    Great job.
I just happened to find Olive Hill while looking for a good podcast to listen to. I’m from WV not to far away from olive hill. Loved the story and it was awesome to hear such a good story that includes so many places that I spent time in growing up. Made for a day well spent on my day off work.

    Very Well Done
Fantastic voice actors and great story- it seemed unique and the slow build kept things interesting. I don’t normally get emotional listening to podcasts but I did with this one. Just overall very, very well done.

Wonderful show that led me to another wonderful show
Listened to, and greatly enjoyed Olive Hill, hungry for more, went to their podcast Thirteen, which is now definitely a favorite of mine. Olive Hill is an atmospheric and delightful mystery. I’ve actually listened to the story twice. I hope they’ll do more standalone stories like this that are a season long in addition to the wonderful stuff they’re putting out with Thirteen.

    Quick Supernatural Mystery
Investigation podcast style that carries itself well. Super mellow and easy to listen to. I had to give it a couple of listens to get the little clues dropped here and there. I really like the narrator and the story concept.

    Loved it.
I just listened to the Olive Hill series and really enjoyed them all. It was my first experience with a pod cast and I am hooked. Good job by all involved. Looking forward to Thirteen.

Not What I Expected, In a Good Way
Im gonna be honest. I tracked this down because one of my other favorite podcasts, “THIRTEEN”, mentions it. Thirteen is much heavier on the supernatural side, so that’s what I expected. A “ghost story”, to even use a term repeated here. And I guess, technically, it was. But what I felt like I got was a mystery. And a detective tracking down clues for an old case. I love mysteries, so heavily enjoyed this. As well, I felt the writing was very good, and the voice acting and cast was a lot bigger and better than I expected. So this may be ages late (sorr-ee!), but this was an excellent podcast and story. Kudos!

    Amazing
I have re-listened to Olive Hill at least 4 times. SO good and obsessed with the imaginary comma team and their extreme talents! Amazing y’all!

    Mysterious slow build
An unsolved mystery with enough secrets to keep me hooked until the very hopeful and revealing end. Thoroughly enjoyed!

    Community Theater Acting
The script is pretty good, the story is very good, but the acting is bad, pauses too long between comments, very mediocre.

    Hooked
I’ve only listened to the first episode but that’s all it took to get me hooked. Can’t wait to see what happens to the missing girls in Olive Hill!

    Flawless
Thrilling, suspenseful, balances the line between skepticism and supernatural matter so very well. Excellent acting, masterfully recorded, and the ending is solid. Well done!

    Wonderful
Amazing story, nostalgic and emotional ending without being at all sappy. Just really great.

Engaging story told well. More please!

    beautiful & touching
I went into this expecting a horror podcast. Instead, I got a touching story about love, and loss, and devotion. It’s slow—very slow. And nothing is really cleared up for sure (at least, not for the narrator). But it was beautiful, and I’ll be thinking about it for a long time. Also, the audio quality is lovely, and the narrator’s voice is soothing.

    Incredible!
I love this storyline it is so different and unique. Very good listen!

better than what I was expecting
I’ve been looking for new horror (or just vaguely scary) podcasts the listen to and stumbled on this one— while the story isn’t necessarily the scare I was looking for it’s so beautifully written and haunting. I almost cried at the start of the sixth episode, it just captures grief and nostalgia in a very lovely way.

    I tried to like it
I’ve tried twice. I want to like it. However, I listened to 6 episodes and just got bored with it. I think it could be great, but there is too much filler in the storyline. At times it seems as though the narrator is just droning on and on about nonsense and it ruins it for me.

Stunning description and depth unlike podcasts I have followed
Olive Hill episode 6 is my current discovery into this story. I love mystery that plays on the tension of supernatural ambiguity . It both intrigues and disarms for what’s to come. I love being able to close my eyes and see the world being described. Vividly. Olive Hill delivers this hunger for saturated imagery with a stupendous serving of rich character development! As I said, I am just now listening to episode 6, I had to pause it and write this review. I’m blown away by the characters ability to speak; her introspective truths, pondering life’s biggest lessons. Questioning herself and pondering what could have been. The exact phrase that did it for me was: (Paraphrasing) “Isnt it strange we can miss things that haven’t even happened yet?” That was the final straw for me to highly recommend this story! P.S. To the creators, Thank you! You have succeeded in more ways than you may know. 😊🤯 my only question is what production plans you have with the seasons? Or would you suggest something else I may like. I don’t usually donate to podcasts (because I’m a peasant). However, I will be more than motivated to do so for more. -Joshua

    Olive Hill
What a truly spellbinding and addictive story! I was captivated from the start and listened nonstop to the end! It was so bittersweet, wanting to hear the ending but not want it to be over!! 🤷🏻‍♀️💙
  • lynorlane
    Excellent
Came late to this one but that just meant I got to listen to the entire addictive story in a few days. A good fantasy story but also a good story about relationships.

So well done. The writing, the voicing, the music...it’s a great compliment to the Thirteen podcast. Thanks guys.

    Great show!
I agree with others that this is a slow burn, which is interesting in the faux-doc genre. Reminds me a bit of the strengths of Limetown!

    Must listen
Fantastic series for horror and fantasy fans. Superior writing, slow burn storyline. Loved the voice acting too.

    Great story
I’m only sad there wasn’t more, but a great , unique twist on the ghost (or demon) genre! Storytelling is fantastic, characters sound less scripted than some others. And despite wanting more, the ending was quite beautiful. Very cool idea. Would definitely recommend .

    Amazing. Heartbreaking.
The writers really broke the mold with this one.

    Great Story!
I loved this story, i’m not often into ghost stories, but this one has an interesting spin!
  • gman1106
    Good story. Super narcissistic narrator.
An interesting mystery story that unfolds well. I just wish the narrator didn’t spend a third of each episode droning on and on about how great she is and how she is above this quaint little town. Classic narcissistic tendencies—making a story that did not involve her at all still mostly about her.

    Amazing!!!
Absolutely gut wrenching story and so well told I actually had to go back to the description to make sure it wasnt real because it was just that good!!!

    A Perfect Combination
When production values, story, and narration are all 5 Stars, you get a story worth listening to. Thank you to all involved for creating a podcast that is perfection.

    Hold on...it’s fiction?

    Enjoyable production
I went into this podcast knowing exactly nothing. While I think that comparing things can simplify a piece of media, this felt like a cross between Tanis and more whimsical episode of Lore. I listened in one sitting which is about all the thought I will devote to the story aside from my very specific fear of something watching me through my window at night. At some points I wanted the pace to pick up a little bit more but it was still very good.

    So spooky.
I listened to the whole thing in one day.

    Love it
The spooky atmosphere, the mystery, the pieces of a puzzle all coming together, it’s like this podcast was pulled from a dream. It’s a great listen, there are only 7 episodes so I binged them, of course. I got hooked, of course. I highly recommend this. It’s dark, it’s sweet, it’s mysterious, it’s romantic. I’m in love. This is defiantly one I’ll be listening to again.

    More
I don’t leave reviews normally unless something catches my attention like this, and come the end of it- my attention was caught. I need more, my god. Please tell me there’s going to be a second season because literally the what in the actual hell? Ignore the stupid trolls in regard to acting, it was wonderful and it sold to the whole picture incredibly.

    Eerie, Engrossing
This podcast had it all. Mystery, horror elements, small town gothic with a creepy cult-like church. According to a recent announcement, the same group is getting ready to announce what’s next. I can’t wait.

One of the best out there!
TOTALLY BINGE-WORTHY!! I started Olive Hill at the beginning of a house-project and ended it as I wrapped that up the same day - so so good. Writing is smart and enjoyable, the acting isn’t overdone - just a great blend of things happening - can’t wait to see what’s coming up next from these folks!
