Dinosaur Park: The 1986 Tabletop RPG

126

In the spring of 2016 we unearthed the long forgotten 1986 Tabletop RPG that is Dinosaur Park and decided to have a quick game. This is the result.

In the following months we were able to track down the rare and much beloved sequel, Dinosaur World: The Post-Apocalyptic RPG for Ages 10 and up and once again, have a quick game.

Finally, it wasn't until late 2017 that we were able to seek out Dinosaur Universe: The 2001 Space Simulator and once more again have a quick game.

DND is for nerds minus the stability
Imagine dnd is for nerds is a bicycle with training wheels. Dinosaur park is a motorcycle rigged to explode if you go to slow. Just sit back and watch the chaos unfold.

    100,000,000,000,000,00 ⭐️
“Jackson, why are there Argentinian children in the vehicle?” I love Dinosaur Park and am enjoying Dinosaur World so far. Can’t wait till I get to Dinosaur Universe. All Vaughn’s must Daryl. - Side note: I’d love to see you guys do another tabletop series like this, doesn’t have to be dino related at all.

The Greatest Currently Existing on the Internet
I don’t think that I have ever listened to anything that I like more than this. The entire Dinosaur Saga by Sanspants Radio might be the greatest thing man has ever achieved since the creation of the internet. I cannot stress enough how good this series is and wish I could rate it higher than the five stars allowed. Two ape and two human thumbs up!

    Dinosaur World is amazing!
Jackson is a lovely breath of fresh air when it comes to storytelling and the dinosaur world adventure is not something you want to pass by on!

Do Not Listen to this at Work!
I made this mistake and was laughing so hard at work I was in tears and couldn't get anything done. The whole cast is so funny and the scenarios are even better. I will definitely be listening to this entire campaign again!

The Best Podcast I have ever listened to
This is the BEST podcast I have ever listened to. I force everyone that rides in my car to listen to it until they become addicted. Worth the money to own and the sequel is also available. It even inspired me to design my first oneshot as a DM, so wish my players luck for they will surely need it.

    Can't... breathe!
Laughing is compulsory and unavoidable for at least 2/3 of each episode.

This is hands down the funniest thing I have ever listened to. I've dragged my friends and family into it, I'm quoting it, I don't want it to end. Quality to the extreme.

"Over the course of this game, you have 10 Argentinan children. When all of them are gone, you die."
^^^ Pretty much that - it's basically like a certain unnamed movie franchise, if the characters in that franchise had used said children as, uh, expendable buffers against various dangers over the course of the story. It's silly and entertaining, as any good dinosaur property should be, and hopefully (like the aforementioned franchise) it will be followed by various sequels of wildly varying quality.

    Doors Open
Love the plumbing boys, and their reckless use of genetic tampering.
