    Amazing!
I love listening to to this podcast!

I’ve been an active listener for three years now, and i finally cashed in on moretex this month. I was impressed by the membership experience and how relatively easy it was to cancel my membership as well. Ps. Themes are the best! I use my theme journal for weekly planning, and try to plan around themes while incorporating my religious life and leadership ideas.

    Very Enjoyable
As someone who got into this through Grey’s channel, this feels like CGP Grey but it’s two people talking instead of one, which is interesting to listen to. It’s good overall. And Grey, we need laws to get all air conditioners to be better with Temperature Management.

    Could use more background
Like all relay.fm podcasts, this is supposedly a tech discussion podcast but is actually a parasocial podcast with two dads retelling everything that happened to them that day. This one has a guy named CGP Grey and strangely i have not once figured out who he is from listening to the podcast because they never seem to mention any context when they talk about anything. (As an example, they spent at least a whole episode talking about something called a psychic notebook which maybe is show merch? But I can't tell?) It turns out CGP Grey is one of those smartypants science YouTubers who people are mad at because he has bad aesthetic opinions about flag designs.

Look forward to this podcast so much
I love this show. I love hearing their perspectives and I love Grey's complaints. They give me life.

Fun and helpful deep conversation about work and life
I have found Myke and Grey’s conversations about work and life to be very enlightening to reflecting on my own work processes. Whether it’s about how to set up your workspace, time tracking, keeping good boundaries between types of work and entertainment, or how to know when you need to buy a Cortility Bag™ the conversation is fun and helpful. The hosts’ friendship is evident and I’m so glad the show has gone on so much longer than Grey expected at the outset.

    More Pretend Problems
Came back to this after an extended break. Still the same tired format - made-up problems, self-aggrandizing, inconsequential analysis, and ads. So many ads. Sad this went so downhill.

    Grey is funny
I love when he either goes on a tangent, or turns into angry grey. An-Grey!(that’s a good one) Mike is also really funny and this podcast is a nice safe and clean choice!

    My opinion on other reviews
I’m just gonna say that I have never listened to hello internet. So getting into my point I have found that looking through a lot of the reviews with a message attached usually look something like this: “I came from HI thinking that this would be a good replacement but it wasn’t”. I assume there people are correct but my counterpoint is that this isn’t hello internet. If you wanted to listen to hello internet cortex really isn’t the thing to listen to because if this was identical to hello internet there would be no need for a separate podcast. I get that you enjoyed another podcast but you can’t compare two podcasts that aren’t meant to be the same. That is just my two cents in this podcast and the reviews on it
  • DCKID357
The two guys talking genre lives on
One of the podcasts that I live the most. It’s by smart people talking in a light hearted, jovial sense that I love
  • TuzoAnime
    Dull
Love the time tracking bit, just boring. Great background noise, that is about it. My yearly theme is to trim the fat of my audio consumption. 183 podcasts. I do feel bad, but it's a goodybe.
  • gayboy 111
IMO not as good as hi but still good
In my opinion cortex is not as good as hello internet because grey and myke are not as different of people as Brady and grey. But it is an ok substitute while waiting for hi to come back hopefully probably not though

    Some Magic the Gathering notes
Edit: I just found out that grey mentioned note 2 within the episode 1: MIT found that magic the gathering was the MOST COMPLEX physical game 2: within the rules of the game, you can set up cards that work as a computer (Turing machine) meaning magic is Turing complete

    89% ads, 10% boring banter, 1% laughs
If you are a fan of CGPgrey this is not like anything you know of his YouTube content. This is almost exclusively about stuff to buy - similar to Unbox Therapy but about productivity tools.

The longest ad I’ve ever heard
It’s an ad. A very very long ad, that also sells ad space within it. So there are ads interrupting your ad experience.

    Has become an infomercial
Loved hello internet, so I started listening to this one. Sadly it seems like they’re most interested in selling their journals and other merchandise. Just not for me. Good production value.

    Grate but not for all
As a fan of CGP Greys work I find it interesting to listen to how he works and how he sees the world. It is also a good show for those wanting to be more productive, but there help will only work for a few I find my self not always using there advice but I still find it interesting to hear. And you will also find them talking about there lives as Internet creators, witch is definitely not for all but if you look at them talking about the Internet lives more as a documentary or interview then it is more fun. I think mike is a grate CoHost and brings a lot to the table. They have a different dynamic then Grey and Brady (from hello Internet) it is worse in some was but better in many other ways. All in all a grate show but not for all

    Very Dull
I usually listen to Hello Internet when going on long business trips. I tried substituting this with Cortex. While the beginning of the show starts off well, it gets very boring and repetitive. Most of the latest episodes is the moaning, groaning, and bragging of their daily life. I’m sorry, it is just unbearable to try to stay awake while driving when they are literally talking about painting rooms or the design of some app. I just want to have a couple laughs and enjoy a good pod on my way across the country.
  • Spartanite 67
    Just good enough
About 60% of every episode is interesting, 25% is a bit dry but bearable, and 15% is unlistenable dull. BUT the chapters feature makes it very easy to skip around and find that ideal 60%

    :(
came here during the hello internet hiatus. not a suitable replacement. these two do not play off of each other nearly as well.
  • Odd time
    Was alright
Now just meh. Seems low effort. I get difficulties, but content has dipped below my expectations.

    Lovely!
A narcissistic arsehole and a sycophantic leech self-obsess over the minutiae of their elitist internet careers! Fun for the whole family!

    Wonderful Show
The chemistry between Myke and Grey makes me smile a lot. I often think of Myke as the real representation of ‘the people’ when he is reacting to Grey’s glorious eccentricities. Though some would argue that Myke is more agreeing with Grey than Brady is, I think this is actually a quite normal balance that most friendships have. (Brady is just adorably hard-as-nails) P.S. Myke, I got the Pilot fountain pen as you requested. It was magnificent!

Great Podcast about Life and Work
Myke and CGP Grey are amazing to listen to and engage in insightful conversation that make me think about my own workflows, productivity, and life organization. It is truly a joy listening to their podcast and would highly recommend.
  • Sqicky
    Has become all ads now
There used to be some content in this podcast but now it has become nearly exclusively: asking for our money. The first 30 minutes are usually: them trying to sell their merch, followed by ads, followed by asking money for their charity followed by more ads. Then finally you get 15 minutes of actual content around the end.

    Fun, Efficiency, Techy
Makes listening to a podcast on efficiency super fun, and just enough tech talk without being all-tech boring
  • MeggieK
    This podcast changed my workflow
Cortex really helped me think about being more efficient, now I sometime get out of bed to do something, normally that something ends up being listening to cortex, but something none the less. But in all seriousness this is great.
