So basically two of the girls LOVE murder mystery and that is literally same for me and I knew both books they said in one of the podcast(a good girls guid to murder and a series of unfortunate events) I love both of those books and definitely never read them but one of my friends read them and said they were good and I believed her because I LOVE murder mystery and that it is so relatable! but the reason why I rated it 4 stars is because it isn’t as interesting when it isn’t relatable and I only started listening to it when I heard the two girls say that they liked those two books.

I’m already liking this one just by looking at the comments! I have to look for Rick Riordan’s myths. Their just my favorite books!

I thought this was supposed to be a book club for kids, and there was a bad word in it I do not like this.

I always turn this one when I sleep. It’s so calming and relaxing when I soon drift off. I have trouble going to bed, so while I eat my melitionin and turn this radio on, it has helped me significantly. Thank you

This podcast is SO EXTRAORDINARY every night wen I go to bed I turn this podcast on and get tucked in and drift off to sleep 💤 but this podcast is not only good for going to sleep you can be doing something or you could binge it on a road trip or a long time you need to pass it’s great for people who like to read and I have one request for a book can you please please do the book shug please it is so good

It would be awesome if you could put in books like the Hunger Games, Divergent, etc. At least for me, those are the books I read. I’m 10. I do like your shows. The script is very good and it nice that other kids talk about the book.

I mean, it can be calming. But,overall,I think that this is just not my style of calm..

I listen to this podcast and it's ok. I don't like the selection of books because even though I'm only 12 I'm a very advanced reader. This podcast has no books I know, and it's really fun to listen to podcasts about books you like. Although the episodes about books I don't know can be fun too, because since I'm a fast reader it's really hard to find a book I'll like. But this podcast spoils the book! I really wish there was a book club podcast for kids, with books on it that are new, but also some classics, such as Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. Maybe I should start a podcast when I'm older! All in all, I do listen to this podcast because it's the best kids book club podcast I can find, but I really don't love it

This is a great way to Show kids that it is fun to read in the little rewarding when you have other kids reading with you and it’s a good book and you can talk about it when you have nothing to do and it shows the positivity of how kids can read and how far it I’ll take them because reading is awesome Ps I did this on Tuesday it was super fun!!!!!!!

We love to listen to these as a family. It gives us great ideas for books we want to read together and extends the books we live into great discussions.

My fifth grade daughter and I wanted to find a podcast that we could both enjoy, and thankfully we just discovered Book Club For Kids. We spend a great deal of time in Silicon Valley traffic and wanted to find something to pass the time. Book Club for Kids is wonderful! Kitty Felde is an excellent moderator of conversation among children about middle grade books. I was pleasantly surprised that she includes interviews with the authors, and also fun, adult guests talking about their own favorite books. Frankly, I find many podcasts that are made for kids a little annoying due to the zany voices and sound effects. But not this one! This intelligent show fully captures my daughter's attention, and also keeps me completely engaged. After our first listen, my daughter re-read a book ("Wonder") that had been discussed on the show. Awesome!

My daughters and I love this podcast. In each episode, award-winning public radio journalist and playwright Kitty Felde hosts a small group of elementary or middle school kids as they discuss a middle grade book that they've read. There is so much magic here: the kids are always bright and thoughtful; Kitty Felde interviews them without an ounce of condescension. Her direct, engaging style draws real answers from the kids and the discussion often goes far beyond the content of the novels. As they discuss themes, the kids end up revealing personal opinions that offer a glimpse into the inner lives of kids and provide a good jumping-off point for conversation. The celebrity readers have been excellent and the author interviews are wonderful - they really give you a sense of who the author is and why they write for kids. And, not that it's the main thing here, but... Book Club for Kids is the perfect "in the car with kids" podcast. Age-appropriate without being too childish for middle grade readers, the episode length is the exact time that it seems to take us to get anywhere and back back home again. Okay, I admit, that might be specific to our family, but it seems like everything I do with the kids is around 14 minutes away.

Before we discovered this podcast, our car rides to and from school were either chaotic or silent. Nowadays, it’s a fun and educational drive! Kitty is a delight to listen to :) We give this podcast our highest recommendation.
