Best podcast I’ve found so far. I like how she talks about different animals and common animals and I like her voice I think she’s southern like me but not sure . I liked the Halloween episodes I listen during lunch and before sleeping. I learned some of this at school a decade or so ago but some is new and interesting. She’s a great host and does good research.

Some animal podcasts are imperfect in many ways in my opinion, sometimes the overall theme of the podcast. But this one is amazing! I listen to this practically every day and has boosted my knowledge on animals of the world that other podcasts struggled with to me, and nothing is better than having a relatable and often humorously sarcastic host (Kate Shaw in this case). I love this podcast! Kate is so kind and relatable this feels like a bit of a dream job, being able to research animals, and animal mysteries! Ahh yes! Definitely suggest Dragonfish/Dragon Fish as an episode subject!

Kate’s excitement over each of the facts she shares each episode is enough to put a smile on my face. You can tell she does this because she loves to talk about these strange animals- and it makes me want to listen all the more. I love the casualness of the show- it’s exactly what it is: someone eagerly telling me about a new animal they learned about. And the bloopers at the end of each episode make me crack up laughing.

We’re always learning something new. There’s always interesting topics. The topics are well presented with a charming quirky sense of humor, and yet it’s dense with information about the animals without being intimidating. Appeals to my 4 year old, my 7 year old and myself at 34.

Absolutely love learning about different animals each week. Even if I’m familiar with the animal she talking about I always manage to learn something new. Her enthusiasm for the animals shes speaking about is infectious and her light hearted, quirky style only adds to the enjoyment of her show. Thanks for making learning fun while still being educational.
