Warped

No critical lens around spirituality and politics. Feels like sheltered white guys sitting in basements after being on 4chan too much. Uses the guise of Christianity to explain everything without acknowledging the breadth of spirituality, organized religion and everything predating its existence. Blech. What a stomach turning waste of time.

Amazing

Even though I love listening to Wes Germer, I feel that he doesn’t talk about the other paranormal things like ghosts, demons, and the Rake. but Tony certainly does, and he is just as good and I have learned a lot of stuff and it has all made sense. I really like this podcast and Tony Merkel rocks!!

Love Tony & crew. It took quite awhile for me to understand Tony’s mind but now the confessionals and free the rabbits are my go to podcasts. Just a real bunch of dudes doing what God guided them to do. Can’t get much better than that

Not the Deepest

Typically this show is okay. Definitely not one of the top-tier shows out there but he’s trying. I usually don’t have many complaints, or compliments for that matter, but the segment discussing SNL’s Lady GaGa sketch at Friendly’s was just absurd. I understand a review shouldn’t be about one episode but this is a microcosm of the entire show - taking what may be interesting topics and then polluting them with conspiratorial ulterior motives that make absolutely no sense. There are far better shows.

Best Podcast There Is

Hits all the bases: entertaining, intellectually and spiritually enriching, both serious AND funny… This show has made me a more informed and well armored Christian. I can’t say enough good this about it. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I ave listened to all the shows since I started in 2020 I think i really like how Tony doesn’t take over the conversation and has the platform for the guest to speak and Tony always asks the banger questions! Sorry I didn’t write a review sooner! Get some Alaskan content brother! We have all kinds of creatures and paranormal stuff here too! God Bless brother!

Binge Worthy!

Stumbled upon this podcast a few weeks ago and i CANNOT STOP LISTENING!! I love that Tony just lets the guest flow with just the right amount of interjecting and questions. He has a clear dedication to his Christian faith while still remaining very respectful of guests whose faith differs. My new favorite ❤️

Really love the show Tony. Many friends that listen to your podcast appreciate that you’ve grown in your self on air and in your faith. I think it’s great that you explore the extra normal sides of life. The parts most Christians or anyone in general may not consider parts that are in fact our reality also. I love all the aspects that are touched. I’m a believer in Christ who has had a lot of paranormal events throughout my life and it’s nice to hear a lot of these stories. Comforting to know I’m not alone!

I like the show a lot in general. The episodes are either a slam dunk or meh. I wonder whether Tony vets some of the guests that he has on because sometimes the stories sound really out there. I try to listen with an open mind of course. But it would be good to know if that does happen. The intro is also fantastic.

Its cool to have other podcasters, authors, etc. as guests occasionally, but I miss the good old days when the average Joe/Jane called in to shared their crazy and strange experiences. I rarely listen to a whole episode anymore.

Miss the ole days…

I am a long time listener and loved the Confessionals. I’ve purchased all of the documentaries. The direction of the show is changing and I just can’t get behind it. I want so badly to support Tony and the show but it is going overboard with the guest conspiracy theories, weather altering, anti-vax, etc. Just makes me sad.

Great When it Doesn’t Turn Into Christian Sermon

This show used to be amazing but it’s turned into an alt right sideshow. Tony only allows Jesus fanatics on the show and the moral of the story always turns out to be as long as you believe in Jesus the demons will leave you alone. Every episode turns into “spiritual warfare”, everything is demonic, and you better repent and buy their doomsday supplies kit before the demons destroy the world. Tony thinks meditation is satanic, maybe he needs to ground himself and meditate.

I love this show so much- in the past year since I’ve found the Confessionals, I’ve grown in my faith through learning more about how the spiritual world and laws operate. Now almost daily, I’m looking for someone to talk to about Bigfoot, aliens (demons), etc 🤣

I really appreciate the hosts openness, compassion, good listening skills, clear voice which is smooth as hot honey. He seems like a genuinely interested and nice guy. The topics are really unique and cool to learn about. I appreciate his stance on free speech.

Just listened to 698 then went back and listened to 528. Both were amazing. Would love an episode with Glen telling stories about his mother’s father. The story with what he encountered on the top of the stairs is so chilling.

The first several years - fire interviews with normal people. I hate to say it, but the host needs to re-examine himself. It’s become very self-promotional - selling what has been given freely (unbiblical). As someone who loves God and the Bible - teachers are held to a higher standard and Tony needs to tread carefully. Believers are watched by the world, and they should be humble, meek servants - not prideful, loud sells men. It’s changed a lot, I hope he takes some time to reconnect with what the podcast was originally.

Really Weird Wednesdays

Listened to the latest episode about weather modification. Was hoping there would be more fact based information rather then conspiracy claims backed up by “I heard this” or “someone said this” or “I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but…”. Google is free. Narrator says he doesn't listen to mainstream media, it’s obvious. Irresponsible spreading of misinformation.

I do miss the conversations with witnesses and their experiences. Seems to be a lot of authors and people Tony has bumped into throughout his job, which is fine. I just miss people’s stories. I gotta unsubscribe. The weird Wednesdays are just too much and never enough.
