State of Resistance with Sally Kohn

Each week, State of Resistance features a frank conversation with a leader in the resistance. Whether it’s a national activist or someone toiling away at the grassroots out of the spotlight, we’ll talk about the issues — from DACA to climate change to labor issues to criminal justice reform — with a focus on what real people can do to get more involved and help make change at their own level, in their own communities. We’ll talk about the emotional toll of activism, especially as so many folks are seeing the things they worked their whole lives for swiftly rolled back.

How to make a difference (while having fun)
If you want our democracy to work for all of us, this podcast is for you. You get the inside scoop from THE most effective activists across the country. And of course, since it's Sally, it's super fun too. This podcast gives me hope - and ways to take action.

    Grateful this exists!
It’s really helpful to hear these stories and remember we’re all in this together. These interviews have given me hope when I needed it most. Sally Kohn is an awesome host!

    Thank you!
Thank you for helping to keep me inspired and engaged in the resistance movement. It's been a LONG year, but your podcast helps to recharge my batteries. You help to remind me that I am not alone in my fight, even though sometimes it feels like an uphill battle living in an uber red corner of the US.

    Funny, Informative, Practical
Obviously, if you love Trump, you will hate this podcast, because it is all about undermining our Orange Fuhrer's regime of spreading hate and raiding the nation's coffers. It gives strategic advice for how to move forward. What I like about this is that it is hopeful and practical. Sally is a great interviewer. Her insights are sharp, and her comedic timing is johnny on the spot. Sally gets her guests to tell good stories, and the banter is friendly and fun and engaging. There is the constant theme here of practically how to work productively to save our country during these dark times. Sally is so brave. She stands for all that the Trump crazies loathe. When you read their hate-filled reviews (and obviously, they haven't actually listened to any of the episodes), just read them with a Russian accent. Then, you can pretend that they are simply villains from James Bond movies, not actual humans that exist in real life. Keep going, Sally! We need your voice, and this podcast is a refreshing addition to the national conversation about what to do with this horrendous mess of an administration.

    Feminist who hates women
How this woman had Linda Sarsour on her first podcast is mind-boggling. That woman is nothing but hateful who believes in sharia law and believes that women should actually have their rights taken away from them because men know better. It the definition of Islam. Sally Kohan hates herself and hates America. You can actually hear it in her voice when she realizes she's lost an argument but she still tries to hold on to her sense of high superiority for dear life. Like most liberals she's can't make up her mind and everyone who doesn't think like her is wrong...because DIVERSITY!!!!

I would listen to Sally Kohn read the phone book.
If people still had phone books! What’s a phone book? But—even better—I also can’t wait to hear Sally’s regular expert(s) dose of insight, analysis, anger, organizing, and maybe even hope. -LH

    Love the nuance
Been following Sally Kohn on twitter and have enjoyed her threads and thoughts there. This Podcast feels very promising. The initial interview with Linda Sarsour is a joy to listen to. Digs into the nuances of and the headaches within the progressive movement. Sarsour paints a beautiful picture of a diverse progressive movement that focuses more on the bigger picture of resistance, and the importance of becoming an active participant to better build understanding empathy, and ultimately make progress.
