O.W. PLEASE COME BACK!!!

I doubt you read the reviews since it’s been 2 years since something has been dropped but it would be nice to get more!

I just recently discovered this show and I’m already a big fan. It’s so fanciful and darkly funny and wonderfully weird. It’s rare that I actually laugh out loud watching or listening to a show and Death by Dying makes me laugh out loud more than once per episode. If you like gallows humor definitely give this show a listen!

This is probably one of my favorite podcast ever. I’ve gotten so invested in the unique characters and the voice acting is incredible. The story is so fun and they explain everything perfectly. I binged this in a weekend and wasn’t even a tiny bit disappointed. It’s the perfect mixture of comedy and spookiness. I also feel like there’s a good message behind some episodes. So excited for more episodes!

I love this show! It’s mysteriously strange and sooo hilariously witty. The voices crack me up! I can’t wait for another season!

I love/hate how stupid this show is 👹 Seriously, I ask myself at least twice during each episode how and why I’m listening to something so utterly ridiculous and stupid, but you just can’t get away from this show! You’ll hate how hilarious you find it and will judge yourself at times for enjoying it. It’s absolutely brilliant! Please come out with more episodes ❤️

Death by Dying is a truly unique show that’s delightful, and also spooky, it's clever, and also a bit icky (some body horror, but imo not in grotesque excess). For a show with an intentionally breezy attitude towards its many gruesome murders, it's surprisingly heartfelt, and moving at times. The dialogue is quick and smart, a witty combo of dark topics and random silliness - 10/10 recommend. A really enjoyable listen, and then there's that one episode that unexpectedly made me cry like a baby (in a good way)! If you like dark humor, this is perfectly up your alley, but beware there may be some man-eating cats in the aforementioned alley.

Do you find death humorous? Then this is for you. It's well written, engaging, and funny. I've been willing to wait years for the second season in a world where no one waits for anything, so that should say something.

Death By Dying is an amazing, well-written podcast that can go from funny and morbid to story-driven and morbid at the tip of a hat. the narrator is engaging and witty, the cast is impeccably voiced, and the plotline will keep you hooked.

This show is fun, clever, well written, well performed, and SO well edited. It takes you into a world that is so fun and heartbreaking. You laugh, you cry, and you fall in love over and over again with these amazing characters. Easily one of the best narrative fiction podcasts to ever exist.

Initially deterred by the over-the-top ads at the head of the episode, I kept listening, and I’m hooked. This show is so funny. I keep having to cover my mouth from laughing out loud at work. Looove Pastor Jeff’s stories.

I went through this show in two days because it was so amazing! I got a good laugh of how it was narrated and everything is well described. 10/10 recommend a listen.

One of thousands of “perfect example” showcasing why Audio is better than Video - but NONE better. I never believed there’d actually be a Series II follow-up, but my God here it is: all I can add is, poor Gary 😞... I hate that you had to go, but Man O Man I sure did love seeing you show up.

there’s something about his show that’s comforting to the umpteenth degree. the obituary writer is a fantastic narrator and the subject matter, though heavy, is handled excellently. it’s a charmingly bizarre twist on something that many of us fear! i’ve listened to death by dying more times than i can count — it’ll make you laugh, it’ll surprise you, and it’ll hold a special place in your heart.

Even though it was pretty short, I loved every second I listened to this. I laughed out loud on so many occasions but then it would flip around and be emotional and sweet, I cried at the last episode of season one, it was heartbreaking and so well written. Such an interesting premise with excellent execution! Fans of Welcome to Night Vale will love this show

The writing and acting of this show puts it heads and shoulders above most other comedy shows out there. Lots of really funny moments!

This is my favorite podcast. Not just comedy, favorite podcast period. I love it. I’ve listened to it more than twice. I’d do unspeakable things to get season 2 here faster. Thank you creators for making this brilliant, beautiful, bastard of a masterpiece!

This story is both funny and heartfelt and weird. All the charters are great and the world is somewhere I wish I was. PLUS it’s embarrassing to admit but I messaged “OW” from the website once while I was going through a tough time. I used the message to process some stuff under the guise of asking a question and forgot about it. Imagine my surprise when I got a message back about a month later. It was literally the sweetest thing and I did cry. Either way I love this podcast and I love the people that run it

This podcast had me cracking up whole time listening to it at work. It’s so funny and random, I recommend it all the time for people looking for funny/odd/weird shows. It’s chaotic good

Equal parts surreal comedy and meditation on the nature of grief. Gets better with each new listen.

The wit and dry presentation of the outlandish is fantastic. This has quickly become a favorite. The stories are presented as dark but with an odd twist and unexpected jokes. I wasn't sure it would be a podcast I would like from just reading the description, but I'm glad I listened.

It’s like a mashup of Welcome to Night Vale and Wooden Overcoats, but still unique! The acting, writing, and sound design are superb and immersive. Macabre, hilarious, and so charming.

If I was nothing but Irish, I would have titled this, “I’m Mick Lovin’ It!” Upon further review, I could have played off the name ‘Mickey’, but I believe that would have necessitated both a steamboat and the ability to whistle. 4 episodes in and I think this is a great podcast/story; well-written, voice acted, and produced.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this podcast. The premise, though, was so interesting and unique I had to give it a shot. The humour is hilarious. Dry wit delivered totally straight. The OW as a character is mysterious but still very enigmatic and you start getting a feel for what kind of person he is which is some plus 1 character writing. The other characters are all delights and bring life (hah) to the show. The acting is brilliant, the jokes are genuinely funny (in the vein of a Terry Pratchett footnote), the over arching story is compelling and the SOUNDSCAPING. The sound design here is brilliant giving each scene some unique flavour. The editing brilliant (one of my favourite examples being in episode 1 with the 2nd cannon ball and narration). I’d suggest this to anyone who’s a fan of Wooden Overcoats, Night Vale, and/or The Amelia Project. I genuinely can’t wait for more of this show!!

This is just the laugh I needed. The characters are well developed, the stories are quirky and bizarre, the writing excellent. So glad to find a great podcast to binge.
