Modernist82…Information overall is accurate psychology wise. Although at times I need to skip over many things due to TOO much personal information being given which isn’t relevant and added time. I listen to podcast daily and I skip over this one at times due to the personal information that is continued week after week and time that could be towards more relevant info.

Demi from the candy land !One of my favorite podcasts !!!This is seriously therapy in a podcast - I been in therapy for years and honestly that has barely scratched the surface compared to the depth that Abby goes into in these episodes. In Abby’s words, this is good stuff ❤️

TyTy_9210/10I am enjoying listening to your podcast on my drive home or at the gym. Whenever I get free time it feels great to gain so much knowledge and gain the tools to navigate healthy relationships not only with others but with myself also. Thank you for your content!

vicky.54great tips and adviceAbby knows exactly what shes talking about. her words are so calming and they make you feel understood. The examples she uses and the life like scenarios make me feel like im not the only one going through these things. The free worksheets and free kits she has have helps so much. she really does care about her listeners. she doesnt just try to make you buy stuff without knowing if you need it or not. shes just great and all her words are backed up by research.

MB__03Saving my mental health and relationships!I can feel this podcast helping my relationship with my partner and bettering my mindset towards my rocky relationship with his sister. Your lessons are becoming part of my daily routine, and I can feel myself reaching a healthier mindset I didn’t think possible without therapy. Thank you Abby! Much love, Your listener

RimmirmirYesDirect, unpretentious, practical help. Doesn’t replace therapy, but in many regards more useful. Also weirdly addictive! Maybe Abby can explain that…

Carly0421Life-changing podcast!!!!!Abby’s podcast has truly been life changing for me when it comes to boundaries, effective communication, and fostering healthy relationships. Not only does she provide research based information to shed light on questions/topics, but she offers in depth tips/tricks and a plethora of resources to aid in learning (blog posts, journal prompts, meditations, etc.). She is truly a bright light in the world and I often feel as if her love is “radiating” through my phone while she shares her messages and connects with her listeners. I HIGHLY recommend listening to Abby Medcalf’s podcast!!

HazelisadogLife changing podcastI am obsessed with Abby and her podcasts because she really truly cares about the well being of her listeners. I’ve listened to so many that her voice is now a calming presence in my life and just makes me feel happy. She has changed my thinking about so much and my life feels happier and much more fulfilled than before I found her. She cares so much and I agree that if everyone listened to her podcast, the world would be such a better place. Thank you Abby for all you have done for me and sharing your expertise for the good of humanity ♥️

LuLu StalSaved my sanityI started listening to Abby when my relationship was going through tough times. With her no nonsense guidance I was able to think clearer, keep my emotions in check and focus on what I could control which was me. I am better for taking care of me and focusing on me during these difficult times. Her podcast about social anxiety was also spot on and I wished I had heard it sooner. I signed up for her LoveLetter and appreciate her help.
-
phone-momDo the work!Abby is wonderful, down to earth and easy to understand. But if you expect to change by listening to one episode you are not in the right place. You are here because you want change. It will be work. It will take time to change habits and love yourself. Abby has the tools right here. But reading them once will be enough. It only works if you work it. Love and good luck!
-

-
cindykc56Love your podcast, Dr Abby, but hate the adsHello Dr Abby, The reason I gave you a two star is due to too many ads that take up at least two minutes of each episode. Please take out the ads for the upcoming episode going forward.
-
FonsheaValuable information!!I wish I could rate more than five stars! I’ve only listened to 3 podcast so far & I already love Abby!!! The podcast I listened to really explained a lot of my haunting behaviors!!! It’s one thing to have good, valuable information on hand, but when it’s also backed up by research & a licensed professional..it makes it even better! Abby, you are truly a kind soul to offer such valuable advice free of charge! (Don’t start charging btw lol ) & I pray that you are blessed with longevity & happiness! Much love ❤️

Bballgrl4everWarning: will change your lifeI have been listening to this podcast for over a year, and I am grateful for it daily. It has transformed my interactions with others and with myself. Dr. Abby lovingly calls attention to the patterns that we build up in our heads without realizing, and then practically shows you how to work through them in every single episode. She is incredibly wise, passionate, and kind—her authenticity is refreshing. If you’re unsure where to begin, start with the “204-Step-by-Step Guide to Starting Your Day Right”, and “003-Thinking Your Day has 24 Hours is Wrong” for time management and self-care. I recommend “124-How to Listen Without Getting Defensive or Hurt” and “252-Instead of Date Nights, Work on Micro-Connections” for relationship work. You can’t go wrong wherever you start, this podcast is a gift.
-

Kristin NagleCan’t say enough good thingsI can’t say enough good things about Abby’s podcast. I came across her podcast when I was in a time of need of learning how to cope with my depression and stress. Now I stay because there is so much I’m learning from her episodes. She is relatable, funny and always leaves you with good tips and tricks to use. If you are unable to see a therapist or need help sorting out some troubles or just want to learn about yourself I highly recommend listening. Also, her episodes are ad free which is also a treat! Thank you Abby for having this resource 🫶🏻
-
Das_manglerYou’ve helped me become a better man for my relationshipAll of Dr. Abby’s advice and resources are so very helpful and have brought me more happiness for myself and in my relationship. I looked forward to every episode. Thank you so much!

Jessie YarmoffAbby is on point! Finally found where to write reviews! This is the longest I have stuck to listening to any podcast and that is because Abby’s podcast is the most useful. That is not only because I’m training to be a couple’s therapist, but because she gives me tools to improve my personal life. She helps me make sense of the most prominent difficult feelings and struggles I experience and provides evidence-based clear steps to improvement. She is also so caring and sweet; I feel like her voice is the mother I never had. Love you (Dr.) Abby! :)
-
melbak99Thank youI was recently diagnosed with CPTSD and my therapist recommended your podcast. It has been so helpful for me to not feel alone on my healing journey and it really helps to listen in between my therapy sessions. I love the way you lay it out.
-
BrownEyedEmmaLife changing content! And for the best! Plus Abby is fun too!I cannot begin to express how my life has changed since I began listening to Abby. TRULY how do I thank this woman enough for all the knowledge she has given me using her data or insights or the ACTUAL results utilizing her life hacks and skill sets have given my life! Literally priceless. And also free! Makes me think of that saying, “nothing is free, you have to PAY ATTENTION” and I now set aside time to listen to a podcast a day. She never disappoints! And you can just go to YouTube and search Abby Medcalf and any topic of interest or concern in your life and there she is… ready with well researched data to give you insight, love and support. She (and her listeners I’m sure) are oft moved to tears! THANK YOU ABBY!

This podcast is an oasis in a time of information overload. Thanks Abby!
-
GlennypooAmazing & so helpful podcastThey are full of helpful information with lots of actionable steps and insights. She’s helped me with my fiancé and I’m so grateful for this podcast. Seriously life changing!
-
Eshel05She’s so awesomeI came across this podcast earlier this year because I was in a really hard place. After listening to one of her podcasts, I found myself using her tips and tricks and my life became a lot better because of it. Her suggestion of tracking feelings when you are around certain people helped me realize one of my friends was always making me feel very unloved and bad and it helped me let go of that friendship that I might not have otherwise. I kept listening and I love her take on relationships and listening to her has been a blessing.
-
slightly graySuch valuable infoI really love these podcasts. Abby clearly does a ton of research before each episode and that’s so appreciated. She’s also funny and cheeky which I really like. Thanks so much for what you do!

-
sassygirl10Listen to most episodesAbby is great. Her tips and steps are practical and effective. One thing though, when she says “I can go on…” she means it! Lots of content about Abby herself 😂
-

-
@CamCamVoightLife changingThe love I have for Abby and her work is truly hard to sum up into words. No matter what the episode title or content is, her knowledge and expertise bring my mind and heart right back to where it should be within my marriage…even when I don’t want to hear it! Abby, you have improved my marriage by way of keeping my mindset clear and my intentions loving and kind through some truly difficult relationship trials. I have re-listened to your book 3x now and whenever I feel my marriage slipping out of my control, I hit play again and I am brought right back into my path of loving kindness. I love you right back, Abby!! Thank you for what you do and for making the world a better place, one heart and mind at a time. I have learned (from you) that to be happily married is a daily choice, backed by daily actions of connection, understanding, communication, and compassion…I’ll be here listening for as long as you are here pouring into us! THANK YOU! Love, Cameron

SmAshley_JaneLiterally improved my life so muchOkay one I don’t listen to podcast’s constantly but I can’t get enough of this show! Two, I had to google how to even find the review section on a podcast to do this because this is a relationship, I hear ya! 🫡 ma’am yes ma’am! But for real I can’t even begin to describe how great this podcast is and how it’s changed so much of my life. I’m not in a relationship, this literally has just helped me grow as a person. My mom shared this podcast a month or so back to help me with some difficult coworkers and I have been obsessed ever since. My quality of life at work as improved so much from Abby’s advice and tips. I’ve challenged my avoidance behaviors by confronting/communicating with my boss, I’m trying to stop complaining and holding onto resentment (so much happier), I’ve stopped self-sabotage on my top goals, I’ve started getting up early and focusing on my sleep and mornings, I’ve started meditating and practicing mindfulness, and 👏 I 👏 could 👏 keep 👏 going 👏!!! And those are just the tangible things! Those don’t even cover the things I’ve learned in general that have helped my awareness or perspective on situations. This podcast has even helped me realize how much I would thrive with therapy thats tailored to me. I’ve always put therapy off even if I know it’s what I should do or even need to do, but I’ve been anxious that I will just vent, not make any change and get shamed or frustrated when I to each session. This podcast had been general but instructive enough for me to try my hand at something similar to therapy, but at a distance and with no pressure. And it’s made me actually really excited to find a therapist near me to help continue growing in a more tailored, specific way. I’m still making my way through the show, kind of at random, but this has been such a god send for me and I seriously cannot thank Abby enough. PS: I hope I haven’t somehow missed this but I’d love to show my appreciation through a gift. (My love language ♥️) If there is a way I can donate to the podcast for production or maybe a crowd fund for low-income therapy clients of Abby’s- I’d love to give some love back and pass it along. I’ll keep and ear out if that’s possible 👂

bparker11483Great PodcastI am a self aware narcissist and am trying to improve my relationships with my loved ones. Dr. Abby has a unique way of presenting information that captures and holds the listeners attention. She breaks things down to where someone like me who has low emotional intelligence can understand and relate to. I really like the way that she holds the listener accountable for their behaviors, which is something I desperately need. I have been able to change my perspective on relationships and make noticeable positive changes in them just from listening to a few of her episodes. Her podcast is tied with Dr. Eric Perry’s “Recovery For The Narcissist” for my favorite podcast. Thank you Dr. Abby!
-
Renee_K123We should all leave Abby more reviews when she asksI’ve been listening to this podcast for a few weeks now. Super helpful but she also keeps it funny and entertaining. I truly look forward to listening to her episodes and I’ve notice a huge improvement in my life after incorporating her tips. I always giggle when she tells us to go write a review RIGHT now (and I never do it cause I listen to her on Spotify), but she deserves it and I know this will help more people find her and apply her awesome advice to real life 🥹😍
-
AlwayswhenImeatingAmazing!I just found this podcast (read an article on your website then started following). I just finished the Jealousy episode and, like all the episodes, I really appreciate the actionable steps given for doing the work. There’s a lot of whiney psychobabble confessional podcasts out there and I appreciate the brevity and logic of yours. Thank you for all that you do!
-
DenisePodcastRatingsLove Love LoveI listen to this podcast on my walks and absolutely love them. Straight forward, real issues with real solutions. Always thought provoking and helpful. Great job!!!!’
-
grochinLife saving adviceI am a mess in my current relationship and stumbled upon Abby listening to another podcast. Her advice, along with the free tools she provides have been life saving to me. Her morning meditation on stopping negative thoughts was the sole thing that helped me get up from bed during a very challenging time. This is life long advice and for sure, anything I listen to and go ahead and try, has helped me gain peace and clarity, although it does come with some pain, sometimes. Thank you so much for everything you do Abby!
-
MrsMac3.0Fun, straight forward, do-ableI LOVE this podcast. It simplifies ideas that make sense! I found it looking for a “let go of ressentment podcast and now I’m hooked. Buy the book- it’s great. So excited to dive into my new tool kits! Thank you Abby!
-
DavecscottOkay adviceDr. Abby, while wise, talks too much. Get to the point. And the advice about the episode on staying friends with an ex is horrible. Shaming “Michelle” for her situation and how she’s feeling is unbelievably unhealthy. Any man/woman who’s stays friends with an ex, while dating someone else of the same gender, is bad form. There’s no need for it. Michelle’s feelings are valid and her bf needs to end the relationship with his ex. Pretty simple.
-
Kyle K_82Informative and InsightfulLove the advice and information from this podcast. Very enjoyable and relatable content. Keep up the great work.
