Bring back shorter episodes!!

I love listening to Lindsey and Bobby and have since the very beginning, when the episodes were typically delicious 35-45 minute morsels of fun. Now the eps can be up to an hour and a half — plus “wow twice a week”!! This review is my official plea to make the episodes shorter again. Way more digestible! Also, it’s importable to listen at 1.5x bc Bobby talks so fast lol. Just my plebeian thoughts tho, love you guys!

Wow, thrice a week

I started listening in early 2020 as a way to turn my brain off and let meaningless gossip wash over my brain. Five years later I am a patreon member following along with every twist and turn of C-list celebrities grasping attempts at fame. My boyfriend works with kids & teens and I cannot emphasize enough how many times he's texted me "who is [blank] the kids are talking about" and thanks to Bobby, Lindsay and Timmy, I have an answer. Crunch crunch.

I used to be a huge fan of the show—now, Lindsey’s condescending attitude towards Bobby, complete disdain towards every topic they discuss, and tendency to end almost every sentence with “you know” is unbearable. If you’re going to judge others from a pedestal, make sure the pedestal itself isn’t just an abstract delusion of your own intelligence and importance.

One of the greatest tragedies of my life is that back in 2017 I accidentally called a random woman from San Diego when trying to call the Who Weekly hotline, and ever since have been too scared to call again. It’s especially tragic because I live in a resort town and cross paths with a a fair amount of Who’s in the wild. Anyway, sorry it took me this long to write a review!

Vibes are off

Long time listener. I’ve noticed over the years that the quality of the podcast suffers when they go on tour. Lindsey seems disinterested in what Bobby has to say and generally over a lot of topics they cover. Bobby tends to ramble on like he’s trying to figure out a way to get Lindsey to engage in good banter. Maybe putting together the live show, doing two shows a week and the Patreon content is too much? I’d rather less episodes if the quality of the show went back up.

As a Gen Xer I need to keep up with what all the kids are talking about and thankfully I have WhoWeekly for that. Lindsay and Bobby (and Timmy) have been my go-to for years and years on everyone I didn’t know I needed to care about. Can I name one Rita Ora song? Absolutely not.
