Bad Boy Running

Running #137

The amazing world of running you didn't know existed, from a marathon club in San Quentin State Penitentiary to racing 350 miles, unaided with only 8% vision, to setting up a girl's running club in Afghanistan, reprobates David Hellard & Jody Raynsford bring you the world's most interesting running stories, its most incredible runners, presented by some of its worst. A funny, light-hearted look at running that's not afraid to laugh at itself and at you.

    Awesome podcast!
I love this podcast because they don’t take running so seriously and have allowed me to learn so much as a beginner runner!

My commute is now a hoot!
Just discovered this gem after searching for a podcast on 80/20 running with Matt Fitzgerald. I found what I was looking for and more! I just finished the episode with Christopher McDougall (donkeys & naughty trainers 😂) and I’ve reached official fan girl status. Love the questions, love the banter, love the lingo, love the accents;) - A happy listener from Monterey, California!

    Go to podcast!
One of a literal handful of go to podcasts. Hysterical podcast not taking running (or anything) too seriously!

    So good !
When I need cheering up after a long day, I always love to listen to BBoys. The reggae is a bonus. Keep up the good humour and bring back Ali and more ladies to contribute to the show !

    The perfect run buddy
Been 6000 miles away from home this lighthearted podcast filled with good old British humor is the perfect running companion. With a good selection of guests that are asked the questions you actually want to know the answer to and topics engaging enough to keep you coming back for more #FYB

    Y’all make me laugh
As a back of the pack runner with my share of DFLs and DNFs, I find this podcast relatable. Love the British sense of humor!

Second place is the first loser
Second best running podcast to come out of a Glastonbury. Sound quality was great the entire time, fail. Only had me laughing most of the time, fail (running is serious business). Not a single monkey howl (obviously fail). Clearly you brits are not familiar with three strikes and you’re out. This is why we threw your tea in the harbor... All jokes aside, solid listen. Keep up the good work boys.

    Pretty much total crap
As I said, pretty much utter crapola. Didn’t even laugh once.

    Awesome
These guys are so entertaining, even when they aren’t talking about running! Sound quality isn’t as bad as they seem to think.

    Incredible podcast
I love all the podcasts. The Lazarus Lake, the podcast with Allie on the rat race through Namibia and panama, and all of other podcasts were just out of this world. Keep up the great work!

    So Fun!!
Finally, a running podcast that doesn’t take itself too seriously! Great info and really cool guest interviews delivered with humor. The Laz Lake interview is the best podcast I have ever listened too! If you love running, and like your humor a little on the irreverent side, this is the podcast for you. FYB!

    Fools of a feather
This lot put most podcasts to shame if one is not actually searching for proper advice on training, or race tactics. If instead one is looking to laugh at oneself (or others) this is, well it’s still rather a dodgy choice. But laugh you *might*.

    It astonishing....
It’s astonishing how little this podcast talks about anything helpful in running. If you enjoy beer, ankle injuries and complaints about running. Then you have found the holy grail of podcasts!! David and Jodi will literally ramble on about nothing for 20 minutes before telling you all the excuses they have for not running. Sometime David will accidentally throw a running tip in the mix. But it’s as rare as Jodi actually running throughout the week. I love you guys. Keep it up! And FYB.

    I dig it
These guys are so funny and lively, it helps to listen to this on my long runs, it's the Wayne's World of running talk lol

    DNF... writing this review
I've peed my pants on more runs listening to this podcast than probably all of the other times I've peed my pants as an adult.

    Great chemistry
I listened to these guys for a few miles on a walk with my dogs and could immediately tell they have been friends for some time. I like how they trade stories of being on trail and mention the hash house harriers, a refreshing change to repetitive run technique conversation. Really looking forward to what these two have in store
