Seener1IntenseGreat podcast if you would like to learn about Iceland, traveling and living there. I love the content that talks about things to do or history. I tend to skip the ones that get into the politics or social issues of Iceland as that’s not my interest. One minor criticism is she uses the word “Intense” on every episode. I don’t know if everything should be labeled as intense but it makes for a great drinking game.

JB20000001300Excellent podcast that helped us plan a great trip to IcelandI found the All Things Iceland podcast in the planning stage of our Iceland trip. Jewells does a great job teaching about the culture of Iceland. She has many practical tips about the logistics of traveling Iceland. We learned a lot about the best places to go, what to pack and how to navigate this magical country. Thanks to Jewells we had a great time on the Cat Tour with Your Friend in Reykjavik, Sky Lagoon, took a tour with Volcano Heli, enjoyed many sights along the South Coast and ate great vegan food. Keep up the great work!!

StefanieUVAFun and informative for anyone wanting to learn about Iceland!Very helpful podcast for preparing for a trip to Iceland. Jewells is entertaining and informative, and I was so glad I downloaded this show to listen to on my flight. Her packing list helped us grab what we needed at home before leaving and prevented us from having to pay the higher prices in Reykjavik. The only disappointment- not running into Jewells during my travels there!

NicDelg❤️Best Podcast on Iceland!I ran across Jewells podcast researching a future trip for Iceland. That quickly led to me binge listening to ALL episodes! Such a lovely relaxed speaking voice that makes it such a pleasure to listen too while learning a ton about Iceland. I really enjoy how current events are melded with folklore. And also the way you include what’s going on that month in regards to traveling around the area, the weather, etc. it’s made deciding when exactly I want to go easier to decide on. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion of Iceland!

TurquoiseCat13Excellent podcast!I found “All Things Iceland” via TikTok and wasn’t aware there was a podcast until I started searching for content in anticipation of a trip I took to RVK in October 2023 (and started planning trip #2 before I left). Jewells chooses insightful topics and keeps listeners’ interested—and often fascinated. Her voice is soothing and enthusiastic at the same time.

busLawProfUseful and informativeWe traveled to Iceland in January 2023 and this podcast was SO helpful! Jewells has a relaxed style that makes you feel as if she is sitting in your living room chatting about this beautiful country. Definitely listen to the podcasts on what to pack, and what each month is like in Iceland.

Mel Loves IcelandI can’t believe I didn’t know about this podcast!I’ve been interested in visiting Iceland for years and finally did it last January 2023 and fell in love-with the island! I’ve been 3x this year alone and hoping to spend time during every season. I listen to a lot of podcasts but somehow I missed this “gem” from Jewells! Pun intended! I’ve started listening from episode 1 and working my way forward and I am excited there are so many to enjoy! I am so impressed with Jewells’ language skills and love how she teaches a word every episode. As a fellow American from the East Coast I am inspired by her passion for such a beautiful and wonderful country. And maybe I’ll follow in her footsteps and move there too! Thanks Jewells for this wonderful podcast!

Dice DivaA must-listen if you are visiting IcelandI binge-listened to several of Jewells’ podcasts to prepare for my recent trip to Iceland. The episodes with practical tips, such as for driving and avoiding tourist traps and expensive pitfalls, were incredibly useful. I significantly adjusted my packing list after listening to one of the episodes, and rented an insulated raincoat from IcelandCover using Jewell’s discount code, which worked out great. And the episodes about history, culture, and language helped me understand the place I was visiting beyond just the beautiful scenery. Listening to the podcast helped me feel less like a tourist and more like an informed visitor. Thanks, Jewells!

Dr. MarysiaListen to JewellsJewells is truly a gem!! This podcast provides such great information for those who are planning a visit to Iceland and for those who are intrigued but haven’t planned a trip just yet. Each episode provides the listener with the important FYI and the podcast itself focuses on a multitude of topics from visiting during a specific month to historical information about Iceland. I’ve always wanted to visit Iceland and after seeing Jewells in a documentary I started following her on instagram and was so happy to find out that she had a podcast!! I listened to a handful of episodes and decided I couldn’t wait any longer and so earlier this week I booked my first solo trip to Iceland and will be visiting in about 6 weeks (first week in October). It is evident that Jewells loves the country and wants to provide potential visitors with relevant and helpful information so that others enjoy the beauty and wonder of the land of fire and ice. Thank you Jewells for all that you do!
-
Krysta SpirroGood but audio needs workThe podcast is good and very interesting but Jewells uses a bizarre, whispery ASMR voice in many episodes which quickly becomes irritating and makes it impossible to focus on the actual content or even hear her words properly. I’m not sure why she uses this voice for the podcast yet uses a normal and audibly clear voice on her YouTube channel. If she addressed that issue, this would massively improve the podcast.
-
art10yojEverything you need to know & moreJewells provides the best information about visiting and the local culture in Iceland. Great travel trips—both must know and little known facts. I did not know where to start when I planned our 9-day ring road trip and I am really glad I found this podcast. Forget the guidebooks, listen to this podcast instead!

Meg Jean FitzFabulous cultural, practical, and language Iceland infoThis is a must listen to podcast about Iceland a stunning island of fire and ice. My husband and I were lucky to find it in preparation for a visit. Jewells does a fabulous job sharing bite-sized cultural, practical, and language information about Iceland. We found it so informative, calming, and fun to listen to we’ve kept it in our regular circulation.
-
Stasia from TampaVery informativeAppreciate the insiders perspective on all things, Iceland. My only recommendation would be to record your narrative a little bit louder. It’s kind of hard to hear you, despite having the volume all the way up. Thanks!
-
Carmie H MEHighly recommend! All the timeI was just recommending this series to a friend (and I’ve recommended it to so many friends) and I only just notified I’ve never submitted a review before. I love this podcast and every episode is wonderful and helpful. Thank you.

HNelsnAn Enjoyable Listen & the Best Resource to Prepare for a TripA wonderful down to earth podcast for potential and current travelers to Iceland! I went to Iceland 7 years ago and wish I’d had this podcast then. Jewells is so relatable and does a wonderful job of painting a picture. She also does her research! We are planning another trip to other parts of the country and her episode on Akuryri got me even more excited for our journey. Can’t wait to keep listening before and during our journey. Thank you, Jewells!
-
Sedgwick64Host MeandersThe host meanders and is not able to focus conversations in interviews and then laughs so much constantly that it gets on your nerves like you are just hearing two random people on a bus talking about their boring lives
-
nathanaelhkbSo fun and educational!Jewells is awesome and has helped me out with her ‘All Things Iceland’ podcast and YouTube channels! Rodolfo RuizA pleasure to listenIceland captured my heart a few years back and I’ve been planning how to move myself and my business there. ‘All things Iceland’ is my main source of exploration and learning about the country, its culture, and the way of living. iKoreisNewly Expanded FanHello, and much love from Stow, OH. My name is Kris (Kori) and until I met Jewells (I feel like I know her) I had absolutely zero interest in Iceland. Not, that I didnt like Iceland, but it just seemed like such a far away place and such a distant notion for me. Now, I feel like Iceland has been underrated, and the beauty of its culture, people, and country overlooked. As a fellow woman of color, I admit that one of the reasons it felt so distant was due to my belief that Iceland history had absolutely no place for me. That I could come and go w/no trace; indeed my entire race could be largely or wholly ignored in such a place and the appeal was a bit wanting. Perhaps I have misjudged and perhaps not, but the world seems so much happier and more wondrous (adventurous) since I discovered Jewells living her romantic and career dreams in Iceland. I am happy and hopeful and feel excitement watching; there's this anticipation, waiting to see and hear what she will discover next, and whether she will ever love licorice, which I don't like at all, Lol. Congratulations Jewells, on your 'Equal Rights" Award. You deserve it. We love you and wish you all the love and the many many blessings you can have and more!
-
AVERY8DSo entertaining!I’m an American that was supposed to visit Iceland for the first time in 2020, and I began listening to All Things Iceland in anticipation of this trip. Of course the trip was cancelled, but I continued to listen to this podcast because I’ve really enjoyed the interviews and learning about the country. I’ll get there someday!
-
workcreateEngaging InterviewsAll Things Iceland is more than a travel podcast or a novelty podcast. I enjoy listening to this podcast not only because of the information on Iceland the place, but also the focus on and engagement with a wide variety of Icelanders. That approach offers as much insight into the place as anything, and is enhanced by Jewell’s low key, warm, intimate style on the podcast. I always learn something when listening and have my curiosity whetted for more.
-
enguetePerfect to listen for a long car rideJewells does an incredible job with presenting Icelandic culture through thoughtful questions & comments.

jsburnichAs Charming as Iceland Is CaptivatingI have been a regular listener of the All Things Iceland podcast and was sure I had already left a review. But, it looks like I didn't, which is an oversight I'd like to fix. It's lovely to have had the opportunity to listen to Jewells when she started her journey with From Foreign to Familiar to All Things Iceland. You can tell she loves the subject of this podcast. But her observations and interviews don't put Iceland on a pedestal. Her appraisals are honest and real to her experience. She keeps an open mind and always wants to learn something new about her home. That makes listening to this podcast a delight, especially if you are like me and have an inexplicable yearning for, ahem, all things Iceland. I look forward to each episode. There's isn't a stinker in the bunch. When you consider that it's more or less a one-woman show - booking guests, conducting interviews, editing, etc. - the program's quality is even more impressive. I plan on being a listener for a long as Jewells produces the show. I encourage anyone with even a passing or fleeting interest in Iceland to give the show a listen. You just might get hooked.
-
J D A T LPerfect pandemic listeningWe may not be able to travel but you can transport to Iceland with Jewells here. History, politics, activism, culture and more, with a lot of interesting guests and perspectives.

WWendiLove Jewels and her All Things Iceland!I first stumble across her YouTube channel about a year ago, and finally remembered to listen to her podcast when I needed something diverting but meaningful when the pandemic craziness hit.
