    Free Jarvis
Came here after reading Jarvis’ book “that bird has my wings”. I pray for Justice for Jarvis daily and hope we can see this wrong made right soon. My only negative - waaayyyy too many ads. So repetitive. If I didn’t care for Jarvis’ story, I wouldn’t have continued bc of them alone.

    I recommend reading finding freedom.

    Come together for OUR PEOPLE
This is an outstanding podcast but more importantly a chance for all of us to come together and help! May God bless & the wrongs made right! PRAYING FOR JARVIS!!! TELL US WHAT ELSE WE CAN DO NOW!

    A must-listen, I can’t recommend enough!
Jarvis Jay Masters has a harrowing and incredibly tragic story (that does not begin when he lands on death row for a crime he didn’t commit), but the way he rises above the incredibly unjust circumstances he faced — to teach love and compassion and to counsel both inmates and guards (not to mention actually stopping prison fights and attacks on guards!!) is inspiring in a way I truly cannot put into words. To hear these conversations with Jarvis — along with the words of many legal scholars/attorneys, activists, and the Buddhist community who is helping him to be exonerated after he has been incarcerated for more than 30 YEARS — is incredibly informative and moving and important. I cannot recommend this one enough; they did an amazing job and I practically listened to the entire thing one sitting!!

    Dedication and frustration
A riveting podcast, and once again we discover it’s almost impossible for the wrongly incarcerated to get themselves heard and the new evidence presented to get themselves out of prison. The pro bono lawyers researching these cases,in which each case takes years to work, are to be commended for their dedication. They are doing this in addition to their own work load.

    Very disappointed
I wanted to hear his story, NOT continuous TRUMP hating. UNSUBSCRIBED.......
  • p1a2l
I could only get through the first 10 min.
OMG....This is a terrible podcast. I couldn’t listen to this ladies voice another second. If it was a drinking game every time she said “death penalty” I would be passed out in about 5 min. And I’m a heavy drinker.

    those poor serial killers
what a sickening attempt to abolish the death penalty. have innocent people been executed? YES! are there innocent people on death row? YES! because black people are over represented on death row does that make them innocent?NO the overwhelming majority are completely guilty and guilty of the most heinous crimes imaginable. now those pieces of trash get to move to general population and enjoy many new privs. when they should be dead! california, ur state is a cesspool of filth. the rich liberal residents of the state egg on the destruction of lives while they live with armed security and never know the feeling of goin without ur getting what u deserve liberal cali

    Dear Governor
Great promo, and then no substance. Purely a political anti-death penalty promotion.

    Can’t get through it
I gave up halfway through episode 4. I don’t know anything about this case, but I can’t figure out the point of the podcast because of how it is playing out. The narrator says she isn’t asking us to believe him or not, but it has now become a deep-dive into his life history. It’s gotten very repetitive and the recordings of Jarvis speaking are painful to my ears (not sure if it’s the quality or his voice or what), but it got too hard to listen to. And by episode 4, I want to be more invested rather than confused.

insightful, entertaining, and a quick listen
first of all — what a pleasant voice. i would listen to corny koehl recite the dictionary, she is so expressive. second — given how many crime podcasts out there, i deeply appreciate a podcast that is concise and intelligent. no corny (ha) back and forth between hosts, only the facts in the context of the current political climate. highly recommend.

    100% biased
Wow! Do they really think we are that stupid?

    Voice
I can’t take the narrators voice or the libby obsession.

    Don’t listen unless you’re a lefty
I was very interested in hearing this story until I listened to the first episode. Rather than just telling the story from an unbiased point of view, politics is injected from the get go. It immediately starts out by basically telling you to vote for Joe Biden without coming right out and saying it and goes on to feature an SJW group. I don’t know why you would want to alienate half of your potential listeners, other than the fact that this is produced in the bubble of California politics. Unless you are a leftist democrat, you won’t be able to stomach the praising of Gavin Newsom and the obvious bias against Trump and the republicans.

Jarvis sounds like such a good guy! How was he able to accomplish so much behind bars for 40 years! Desmond TuTu? Pena Chodron? Two published books! He’s an inspiration! I wish more episodes were available NOW! Keep up the good work!

Jarvis speaking from Death Row San Quentin...wow
Captivating story of such an injustice and equally unbelievable the spirt and optimism of a man actually sitting on death row. Heartbreaking ~ yet extremely captivating! Can't wait to follow the story of Jarvis and hopefully hearing the celebration podcast when he is finally released.

Justice, Grace and Humor in One Show
Brilliantly produced, thoughtful and so timely. The story feels so personal as narrated by the host who is sharing her journey in understanding how the circumstances in Jarvis Masters life led him to San Quentin. An enthralling story from the first episode. Can’t wait to hear the rest!

    Jarvis in his own words!
How has this prolific author an philosopher managed to maintain such a joyful spirit, having been on death row for 30 years! He has great wisdom we can all learn from during these days of lockdown and turmoil.

    Possibilities of A hopeful ending
After listening to the trailer, I felt a natural curiosity about this person and if he would be able to maneuver through the legal system to a final justice. I look forward to hearing the episodes and am hopeful that justice will be served in his favor.

    The verdict is ours
As a member of the judiciary, I have been following Jarvis’ journey thru his writings and in association with Corny Koehl. This trailer alerts all of Jarvis’ supporters as well as anyone who questions capital punishment to tune into Corny’s podcast next week to become more acquainted with Jarvis up close and personal. His story is tragic and his innocence is being held hostage by those who would affirm capital punishment. Not only is his innocence in jeopardy but also capital punishment will be on trial.

    What an inspiration!
As a fan of Jarvis’s books, I’ve been waiting for this. The host, Corny Koehl, is an Emmy-winning producer (Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday), and this has been her labor of love, resulting in a deep friendship with Jarvis—it’s evident as you listen. Inspiring, moving, thought-provoking. Thank you, Corny and Jarvis for opening our eyes.
