Simple to understand, easy to remember
This is by far the best podcast if you want to get a foundational knowledge of AI and machine learning. I listed to this podcast first in 2018 and have since come back for a refresher. Great work, keep it simple.

    Incredible Resource
I’ve been perusing several ML intro courses - this podcast has been the most helpful and easy to understand of them all! The simple examples and crisp language keeps me coming back for more.

    SAS VIYA
Excellent job!! Kudos. Simple and yet laden with clear and precise explanation. Can you please cover SAS VIYA? Widely used, but don’t think you have covered so far.

Learn from practitioner, not from scientist
Don’t learn from Mathematicians, but learn from someone who is applying it or can help you visualize in your brain. You are doing great Tyler! Continue this or even speed up and add more topics on AI ML

    General explanation
I would give him 5 star. This guy is one of the best story telling. He explain the complicated word or topic before you ask you self the meaning of that word that mentioned in the podcast.

    Absolutely recommend this podcast series!
Tyler’s style of teaching is exactly what I’ve been looking for for years. He does a really fantastic job of explaining otherwise complicated Machine Learning topics in a way that beginners can easily understand and conceptualize. His use of analogies helped me create practical mental models of machine learning concepts. Really looking forward to completing this series and for more content. @Tyler Thank you for all the effort in putting this together!!

    Love it so far!
It’s all in the title. The collection of resources for follow up afterward is especially great.

    Misleading the new folks
It’s not a good idea to tell new folks not to try to understand the underlying algorithms, like random forests and gradient boosting. These are core methodologies which should have been explained better. Talking about unsupervised market basket analysis and PCA together doesn’t really make sense. No explicit mention of data engineering side.

    Thank you Tyler
This podcast is exactly what I was looking for! The exceptional metaphors have helped me digest complex machine learning concepts. I still think about those word pictures when I look at the various methods and models. Thank you Tyler!!!

Best clear explanation of ML I’ve seen
I really appreciate how he explains the concepts using everyday language and then very quickly transitions into industry vocabulary, making ML easy(ish) to understand. Great podcast!

Great resource for Data Science and Machine Learning!
This is an amazing podcast series to complement any other learning on the subject that you may do. Surprisingly comprehensive and solid content. You may still need to get your hands dirty coding but you will have a lay of the land and be at lot less confused when you dive into this topic. Thanks so much!

One of the Best Educational Material on complex subject
My favorite podcast and I can also call educational material I have come across in this world of so much online content. The approach, perspective, pace, explaining complex topic every thing is 5 star. Highly recommended for anyone who want to understand or start Machine Learning Education.

Excellent series - must listen if you are starting in the space of ML / AI!
Excellent series for introduction to ML - thank you put putting together a comprehensive resource for beginner ML engineers ! Also appreciate the perspective you provide on the bigger questions of consciousness and singularity . Forget binge watching I’m binge listening to this during the COVID lockdown :-)

    Machine learning simplified
I appreciate the way such a complex topic of machine learning was explained with just enough details. It felt like a journey that you do not want to end. Also appreciate the roadmap given for becoming ML professional.

    Interesting and informative!
Machine Learning guide does a fantastic job of filling in the gaps of my knowledge in Machine learning. As a working data scientist, I find these podcast both interesting and informative, something that can be a challenge to pull off with such a nuanced and complicated subject.

    Saved me in grad school!!!
I am working on finishing my masters degree in systems engineering. I got assigned a project to study machine learning methods to apply to systems engineering concepts. I don’t know a lot of coding so learning curve is huge. This has been life saving giving me a high level view of machine learning during my commute to work. I have kids and work full time so not a lot of time to study.

One on the best post cast to follow along
This is one of the best podcasts on machine learning. It’s really easy to follow along, it really achieves on what it set out to do . The best part it clearly states the objective on the outset and stick to it .

Excellent Ml audio supplement to MOOC courses
I listen this Podcast along with MOOC (Massive Openinline courses) on Coursera, open.sap. This podcast helped me to Index, retrieve, solidify and present back my understanding to my team colleagues and friends . The way it is presented makes me think, link my understanding of ML from MOOC courses, YouTube videos, books etc. and enjoy the Machine Learning beauty. I definitely suggest this podcast to fill in the gaps and link the concepts while doing any visually presented courses in parallel.

I’ve Heard Enough of Andrew Ng
Be prepared to get sick of hearing “Andrew Ng.” Mood got as well skip this podcast and take Ng’s Coursera course. Good overview and resource material provided. Definitely worth listening to to get exposed to ML. I would rate higher if he didn’t reference Ng so often and regurgitate his course.

    So well done!
I am just blown away! I can’t believe how well it works on as a cast!

    Community college student friendly
As a community college student and cognitive science major, I wanted to learn more about ML but it was really hard to find understandable explanations without the technical and foreign language. English is also my second language, so you can imagine how hard it can be to learn this stuff already. I love love love Tyler’s explanations of every single term because it makes it really easy to retain and remember. More importantly, I find the repetition of definitions over and over amazing, as well as the review at the end of each podcast very useful. I kind of feel that Tyler is playing with my memory drawers and checking if I actually archived the information. Tyler, thank you so much for putting the time, effort, and neurons into such amazing series of podcast.

Just what I was hoping for
I wanted an audio source to listen to in the gym / while driving to complement my machine learning studies, and this hits the spot. I wouldn't recommend it as your primary source of study, but as a good supplement. The audio-only format requires a different means of explaining some concepts, which helped me wrap my head around some of the ML algorithms I hadn't been able to earlier.
  • bkumar987
    Best Podcast on ML
This is the best podcast on ML. You taught me so much by merely listening while driving. Thank you so much for your efforts and you're a wonderful teacher.
  • Jjordanbaird
    A real quality podcast
A great podcast here, introduces you to a lot of important concepts, going as deep as necessary for audio instruction—
  • learningisfun1234
He does not know the building blocks
It’s clear from listening to the podcast that this guy has done nothing but google around the most popular free machine learning courses. He incorrectly explains many core concepts, I had to stop listening
  • 16egong
    Great commuter podcast
Tyler does a great job for explaining things at beginner level and supplying notes and resources on his website. I haven’t finished the podcast, but I’m excited to continue and I appreciate the effort put into this! I would definitely recommend!

    Curiosity satisfied
While watching a NOVA episode “Prediction by the Numbers,” I heard ‘With so-called "black box" machine learning applications like the computer scientist’s: no one, including the computer scientist, knows how it detects skin cancer.... it just does.’ While the statement has some truth, one could be left with the impression that machine learning just happens on its own, without any supporting technology, which is incredulous. Being curious, but willing to dedicate only a small amount of time to study machine learning, I started to listen to this audio podcast while exercising and doing chores. The speaker orally explains these concepts very well. He uses analogies, repetition, summaries, and reviews. I appreciated all of the episodes except for the one on consciousness. Even the later episodes, which were deeper than my curiosity needed to be satisfied, reinforced the earlier concepts, often because of the reviews. My background helped: engineering with its math requirements, although weak in statistics, and with a minimal amount of non-professional programming. Yet I did not have any machine learning exposure. Still, after listening to the podcast, I think that I could explain some of the simpler concepts to someone.
