    Always Improving
I have to say, this podcast brings a much different vibe than the other MtG pods out there. A lot of vulnerability, they talk about the personal parts of the pursuit of improvement in the hobby, and the emotional side of it all. Also bring great insight, although generally more focused than most on the broader aspects of improvement rather than format specific (although there’s plenty of meta specific analysis too). Can be kind of a heavy listen, honestly, but definitely doing something valuable and different than other people in the space.

    Consistent
This show is great about keeping the main focus on always improving. It’s one of the few MTG podcasts I can listen to regularly and know that I’m going to hear a high quality episode each week.

    Great except for Spencer
Mason and Abe are great but the podcast would be better if the sweaty guy they call Spencer wouldn’t interrupt what they’re saying literally every time they try to speak for more than 30 seconds. Seriously if I was his friend I would pull them aside and tell him to bite your tongue and let other people speak for more than a minute before you start over running them with your garbled speech that sounds like you haven’t finished chewing your mouth full of chicken wings. Seriously dude speak 50% less in the podcast would be listenable.

    Mixed feelings
Love Mason’s energy and how he seems very interested and is having fun! Aly on the other hand sounds like she does not want to be there, leaves Mason hanging and just is not enjoyable to listen to.

    These guys are awesome
If your into competitive magic and want to get better this is the podcast. I’ve been listening for years and I have learned so much about getting better at magic and even life it’s hard to believe. Great host Spencer, hall-of-famer Seth Manfield, and good pro Jon Stern!!! Give it a listen

    Great show, great team
I thoroughly enjoy Spencer, Seth, and Jon’s commentary on the game and it has helped me to improve in a very short time since returning. #alwaysimproving

Probably the best constructed podcast there is
Seriously, these guys know their stuff and will not pull any punches on telling you how they see things. The always improving segment really does help to remind me how I need to be getting better at things not just in magic but in life in general. Great show guys! Can't wait for Common Knowledge!

Best MTG Podcast Nobody Knows About
I've listened to practical most of the popular MTG podcasts and channels and this is up there with the best of them. Episodes usually covers what's going on in the meta and various "level up" topics that go over technical play, in-game strategy, out-game strategy, and how to behave as a more level headed player. I listen to every new episode, which I don't for any other major MTG podcast. I'm a bit surprised about this actually.
