I’ve been listening to the podcast and utilizing the Career Contessa resources since I started my military retirement journey . Every episode and resource can be tailored for the veteran job search. I love the TLDR format of the podcasts and resources. Direct, to the point, and packs huge value. This is my go to resource and I always direct Veterans here as well.

I love this podcast. I’m making a career change after the Strikes in Hollywood derailed my 24 years in TV. This podcast (and the courses!!!) give me everything I need to know to jump back in. I’m empowered and less fearful, I have strategies and tools now, I’m not floundering around the web looking for advice. I go straight to Career Contessa now. Thank you for so much great info. PS…. My 14 year old son had a job interview, and I gave him the CC resume from your 24hour resume course I bought from you site. Even though he has no work experience, we were able to plug all his school activities in, used the skills section to highlight his strengths and all the tips I learned in the course helped him craft a really solid resume! During the interview the owner of the business said his was the best resume she had, even though other resumes had work experience, and that she was really impressed by his resume! Which got him the interview! That resume course is the real deal…plus the templates are so easy to plug in. I used one of freebies you sent out to ask him interview questions to prep him, and had him write down what he wanted to get across as per your advice, and he NAILED the interview! At 14 years old! That was yesterday so I had to write a review! I’ll update when he gets the job :) So glad I found this resource.

I love the tips given in this podcast. It’s not just common advice that you know you should do, but tips that I have never heard before. The job search process is so overwhelming, so I’m grateful for a podcast like this!

I’ve been listening to Career Contessa for a couple years now, and last year I decided to sign up for the ‘Asking for a Raise’ course after listening to the episode with David Buckmaster on salary negotiations (Mar 2022). It took me two attempts, but I’m proud to report that this year I negotiated a promotion with a 13% raise and 5% bonus! It is so helpful to have a guide for these discussions that often seem murky. I discovered Career Contessa on Instagram originally, and found the podcast several months ago while deciding whether or not to make a career move. I’ve found new and older episodes equally helpful and interesting. I share certain episodes that really resonate with friends and my employees.

Only area for improvement to me would be consider if a music bed is really needed or if it’s fighting with the interviewer’s answers. Overall love this podcast tho!

When I was in the everyday busy work in a male-dominated workplace, listening to stories and tips from other professional women would have helped me feel less isolated and find solutions to the problems I was facing as a woman (very different from the perspective from other men)! I’ve been following Career contessa on social media and get the emails and all the content and info is so great. Lauren does a great job with this podcast with diving into conversations related to jobs, career development, resumes, etc. such a helpful platform with resources and connections.

Should this whole podcast be renamed to include that it’s focused on working moms, not working women as a whole? You’re leaving out almost 30% of women that don’t or CAN’T have children. Still women, still with all the micro aggressions, almost always still caregivers, not all mothers. What about caretaking aging parents?

This weeks was perfect. I thoughtfully quit my job from burn out and took December off to enjoy myself along with the holidays and now I’ve been listening to the podcast for tips since I’ve been in the job market again. I love it so much thank you for this. So many are helpful and encouraging.

As someone who truly hates all business and career focused podcasts, I can say with 100% confidence that I have yet to hear an episode of the Femails that I don’t like! They provide actual useful information that you can take and apply to your own life and career and make you feel less alone in the career struggles we all face as women! I am obsessed with this podcast!!

I moved to USA from Europe and it has been quite a journey to learn how to handle my career in usa. It is more competitive here and people learn to network, build resumes and pitch themselves from an early age. I had to learn all these things in my thirties and listening to Femals has been such an amazing help during this process. I ‘ve listened to all episodes since I discovered this podcast and have recommended it to few friends.

I really enjoy The Females because it talks about topics that are on my mind and I can relate to them, and know others are thinking the same and solving the same problem. In one episode they talked about how black women are prioritizing self care, and as a white woman who didn’t grow up in the US but lives in the US, I find it so valuable when I have a chance to get other perspectives and understand the dynamics and different challenges black women face. There is also so much we as females have in common and I loved the conversation about setting boundaries. They gave tips about how to frame setting boundaries that show you love people, like telling them you need space, or empower then to self solve so you get a break, and this was really true and something I will start trying. There’s one episode with Lauren Vanderkam where she mentions the importance of planning your week or weeks ahead vs. in hours, such as planning your work week ahead on a Friday afternoon and this mindset has definitely helped my productivity!
