I only just stumbled across the Iconography podcast because I love Ayo’s work in The Bear. Today I listed for the first time, starting at the first podcast. I am so much older than Ayo and Olivia and honestly didn’t get a number of references because of the age gap thing (which is me being out of touch with a much younger culture) but that is so insignificant to the sheer joy I had over how much they made me laugh. I was just giggling about one thing or another throughout the first two episodes. That discussion about seeing Hugh Jackman’s show is gold. Omg! That is one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a long time. It reminds me of a bit Kathy Griffin had about him in one of her specials (back before she got canceled). Your breakdown of the actual show and Ayo’s need to see the show is hilarious. Oh, and the bit about Jeremy Renner stock. Lols! I am so happy to have found your podcast. So looking forward to working through the archive. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the witty observations that make me laugh out loud. #1 fangirl here.

I just discovered this podcast after hearing Ayo on an episode of Make My Day and I’m absolutely infatuated! Ayo and Olivia are truly two of the funniest people I’ve ever heard. Why they both don’t have their own specials is beyond me. I adore them both and I’m pleading that they come back to make more episodes of iconography!

I’m a pretty new fan of Ayo’s (well I mean I guess I did watch Sunnyside when it was on) so when I heard she had a podcast I thought, ‘well, let’s see’ but gosh when I found this it was it was hawt! You 2 have interesting yet different comedic takes, I like your voices and emotion, and the way you talk about celebs is one of one. Olivia is surprisingly the tougher edge sometimes and it brings something. While my girl is very silly and fun. I really hope there’s a season 3 cause you guys are too awesome to be shut down by the demme (got that from Ayo’s Twitter). Hope it comes back you 2 are great!

5 stars only! i love them so much, w ppl also born in like 1994 - they are my absolute chums. God i love pasta too, ayo is so cute and olivia has a gorgeous voice n they’re both so smart. Wait - ayo can sing too i thought they were just a skateboard dog, please discuss. Additionally, i hope u all are comin back even tho it seems like ur v busy so i understand if u don’t. But ayo can u watch and talk abt Wayne which is a pretty short series now on prime, wish there were more POC in the main roles but i rlly enjoy it. Have i been tricked by the skinny white boy on tv industrial complex again? Also, olivia as someone who likes to do the accent u might enjoy, literally a show abt like Massachusetts and trying to get a car. So they rlly have to... park the car........

I love this pod! Ayo and Olivia are so real and knowledgeable about celebs I don’t even know who are. When they do mention current celeb events i am caught up on, I often hear my own thoughts come out of their mouths. Iconography is truly a bright spot in my week.

This show is iconic. No one makes me laugh harder than Ayo and Olivia. The podcast also provides a lot of thought provoking insights! Comedic legends!

Many thanks to Ayo for reminding me about the iconic Up, Up and Away movie starring Robert Townsend that I immediately watched after listening to the episode. This podcast is one of the best parts of my week and Ayo & Olivia are two media geniuses!!!!

amazing stuff every single week except for that one time where they stopped for six months to remind listeners to not take them for granted. sorry! the only thing is i wish they did friday episodes again or did the friday format every other week instead of the regular wednesday episode, but i’m sure they have their reasons for cycling it out so. great stuff

We don’t deserve Iconography. Despite the Upside Down we currently find ourselves in, somehow we’ve lucked up on getting to hear actual geniuses give their singular, hilarious takes on film, pop culture, celebrity, and race. I love their dynamic, Olivia Craighead’s straight man to Ayo Edebiri’s eccentrics. I could listen to them talk all day and, in fact, happily listened to the same episodes multiple times during The Hiatus. They masterfully pull you into a world where anything can happen: stars are bought, sold, and held in a human stock market; “Yasss Queen” a podcast where women are believed exists; aspects of celebrity lives are debated in the most satisfying games of Ef, Mary, Kill; “Angela Davis” pops in to Zoom chat; and Oscar vehicles are dreamt up in real time for Hollyood’s oft overlooked stars. Regina Hall in a Training Day-esque cop drama? Yes, plz!! This is what happens when comedic masterminds join forces. Will they endure? Abso-lutely! Long live Iconography!

The question that most occupies my mind is “who would me icon be if I went on iconography????” I love this podcast and can’t stop listening. I’m a Craighead // Ayo Nation forever!!!!

If you love pop culture and comedy, this podcast is for you. If you’re an Anglophile or a glasses girl, this podcast is for you. Ayo and Olivia are both very smart AND have a vast knowledge of pop culture guilty pleasures. Ayo brings a zaniness to the table that is balanced by Olivia’s dry wit and soothing voice. Their friendship chemistry is off the charts and makes you want to be part of their friends group. They have great guests and goofs that will make you laugh out loud AND earnest moments that give the show heart. Also I can’t get the theme song out of my head please help. TL;DR I’m HORNY for the pod

In an era where most pods are trash, Iconography shines as the only pod worth listening to. Ayo and Olivia are hilarious intellectuals and I love their banter about pop culture and icons. 5 stars!

This is a podcast that will make you burst out laughing while listening in public with headphones on. So much positivity and warmth and joy. I’ve learned a lot from these young women. As Ayo said in the most recent episode (I write this one week after the murder of George Floyd), it’s good to consume black content of all kinds- not just the stuff about trauma, but stuff that makes you happy, too. And this show will make you happy. Unless you have bad taste and are bad in which case you might not like it so much.

Discovered the Pod through Ayo & Olivia's great episode on Blank Check, and I'm really glad I did. It's a very similar vibe to blank check: good friends who know way too much about certain topics, play off each other super well, and are hilarious.
