    Simply the Best
I love this podcast so so much. Dan and Conrad are funny, insightful, and so intelligent. Their hard work and passion is evident in every single episode. From writing their own jingles for every episode, to watching different cuts of each film, to researching directorial intent, each episode is packed with all of their love. And I am here for it. Beyond all this, they are so kind and respectful to their fans and patrons. Movie Oubliette has created an amazing community of fans, geeks, and cinephiles, that I am so grateful to be a part of. I have loved going through their back catalogue of episodes. Thank you so much.

This podcast is a rare find indeed.
There are many podcasts revisiting film history in any number of genres. They are generally produced by people with a passion for their work, are always interesting, and often enjoyable. Movie Oubliette is in my humble opinion, the best of them. Focused on horror/fantasy & sci fi, Conrad and Dan have created ~130 hours of finished, solid work in a little over 4 years. It is difficult to imagine how many more hours are spent in production. They have worked hard both pre and post pandemic and the product is both tight and entertaining. This podcast is a rare find indeed. Thanks for the catchy interludes, the sound FX, the laughter, the guests, but above all, the interesting discussion. Hats off to a job well done.

    A nostalgic great time
I found Conrad and Dan through Dremaland podcast crossover. Their movie reviews are fun and quirky. A very nostalgic great time with the movies I grew up with and still watch. The production is very professional, and it feels like they are talking directly to me. Wish we all lived closer so we could have a drink and cigar and discuss movies in person! This is the next best thing to being there! A+ 2 enthusiastic thumbs up! Keep up the good work guys!!

    So much nostalgia and joy
I’d never heard about Movie Oubliette until they did a crossover with Dreamland and I instantly fell in love with Dan and Conrad’s review methodology and entertainment value. Both appear to be very passionate and knowledgeable about the film industry and each episode brings a nostalgic smile to my face. Most of the films that are reviewed I grew up with and it’s super fun to hear their take on them with that 20/20 hindsight. Thank you both for such excellent entertainment. :D

    Fun and informative
Love that you guys focus on more obscure horror movies. Love even more that you’re one of the very few podcasts anymore that manages to not talk about politics constantly and actually focus on what the podcast is about. Awesome work lads! Look forward to more.

I’ve been consigned to the oubliette forever
Movie Oubliette is simply a joy to listen to. Dan and Conrad have such wonderful chemistry and give me great insight into the obscure films I love, the ones I’ve never heard of, and those I need to see for myself. I don’t listen to very many podcasts, as I find most hosts to lack charisma, but these two have it in spades. I would recommend this to any film fan. They review the films others tend to forget, but I never forget to come back for every new episode. Check it out.

Movie analysis with a fun twist!
This has become my new favorite podcast. There are so many movie podcasts out there, but Conrad and Dan elevate the art form with their sharp analysis, their high production quality (I challenge you NOT to have their theme song stuck in your head after one episode), and their knowledge of so many aspects of film production. You really learn to appreciate the art and craft of what goes into even a movie you don’t love. Rather than just mocking films they really discuss their strengths and weaknesses, and I’m so happy we get to go along for the ride.

My Positive, Playful Review of a Delightful Podcast
I discovered this podcast through Cold Crash Pictures / Serge’s weekly tweets. As I am a dedicated fan of Serge’s YouTube video essays and am generally interested in his film opinions, however odd the film in question, his tweet-alongs intrigued me enough to give the podcast a listen. It is quite frankly a singularly enjoyable experience. I have barely any familiarity with the films discussed (except Ladyhawke, you monsters; the 80s synth score is a decadent delight & clearly elevated it to new heights of cinematic entertainment. Have you no hearts??) and none with the hosts, but their chemistry is palatable, the banter immensely enjoyable, their discussions fascinating & well articulated, and the format incredibly fun. I am still making my way backwards through their past episodes but can definitively say this is a solid show and would highly recommend everyone to give them a listen. You can’t really hold their blasphemous Ladyhawke beliefs against them too stringently; we must be gracious to those unfortunate souls who can not know the depths of joy & hilarity of said film and pity them accordingly. But really, the show is fantastic. Hope they one day watch & discuss Ridley Scott’s 1985 film Legend (any cut whatever; it’s got like, what, seven? The typical excessive Ridley Scott number of cuts). Hope the review is helpful to potential listeners into giving the podcast a go and in boosting their engagement level for algorithmic reasons.

    Always a Joy!
This is one of the few movie podcasts I will listen to no matter which movie they are covering. Dan and Conrad’s chemistry is so natural and they always choose amazing guests. They are always reliably entertaining.

    Creative and Smart
This podcast has introduced me to tons of weird and wonderful films I had never heard of. Even having not seen some of the films, it is delightful to hear Dan and Conrad’s take on them. The podcast is creative and the hosts really know what they are talking about.

    Trash
Advertised their podcast on Neil Gaiman’s twitter only to crap all over his and Dave McKean’s film “Mirrormask” because it “doesn’t have puppets”. You idiots should Brexit podcasting and go get a life, losers.

    A delightful review podcast
Spot on reviews of lesser known movies. Being a dumb American, really enjoy the charmingly funny British banter as well. Thanks for this!

Brilliant! Fun, articulate and well produced! I’m hooked.

Best Obscure-Movie Podcast I’ve Ever Heard
Podcasts that specialize in obscure genre-films are a dime-a-dozen, but this is the only one I’ve ever found that transcends two persistent problems with the genre: (1) it’s fun to listen to even if you HAVEN’T seen the film in question, and (2) it more than justifies its length. It’s easy to write off a podcast that’s almost as long as the film being discussed as overwrought, but hosts Conrad and Dan do a fantastic job of combining articulate criticism, playful banter, fascinating trivia, and a really fun format so that the podcast is often even more appealing than some of the films they discuss!

    Oubliette = Dungeon!!!
Just saving you folks the search, m'kay? It means DUNGEON. "Movie Dungeon." But it sounds prettier. Also, these folks are funny and talented and deserve your ears. And if you really love them, I encourage you to poke about the website hitRECord to reckon with the larger scope of their abilities.

    A Cinephiles Joy!
Movie Oubliette takes a more analytical approach to the forgotten films of yesteryear without being overtly negitive. Hosts Conrad and Dan have great chemistry and manage to entertain with unquie segments, inspired takes, and plucky bits of sound desgin. I'm only a few episodes in, but I can't wait to listen to more! If you're into movies, particularly B rated Sci-fi and horror, this is the podcast for you!
