Esther invites guests to open up as she cooks their favorite Korean dishes, drawing on traditional family recipes she’s refined at her restaurants Mŏkbar and Ms. Yoo. Representation Matters
Thank you to Esther Choi for putting together this podcast. It feels like a conversation with friends and of course she caps off the interview with her preparation of her guest’s favorite Korean food. As a fellow Kore-Am woman, major props to Esther continuing to grind away as a chef & restauranteur and giving a voice to fellow Koreans to be seen and heard.

Great insight to a Korean American’s life
Although Esther Choi is well known for her appearances in the food media and for her delicious restaurant Mokbar, she gives a very insightful tour of what it is like to be a Korean American (could relate to any immigrant American) from different angles, not just food. From skin care to the music industry, you get the real low down. Very relatable and fun to listen to. Awesome Esther!

Love American Korean Culture and Food
Excited for this podcast. My daughter forces me to listen to Kpop, but I really like it. But, I absolutely Love Korean food and wish I could go to Atlanta more often which has the biggest Korean population near me with some of the best restaurants! Looking forward to more upcoming episodes

A Podcast About Much More Than Food
This podcast explores culture through cuisine in a way that reminds me of the best of Anthony Bourdain. Each episode the host, Esther Choi, takes on a pretty intimidating task — cooking her guest’s favorite Korean dishes. This can seem like a tall order, as people will naturally have high expectations when it comes to their favorite food. Choi handles it with grace and aplomb. As someone who’s been cooking at home more and more often, I particularly enjoyed the audio recipe episode on Kimchi jigae. Subscribed and looking forward to more!
