Leisure #26

I'm Whitney Port, and a lot has happened since you last saw me on The Hills. For starters, I'm a mom, I got married to the love of my life, Timmy, I run a business outside of fashion - it's time we finally catch up. There are so many facets that make up my life: relationships, parenthood, entrepreneurship, beauty, fashion, health, wellness and much more. Join me each week as we meet and discuss all these topics and more with trusted experts and favorite people on earth. Hopefully, we can embark on this new journey together with openness, honesty and a little bit of Whit.

    A second baby...Really?
You seem so overwhelmed with having only one child, like spending time with him and parenting him is such a sacrifice. Just a tip, it doesn't get any easier having a second child.

    Fun for my commute
Love Whit and Timmy! Just a fun and interesting podcast for when you’re running around and doing other things.

    BelliWelli founder interview
I absolutely loved your interview with founder Katie! I just tried her bars yesterday at my local Sprouts store because they were being sampled. I was immediately sold at “gut health friendly” & they tasted great too! My two favorites are already birthday cake & strawberry shortcake!

Such a genius idea for a podcast format. Please keep them coming 😊

Love the pod but new acoustics bad!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years and the acoustics in the new office are not good. The dear media episode was so much better. Hope you can fix!

    Love the pod
Love the pod but please don’t record in Timmy’s office again! The acoustics make it impossible to listen to - the echo! Sounds like you’re in a hotel bathroom.

    Worth listening to
So easy to listen to - conversational topics, relevant to current trends or events referenced. Like fashion week, what’s happening in the media, life updates.

    I love Whit & Tim
Whitney Port is the most incredible host. She is so generous to share her life with us- even when she is going through difficult things. I relate to her, get hope and inspiration from her. I am grateful that she opens up about her past on The Hills/The City, which I always love hearing more about. Timmy is so funny and I chuckle every time. They are a dynamic duo and Whitney is also an incredible host on her own. I will always support them!!!

    Recent episode problematic
I love this pod and love Whit and everything she has to share. However, the recent episode in which she denies an eating disorder is problematic because the proof is simply in the pudding. Unless she’s hiding a serious medical condition( which she’s not because she boasts she’s healthy) it’s quite obvious something is wrong. Her weight keeps dropping dramatically and it seems she’s in denial that she needs to rework her relationship with food. It seems it is beyond underweight, naturally skinny, or a picky eater. She has a public platform and while it’s not her responsibility to share all her trials and tribulations on her weight journey, it’s important to set an example for the women following and be honest with herself and the audience. I hope she gets the help she needs and I hope she can encourage other women to do the same.

Started out loving - now starting to cringe
The episodes used to be a great glimpse into their lives and were entertaining. These latest episodes make me cringe. Timmy is condensing towards Whitney and often comes across as a know it all. I’m sad to let this go, but I can’t listen anymore!

    Don’t underestimate Whit!
Whitney Port is an extremely honest, effective, and thoughtful podcaster. Forget about The Hills and see this as a real pod about what it means to be a woman, a wife, a mom, a business owner, and a human being. Super authentic and relatable and worth a listen even if you aren’t sure if it’s worth a try.

    PODCAST GOALS!!!
Whitney is the best! I’m a longtime fan, and religiously listen to her pod and watch her YouTube channel. I love hearing and seeing her sweet relationship with Timmy and I am living for the new pod format with their “date nights”. Whitney and Timmy’s authenticity, honesty, and relatability is amazing and I wish them all the continued success! I can’t wait to see what is to come and will continue to manifest with them!

    Whit >
I really enjoy listening to Whitney, but docking stars for Timmy. He comes across as self-centered, snarky, and negative, and it seems like this downer traits have only increased over the years. *I imagine he is really hurting right now, and perhaps giving him more time and space to process his feelings privately would be best for this pod.
  • Jilly105
    Love it.
I love all the episodes but my favorite are the ones that give us a glimpse inside Whitney and Tim’s relationship because their communication is something I have learned so much from! I am psyched about the extra episodes or new format.

    Date night!
Love the date night episodes! It’s encouraging me to start this with my husband (just in regular life, not on a podcast 😅) - thanks!

    an exhale for the soul!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years & I can always count on these episodes to help my soul exhale. Alongside Whitney’s vulnerable shares, I feel like for a moment I can set down all the parts of me that have been working/trying *so* hard to be my best self & just BE. It’s raw in realness yet aspirational. Love the new episode format of the “Whitney & Timmy check in/date night.” So cool to hear the real conversations that go down inside of building a business with your partner while balancing a healthy relationship and family!!
  • Jkam17
Love the Whitney and Timmy episodes
Love how vulnerable Whitney and Timmy are in their 1x1 conversations. They’re so open and honest with communication and it’s inspiring! I prefer those eps to the interviews with other folks. Excited about the new “date night” concept!!

    One of my fav podcasts
Whitney is an amazing human and I really enjoy watching her YouTube videos and listening to her podcast. Her laugh is so contagious and she has such an uplifting spirit. I also appreciate how open and honest she is on her show, I feel like that’s something that really lacks especially amongst celebrities.

    My GIRL
I tune in every week while working from home and even go back and listen to older episodes as well. I love the skincare and solo episodes, the episodes with Timmy and the BTS talks of The Hills is awesome too!

I absolutely love With Whit! I have been listening since the beginning, and I look forward to episodes each week. No matter if Whitney is speaking to a guest, with Timmy, or just herself.. it’s always an enjoyable listen. Keep it up! 😊

Its a good listen but some tweaks needed
I like Whitney a lot; I watch her youtube and the recaps of The City. Those recaps are amazing. I checked out the podcast hearing Lauren Conrad would be on. Whitney I hope this can be constructive- But I found there to be way too many ads for such a short episode. It made the episode very choppy. I also thought we learned more about you in the interview than we did Lauren. Interviewing someone is not relating every response back to personal experiences. Or setting up a question to talk about something personal. I understand the goal was for it to be a chat where theres back and forth but I think this could have been done and still treated it like an interview where we got more out of it/heard more from Lauren.

    So validating and encouraging
Whitney is such an elegant, sophisticated, and smart woman. I look up to her so much for so many reasons and this podcast reaffirms all of them. I especially like the episodes with Timmy when they discuss their relationship. I watch their YouTube reaction videos and just love them together. I see them and wish I had a love like that and sometimes think it will never happen to me. Listening to the podcast episode with them sharing details about fights though, makes me feel likes it’s possible. Its really easy to idealize what relationship you want, but it’s comforting to know that even the most seemingly “perfect” relationship is hard. I appreciate that Whitney and Timmy make it clear that love doesn’t come easy and you have to work for it and make compromises if you want a good and healthy relationship. I also just admire Whitney being open about her relationship with her dad and how his loss has impacted her. I am very close with my dad and the thought of losing him is terrifying, but for some reason seeing whitney talk about it, but also be successful and happy makes me feel like less scared? I’m not sure how if that makes sense but I just really like that she talks about it. I just really admire Whitney and they way she communicates her thoughts and feelings because it inspires me to be a better person.

You’re review of self helped me review MYself :)
Whitney I really enjoyed this latest episode! I played it during my workday and it helped me stay focused as I’m so easily distracted and wfh. You also inspired me to look for a sketching and also for me a creative writing class bc I want to write but don’t know how to tell if the poems I’ve written are even good. I need tools lol thank you! Wish you the best and can’t wait for more!

    Love it!
Scrolling down and reading all the negative comments was hard because I think it’s rare to find people that are sincerely transparent and honest like Whitney. I will start by saying I love podcasts in general, and this particular one is my favorite because I can always relate to all the topics, the adds are also really good because Whitney includes discount codes with most of them and I have discovered brands and products I never heard before. Maybe it’s just me but I appreciate a real talk, with real stories and hard topics vs. a steady step 1,2 and 3. Relax, enjoy and don’t forget to smile!

    Needs more planning and/or interviews
I love Whitney and her life and family, however I feel like her episodes lately have been unintentional. Whereas the initial episodes focused on interesting interviews or the solo episodes had a topic/theme, it feels like Whitney has been phoning it in lately and is just talking/releasing a podcast because she has to, not because she has anything of value to say or share. Hoping for more interviews and better-planned podcasts in the future.
  • baythang
    Its okay
I started listening because I was an avid watcher of the Hills and thought Whitney was the most mature, together, stylish and cool girl on the show. She also has a really good voice and laugh that I find easy to listen too. Sometimes the content isnt very interesting which is why I dont always tune in, but I will keep it in my loop nonetheless. She talks alot about motherhood, hardships, work stuff, and health / skincare . I really enjoyed the episode on the importance of voting, the one with her husband timmy, the one with LC, and her skincare one. More stuff like that plz!!!
  • LoveTheSilentLaughs
    Honestly honest
Whitney’s honesty, revealing what is behind the curtain of her mind, is so refreshing. I love how she shares her real thoughts on health-aspects of life in her solo episodes, as well as the calming way she interviews guests, and I especially love her episodes with Timmy. Can you please do more rapidfire questions with Timmy?! It’s fun hearing how you guys interact and the ins and outs of your relationship. Hearing the ups and the downs, the good and the bad of mental, physical, relationship health makes me feel less of an oddball and more understood. Whitney is an incredible role model.
  • Ashley920
    Audio issues
Love listening to the podcast but sometimes I can’t make it through because the audio levels are so inconsistent. Whispering is hard to hear and I think sometimes Whitney pulls away from the mic so then I’ll turn up the volume only to get blasted later on. It’s not something I can really listen to hands-free.
  • sm789122
Too many ads and unaware of her privilege
I’ve loved Whitney Port since she was on The Hills because she has always seemed so grounded and hardworking, so I was so happy to discover she has created this podcast! However, my biggest complaint and why I don’t listen all the time now is because there are SO. MANY. ADS. It’s ridiculous! Also, I think she can be very unaware of the fact that she is a very privileged wealthy white woman and has an abundance of resources available to her for raising her child more than most people do.
  • brooklyngirl83
    Audio
Hi Whit! Long time listener. Love the show. Only issue is the audio. Sometimes your voice gets really soft or away from the mic and I find it hard to hear. Appreciate if this could be fixed going forward so I can continue to enjoy your show! Take care!
  • VishOB
    Great but too many sponsors
Love your content whit! So much! But for 30 minute episodes to have a sponsor every 5 minutes is absolutely painful. Hope you can consider restructuring the way you think of your episodes because right now they feel like ten minutes of you and 20 minutes of ads.

    Love
Whitney is a true gem and Timmy is seriously my favorite person on social media right now. I listen to all the podcasts, watch all their reaction videos, and am always seeing what they are up to on Instagram. Love this family so much. I love how open and honest Whit is on the podcast and appreciate her being so vulnerable and transparent in such a public space. Thanks for sharing yourself with us, Whitney. <3

    Love
Love the podcast! Podcast is great if you have kids ( I don’t though) Whitney talks about family, fashion and just life. I love the Timmy episodes and the LC episode was one of my favorites. Agree with the comments about so many ads wish the podcast was longer to balance out the ads.
  • quaranteenqueen
    So many ads
Love Whitney and her husband’s relationship but there are so many ads on top of the episode’s conversation that often is an ad for her own brands already. I wish there were less ads so the convo can go deeper.
  • melaniefreakingrocks
    More content
These episodes are so short + the amount so ads there’s no time to actually get into the conversation, I enjoy the guest but way too short
  • Hoss's delight
    Lovely
Whitney: your podcast is awesome. You are very soothing and you have a great voice for broadcast. You sound deeply kind and caring. Consider limiting your use of the word “like” and stop using a hard G at the end of every -ing word. These things make you sound much less mature than you are. This is constructive criticism and are minor tweaks. Your talks are really uplifting. Loved the Day in a Life episode!
