everyone’s view on different issues.- it’s difficult to do when speakers are interrupted, and never given the opportunity to finish. I want to thank y’all for the pod frequency. -independent media is the future of journalism.

    Can’t live without this podcast
We listen to it daily, can’t imagine missing an episode - Tim Miller is a gem. And the whole gang, Sarah, JVL, Sam, super insightful. So thankful to have this podcast, especially right now.

This is my go to podcast for trying to make sense of what’s happening. Tim and company are well informed, relatable, and entertaining. I came for the info and stay for the music at the end - chef’s kiss.

    Look over there
We all need to call him out on his mental health. He’s got everyone spinning around in circles. When it all boils down to his sick mind. Let’s keep it simple. Trump is crazy!

The republicans should be the point
Slagging off the democrats for not messaging every second completely misses the point - the republicans are the problem - concentrate on them. YOU are the messenger - do your job. Leave others who are fighting to have their strategy. You can be certain you are not alone! Americans spend too much time wingeing.

    2/17 Kristol pod
Just listened to your 2/17 Kristol pod. I find it interesting that Elon met with Modi BEFORE Trump did. Not only was that a total power play but Musk had the opportunity to sell HIS personal agenda to Modi before the PM met with POTUS. Would love to know how he warmed Trump up in advance. Another example of Musk AI playing n dimensional chess while Trump plays with himself. We’re doomed if this is allowed to go on much longer.

    Therapy!
The Bulwark provides wonderful insight and great guests to help understand our current political environment. Historically, I was a Republican BT (Before Trump) but always respected people I disagreed with. The current environment is so caustic but Tim’s daily show helps keep me informed and brings thoughtful guests. Well done!
  • eddmah
Less MSNBC. We came here to escape cable news.
I really appreciate The Bulwark for its honest non-partisan takes, and Tim is a great host. However, I’m noticing a lot of MSNBC talking heads and affiliates cycling through here these days. This was one of the first big red flags that made me back away from Pod Save America. Political podcasters should remember that their audiences grew partly in response to the growing distrust and frustration with cable news. Keep them at a distance!

    Tom Malinowski
Great interview Tim. You are right on the money about letting it burning all down, but when are you ever going to learn that Democrats will always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
  • GFYPOS
    Tom Malinowski. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
What is this guy talking about???!!! No! Dems should not vote “yeah” on ANY REPUBLICAN BILLS, no matter what fake concessions the Republicans are pretending to make. 2025 is going to be a DISASTER, Dems must continue to narrate what’s happening, but should never participate in it. Republicans are in charge of 100% of the 3 branches of government, they should take 100% of the blame for the mess they are making.

    Tim Miller
Love this podcast, love Tim Miller. As an Independent I need to hear from rational Republicans to be sure I’m not just caught up in easy Dem hysteria. You guys are helping me stay sane in insane times. Thank you!

    Bulwark is Bestwark!
As an adult for a while now, I am still a reasonable person (e.g. anti-Trump), but don't enjoy the (hopefully fading) focus on identity politics that had been a problem for me in most left-leaning political media. So, I greatly appreciate the Best Friends and all the other great contributors here on The Bulwark as most closely in line with what I consider reasonable. Plus, Tim and JVL are legit hilarious sometimes, and Sarah inspires me to work harder.
  • SPALLENPDX
    Thank You
The ‘gum up’ podcast with M Steele was outstanding. I was laughing so hard…..my wife and I are former consumers of Morning Joe. Found you on the Bulwark. You and Michael reminded me of a SNL weekend update only deeper, uncensored, hilarious and so on point. Thank You.

Love it. Good information. Balanced approach. Constructive criticism of Dems is helpful to hear. I do wonder if the Dem criticism gets a bit too much as we need Dems to counter this current agenda/leadership. Dems over decades supported gay rights which many now enjoy while R leadership actively stood on the way of gay rights. Let’s support them and be constructive but maybe also acknowledge that the D’s warned all about this current nightmare and here we are because influencers on the R may be more strategic …

Great insight. Look forward to every day. Love Tim Miller, voice of reason. Favorite podcast. As a once proud republican who no longer recognizes what the party has become, I identify with y’all a lot. Appreciate the insight so much, and really appreciate the coverage around election time and after. Makes me not feel as despondent and frankly terrified.

    Tim Miller is the best
On a recent episode with Tommy Vietor, Tim mentioned the “generic, MSNBC-watching wine mom”… and I’ve never felt so seen/called out 😆 Thank you Tim for helping us all deal with this insanity.

    Thank you Tim!
    The country needs this podcast.
  • Concerned in Philadelphia
    Thank you.
Please challenge my thinking! We have a great deal of common ground. Yet I had to say “ouch” when Mona Charen asserted that private enterprise is always more efficient than government. Medicare operates on less than 3% margin while Medicare Advantage plans administered by health insurance companies have approximately 17% overhead and nonetheless deny care Medicare covers. Medicare funds healthcare while insurance companies exist to profit execs and investors. I understand that creativity arises in the private sector. This is vetting and bookkeeping and clearly is done well by government.

I love this podcast and all the fantastic guests Tim has on. They need to beat all of the MAGA-focused podcasts. Come on, everyone. Tell all your friends and family to listen.
