To misquote Springsteen in his song "Growing Up" I found the key to rock history universe in the engine of a old parked podcast. Sonny and Steven are the cosmic kids and when people say sit down, they stand up!

Great co-hosts one has better taste in music one is ok but together they are on fire.. If you like fun and shenanigans this is the podcast for you

I happened upon this podcast just about 4 years ago on a recommendation from another I listen to. I really appreciate the passion Steven & Sonny have for the music of my lifetime but also give some love to the bands still creating new music, many of which I’d never have heard or even given a chance had it not been featured on Growin’ Up Rock! I look forward to what they have to offer in the future!

Sonny and Steven have introduced me to so much new music that I have to keep a list the artists to remember who to go back and listen to, as I have a hard time remembering names. I love the diversity of music discussed and the varying opinions of the two hosts. I was turned on to this is a very roundabout way. Negative comments directed towards a Jody of a Kiss podcast (by a Dr) lead me to search out Podcast Rock City. Sonni far and away steals that show, which lead me to Growin Up Rock. Thank goodness! This is a go to podcast for me!! 5 stars.

This podcast is hosted by 2 Rock and Roll fans who like some of the same things but don’t always agree on others. Love the way they talk like friends at a bar. Also love the Crank It Up part. And especially the KISSTORIC moment segment.

I subscribed to this podcast after the crossover with Cobras and Fire. Description for each episode is awesome. I checked out Battlebeast after one of your episodes. You made a three hour podcast about Rock cruise entertaining. This is a must for people who respect real rock.

Let me start by saying I’m probably older than most who’ve reviewed or commented on this or any other podcast. To be honest it took me a bit to figure out how to even leave a review. Although it sounds like I’m technically challenged, I’m not really. Enough about me, this is for Steven, Sonny and their Growinuprock Podcast. If you’re into learning more about rock/metal artist then this is what you want coming out of your speakers, earbuds, headphones etc....These guys are really easy to listen to and you get the bonus of actually learning something new and hearing some great music. If you’re offended by a few four letter words then...too bad, get over it!! Use a Q-tip after listening to an episode and move on to the next episode. I believe they’re coming up on their 100th episode and that in and of itself speaks volumes (see what i did there). For me when I just want to chill, it’s great to kick off an episode on my phone or iPad and just relax. Keep doing what you’re doing guys and we’ll keep being enlightened educated and rocked🤘🏻🤘🏻

Just started listening the “Growin’ Up Rock Podcast” and I’m so glad I did. I love the topics but more importantly it’s the hosts that have me hooked. I’m always drawn to podcasts where the hosts have something to say, good or bad. Steven and Sonny definitely have opinions and their give and take makes for some awesome listening. Wasn’t sure what to expect from the very talented Sonny on this first(?) solo podcast venture... 🤔 DEFINITELY was impressed with the musical selections (downloaded a few songs I didn’t have, with mad props going to Extreme’s Politicalamity)... 🤗 And, of course, the usual rock titans that Steven and Sonny usually play didn’t disappoint (“Love you, Lzzy!”)... 😍 So much friggin talent in one episode, it’d be a sin not to have these gifted artists all throughout your playlists (Richie, Michael, JSS, Lzzy, and Tony)...🤟🏾 Very nice job with the editing too, Hollywood! So, I just found this show a couple weeks ago and they had me hooked from the first episode when Steve played “What’s Next To The Moon”, my all time favorite AC/DC song. Bingeing the show now and am about 12 episodes in. Love the interviews and stories!! Keep it up guys!

Growing Up Rock is a very good and entertaining podcast Steven and Hollywood mesh together real well. Their shows are entertaining as well as infrmative in the world of rock. They have great interviews with the players movers and shakers of rock. this is one of my go to podcasts each week. And another great interview with Paul Dean of Loverboy i loved them and still listen as of today. So If you have never listened to them you need to treat your ears and give them a listen and im sure you will like them as i do.
