ShoeslaceGender bias???I just subscribed, and wow, was I in for a shock? Listening to the male co-host emphasize that Beyoncé should only launch products related to being a mom was shocking the outright gender bias is wild. Tech is notorious for racial and gender disparities, so hearing these comments, which were co-signed by other host, is a huge red flag. It’s a no for me based on the explicit bias.

OnelongjourneyRefreshing!I found the podcast via insta reels and am soooo happy. I wish I found it sooner. They actually share their thoughts on the latest news vs just interviewing the new tech CEO in the market. Refreshing! They also don’t shy away when sharing thoughts and opinions about sustainability and social impact when it comes to the latest tech 👌🏾 I started from ep 1 but may need to listen to the latest episodes because it really feels like you’re a fly on the wall listening to good friends discuss things. Really excited for some of the topics to come full circle like WeWork, Elon Musk and so much more. Thank you both and keep going!! 💪🏾❤️

jenniesamataLove to see and hear us talk about techThis is a thoughtful and insightful podcast for anyone to listen to. Even if you are not in the tech industry (I work in finance) it offers a unique perspective. Abadesi and Micheal are a great team and I look forward to every episode. Thank you both!

Joshowbai11/10 would recommendThere aren’t many tech focused podcast featuring black people out there, but if there could only be one, Techish should be it. As a black software engineer, their experiences, topics, and views are so relatable and I am so happy that they’re finally getting the recognition they deserve. Every week Abadesi and Michael give me good laughs, good insights, and a sense of belonging being a black person in the tech community. There’s never a dull moment here, and if podcast got Grammys, Techish would win them all. No kizzy!
-
KenzieisalionThe podcast every black millennial needs to listen toAbadesi and Michael bring forward topics that might get pushed under the rug by larger media and give a voice to Black people working in tech. Having the discussions about web3, stocks, inequality and throwing in the right amount of humor and joy makes this easily one of my favorite podcasts. I look forward to a potential video stream in the future!
-
gabriellasshtech news done right!love this podcast! it's interesting to hear an unfiltered perspective on the biggest news impacting the tech space, from the meh to the wild 🤯 i believe Abadesi and Michael are two of the smartest voices doing it today, the commentary is always interesting, conscious and super funny!
-
nick778887Best Bit-Sized Latest Tech InformationI love this podcast because they briefly cover the latest and most interesting tech stories in a way that’s still delineated, and with nuanced perspective. They’re also funny and feed off each other well. It’s an enjoyable listen.
-
KayBee9901Truth in a world of Tech liesThe pod brings clarity to the rat race of working and interacting within the tech industry. Appreciate the insight!

MsymnsHere for the culture!!Life is better when Techish pod is dropping new episodes. I love going throughout my week, seeing some tech news and wondering, “Oh! What is Michael and Abadesi going to say about this?” I LOVE this podcast! It is the perfect balance of tech news and pop cultures with two brilliant folks of color giving the run down of what is happening. It’s like your catching up with some smart friends over coffee listening to their brilliance 🤩😆 just a good time 😉
-
IconDee15Black, smart, informative, opinionated, and black. One of the most enjoyable podcast I listen too. They speak on current topics around tech and give great opinions on being black in the tech industry. You may not agree with one of them, but it’s real based in real facts. They have a great vibe and can give great insight with their experience they have in careers.
-
Ceddy MossQuality ConentSo happy I started listening to these two. Abadesi and Michael do a terrific job of reporting the latest in tech, culture and world in general. I trust them to give me gems and laughs on every listen. Definitely tap in.

The love is real I’m truly happily y’all return. It’s great to hear different opinions and views about topics from people that you don’t necessarily agree with but it’s coming from a good place. And that’s why it’s worth it good thoughts from good people.

JulianabooleanCame for the black tech and stayed for all the vibesI gotta say, I love this duo. This was one of those podcast where I knew it was a hit from day one. As a black tech professional and Texan, let me say that y’all keep it real when many don’t. I feel like I’m in a great Twitter thread where it’s straight facts all the way to the bottom. Also I love the energy—it’s enriching and wholesome. When y’all sell merch, I’m buying 10.

JLeb617My Favorite PodcastSoooo there’s so much to love about this podcast. The content is unique and interesting, real and important topics are discussed, and the news is brought in a clear, fun, and fresh manner. What I love more than anything is the hosts! Their approach to nuanced topics is refreshing. While the conversation comes natural to these two, they are purposeful about their words and never afraid to play Devil’s Advocate to bring a different perspective. They both bring such different perspectives and even when they do agree with each other they always present all sides and the experiences of those around them, even if it hasn’t been their own. This is the blueprint!
-
Yeahitsmeokso enlighteningI need to know the hosts zodiac signs haha.
-
KandicandoitIf 2021 is about growth, you need this one!Techish is having the exact conversations that I wish I had with my peer group. This show has gotten me through an isolated 2020 and brick cold NYC winter. Almost every episode I’m taking notes to look up things I don’t understand or that I’ve been introduced to, through this podcast. Abadesi and Michael clearly know their stuff but beyond that it’s more than evident that they’re humble. I earnestly began listening with interest in what conversations POC are having abroad and I genuinely feel more connected to the show hosts and topics than I ever could have anticipated. I look forward to new episodes and any growth or community built with this podcast! Thank you both!
-
Blessking10This podcast is the best for the cultureThis is definitely my favorite podcast I’m excited every week to hear a new episode. Every week is informative. I am also building a tech company from the ground up so hearing different things in the tech world keeps me on my toes. Love it!!!!
-
Dreaming WarriorPerfect intersection of tech and (western) blacknessThis podcast is *chef’s kiss*. I write down so many of Abadesi’s quotes because homegirl has BARS. She’s a poet omg. Michael is literally the only devil’s advocate in the universe that is actually correct. I always want to roll my eyes 🙄 then in the end he’s actually right. Side note: I was the one that DM’d that dancing baby on IG. Sending love from LA!!! ❤️🙆🏿♀️❤️
-
Ismael MarteBlack + TechI love tuning into this podcast in the morning on my way to work. I love hearing black voices tell the truths that no one else wants to talk about. I love this podcast. Keep it up. Love from New York City
-
Bazza_01Keep on keepin on, fam!Bingeing the Techish podcast today. If you're brown/black and work in tech, you should check it out. The latest developments in tech told from the POC perspective. Probably the coolest podcast in the world right now.
-
sjeinffjxundLove this!As a black queer femme engineer, I just wanna say that I love this podcast! Keep doing what you’re doing! Much love from the US too!
-
Kwe Kool'nFeels Like HomeI love this podcast. Being an African-American in the tech industry it feels good to have people that I relate to. I’ve recently been out of the job and y’all help keep me up to date. Thank you for making this podcast!! I would love to chop it up with you guys in person at a conference once the world opens up 💪🏾

MtkornegayWhy Kanye every episodeI don’t wanna hear about Kanye every episode real talk !
-
DinusaurrrI feel so seen! This is so refreshing, so relatable, so grounding.I absolutely love Techish. I’ve been listening to this podcast for the last year and a bit and it’s been amazing to see how the show has evolved and grown in that time. Listening to Abadesi and Michael feels like I’m having a conversation with friends I’ve known for years. Techish went from being a fun entertaining podcast I enjoyed to one that goes further to really challenge and push me to think about about what I’m consuming through media and how I’m interpreting it. I love how they breakdown different topics, share different perspectives and give so much context from their years earned industry knowledge. As a POC in tech, it’s easy to feel drowned out by the voices of people who are so different from me. It is so grounding and encouraging to hear about experiences navigating this tech world from hosts who share my background (underrepresented young professional, living in the western world, coming from a first generation immigrant family). I feel so seen and validated when I listen to these shows, It is so important for those of us earlier in our careers to hear these voices, please never stop producing this podcast!
-

-
Gjacolby83Love this podcastI really enjoy listening to this podcast. The content is relevant and necessary. Abadesi and Micheal both have great personalities which makes the come off as fun but the are talking about real issues. Even if you are not into tech, Im willing to bet that you can take something away by running in.
-
boycottventuresGreat podcast!!I love you guys - very knowledgeable and always giving an interesting spin on tech news. Michael talks over Abadesi a fair bit though - please allow her to finish her sentences! (Thought I can hear it is through excitement vs. disrespect). Congrats to you both on an awesome podcast.
-

Whether you're in the tech field, an entrepreneur, looking to learn more about divserity and inclusion, or just want to hear interesting, current stories accompanied by great discussion, you'll enjoy this pod. mrsteveohBest Podcast for MillennialsMichael and Aba have THE best podcast out. They really find an entertaining way to voice their opinions on the “pop-tech-culture”. I really love how they highlight black excellence and black women in tech. This podcast is ahead of its time. Would recommend to anyone interested in this industry for their career.
-

-
Naya MossThis is now my GO TO podcastI've never experinced a podcast that feels you are in the room with the host. Abadesi and Michael and are welcoming, knowlegable, and bring legitamte question to the table about tech and pop culture. So far, my favorite and most inspirational episodes are: 2: Tech in Africa, Amazon’s world domination, Kylie Jenner tweeting away billions from Snap. 18: Will Smith the VC? Ride-sharing Zen Mode, Beyonce, Harvard & Stanford privilege? 27: Bootstrapping to a billion, Kanye meets Trump, RIP Google +, & Black History erasure. 28: Old vs. young founders? Netflix targeting black people, cutting off friends & Myspace? 29: Breaking into Tech, What Should Tech Work On, Tinder Economics & Somali Entrepreneurs.
-
codyjscott.#1 tech podcast 🙌🏾I listen to most of the “top rated” tech podcasts. I started listening to this a few months ago and now it’s a must listen! Techish is relatable and they offer fresh perspectives within the tech industry. I would recommend this podcast to any under represented millennial in tech.
-
cassssssshFinally, finally, finallyFinally a tech podcast that is for me. It is so hard to find content out there that I can relate to and that reassures me that this tech wilderness I am in is actually a place where I belong. All the stars!
-
TunscopiConnects with Black millennials (and other open-minded young people) very wellStarted listening a few weeks ago and have churned through a few of the older podcasts as well. I appreciate the content and discussion the hosts go into while keeping the atmosphere somewhat casual. They discuss Tech (and other topics I find interesting) in a remarkable way for young adults. 10/10 recommend for young tech entrepreneurs and wantrepreneurs!
-
Lee C DeeA tech podcast that’s actually entertainingI’ve tried to get into other tech podcasts to stay up to date with the industry but the hosts are usually so dry. Michael & Abedesi are informed, opinionated, and entertaining so this podcast is so easy to listen to. They never fail to weigh the diversity & inclusion as well as social morality/obligation of relevant tech news which I really enjoy. Great guests and content every week
-
Emmanuel E15 Stars. Relatable. Fresh & Innovative. As someone wanting to eventually break into the tech world, this podcast is a saving grace for both my social and professional career. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this.
-
sabasabssRefreshing & RelatableLove their commentary on stories in tech + culture - you’ll learn something, laugh, and start snapping in agreement to what they say!
-
mariachiVCInsightful commentary on the world of techI started listening to the podcast after learning about it from Backstage Capital. What an interesting take on technology! I really enjoy the way Michael and Abadesi speak about tech and how it continues to influence our global perspective and culture. Some of the commentary is raw and funny, and I gain fresh perspectives every time I listen. Thank you for putting this together and I look forward to listening to more podcasts in the future!
