Long time listener, was obviously bummed about Jay leaving. I was encouraged by the start of the season, but I kind of feel like the podcast has become something for you guys to ramble on as opposed to a service for the fans… Really could do without the talk about aliens for 20 minutes of every Mo segment.

Let me start by saying Dehner is awesome and doing the best he can. But he and Jay as a combo is what made this podcast. The gentleman who replaced him….just isn’t it. BRING JAY BACK! Not only for the podcast but for his articles too. Jays got stats! And podcasts apparently.

The best part of The Athletic’s Bengals coverage was Paul AND Jay. It was a pleasure observing their friendship develop while they covered the team. I’m glad I got the chance to appreciate it. Unfortunately for Paul he’s having to try too hard to reinvent what was already a perfect podcast.

No jay. No listen. Period.

Great run gents but not giving it eyeballs or subs to athletic without Jay

I got an ARBIES for ya… F the New York Times! The reason people subscribe to The Athletic is for in depth beat reporting on sports unavailable anywhere else (online anyway). Firing local reporters will absolutely ruin The Athletic. They should have just raised the subscription cost… it is after all, a premium service. I cancelled my subscription immediately after I read about the layoffs. Hope you keep the podcast rolling Dehner, you guys are the best around.

Must listen for bengals fans. The depth and detail that Paul and Jay provide every ep is top tier. Even bengals fans who bleed orange will learn something new about football and bengals.

Love hearing the guys talk Bengals, but I wish Paul would give the show a listen so he could hear how his volume levels change. This isn’t an issue for Jay. Many times Paul is whispering and you can’t hear what he is saying. Please fix so we can hear your comments Paul!

If your a Bengals fan and you need a good chuckle then this podcast is for you. Full of Seinfeld-esc humor that will never disappoint from Paul and sad but true stats from Jay. I love this podcast

This podcast breaks through the cliched Bungles narratives to deliver the real, unadulterated truth about what’s going on with the Bengals organization. It’s not for the faint of heart — this podcast definitely won’t make you feel better about being a fan of a bad team — but if you’re already in for the the torture of being a Bengals fan, Dehner and Jay are doing the best Bengals beat reporting you will find anywhere. Their podcast is a must-listen.

Shilling for the Bengals front office. It’s patently obvious this coaching staff is incompetent and scapegoating good players to distract from their lack of ability. “Call a spade a spade.” Give me a break.

I have listened to Paul for multiple years and joined the athletic because of his move there. Since his move I have enjoyed Jay’s writing on the athletic just as much. The best info out there.

These guys do great job of being creative and filling us in on all the facts and opinions we need as Bengals fans. It’s enlightening and entertaining. The quality of the audio is tough. I love listening to the podcast information, but I find myself having to ride the volume knob the whole time. It seems like they’re either whispering in a corner of the room or screaming into the microphone. Hopefully this gets fixed and then it will be my favorite podcast and easy to recommend.

Paul and Jay do a great job of being neutral journalists while also being fans. Really enjoy the perspective they bring.

Iv been a fan since Palmer was drafted but a die hard fine since the 2012 draft specifically. Football became 365 for me then. I discovered the BBP not long after and wether we won or lost I couldn’t wait for Wednesday morning and eventually Friday morning as well. Highlight of the week for me. When Jim left I was extremely sad but he got his dream job so I was happy for him. Fletcher was OK but I still felt a little empty. It didn’t help that our arrow was trending down. When Paul announced he was leaving it was heartbreaking. I had no idea that you had another podcast available. I stumbled upon it today and I’m SUPER hype to give it a listen. You all were always so informative and wouldn’t sugar coat anything while also being supportive of the team. Today is a GREAT DAY

After suffering through the Bengals Beat Podcast lately I finally found this jewel. Paul gets it. Paul doesn’t take himself too serious. Paul isn’t worried about pleasing everyone. His insight is informative, therapeutic, and enjoyable at the same time. It’s what every Bengals fan needs. Same as when he was on The Bengals Beat Podcast. Once he left BPP it’s gone straight down hill. Lindsay used to be a good Cincinnati kid story. Now she acts like she’s some kind of GOAT who is more worried about her image on social media than her actual “sports reporting” which I’m still not sure how she’s considered part of the media. Tyler is decent but needs to loosen up. Basically if you were a fan of BBP when Jim and Paul were dominating then this is the podcast to replace it. Keep up the good work Paul!

Paul is the best for Bengals reporting and this is by far the best Bengals podcast! If you put up with the misery of this pathetic franchise, be sure to listen and follow this podcast!

This is just as bad as when he was with the enquirer. Optimistic Bobby parts are cringey. You have to fast forward through the first five minutes and stop with twenty to go.

BBP is awful now. That guy and that chick are terrible. Locked on Bengals is just as bad. Paul does a good job!

The sole reason I subscribe to the Athletic. The podcasts are worth the price.

Seriously missed hearing these voices talk Bengals every week. The BBP was never the same once they departed. Subscribed over on the athletic and it’s totally worth it for the 2 extra episodes a week, along with a ton of articles about the team. That last bit is particularly nice in a national landscape where the Bengals are largely ignored.

I transitioned from BBP and Paul picked up right where he left. He is seriously talented at driving a podcast. Only Bengals podcast I would listen to.
