Required listening for those interested in developments re: Covid
Reliable, reputable, and often fascinating. Like everything else from Economist radio, it’s full of important information in a friendly format.

    Best version of the truth
A unbiased fact based news source for anything COVID 19. Enjoy the slightly playful flavour too.

    New Perspectives
This is one of the few podcasts I actually learn something from each time I listen. It’s good to hear what is happening in the EU and UK.

    Old news
Mostly rehashing old news, especially - if one regularly seeks news from various sources. A lot of opinion, very little “science”. And adding a pitch to subscribe to E cheapened the seriousness of the message. Surely you can mount an aggressive drive for new subscribers without interjecting crass commerce into the middle of a very serious subject. I am a subscriber, you can do better. Israel, few people, quick vaccine, who would have guessed. How about other small wealthy countries, have they done as well. If so, the main takeaway is to have few people. Such a comparison of similar countries would be news and science and truly identify if Israel is a true model, maybe so, maybe not, we just don’t know with current reporting.

From a skeptic with a graduate degree
Hello, I find this narrative that skeptics are only uneducated, republican, or black. I am 30 years old, a women of color, I hold a bachelors degree in Economics, and an MBA. I make well over $50,000, I am VERY liberal. I would consider myself more of a socialist. I believe in science and medicine. However, I am not jumping to get this vaccine. Especially when you look at the data. Are any of surprised that women are mostly effected? I am skeptical of women being protected. I have not contracted covid19, I work from home. I am very healthy. Aren’t are bodies built to fight this off? I also don’t get the flu vaccine each year, and don’t get the flu. I understand vaccines help with herd immunity and protecting our elders. But who is protecting me? Who is looking out for the women that already face so many other safety challenges in this mans world?

March 22 Was Straight from the Desk of Boris Johnson
A show that purports to be about science has devolved into a Brexit-fueled, lie-packed assault on the EU. If you need any proof of thing, give the first half of the March 22nd episode a listen. This section could have come straight from the producers of Fox News. And it effectively mirrored Boris Johnson’s assertion in the same week that it is the “greed” of the UK that is saving it from the pandemic. Absolutely disgusting and shameful.

Just out of the gate - and already the best
As a physician specializing in infectious diseases for 45 years, I commend this new podcast to anyone wanting to learn about SARS-CoV2 immunization. Each presentation is scientifically accurate but perhaps more importantly grounded in economic and contextual realities. And of course there is the joy that that one expects from hearing good Economist writing. Give a listen! Mark S Drapkin MD Brookline MA
