In an era where there's a higher currency on brevity and attention-grabbing headlines, I always appreciate the comprehensive nature of CoS' articles. This extends to their podcast network as well. Their audio reviews (current favorite is the new Saba record) give you the depth and analysis of a traditional web-published review, but with the added bonus of being able to listen to it on the go. Snappy editing, wonderful song snippets, and excellent production.

… And this show has introduced me to a lot of stuff that I was in the dark on. And even cases where I would’ve been otherwise too busy to realize that, for example, a new Decemberists album had come out. Full disclosure, I produce this podcast network – but I’m so busy producing podcasts that I don’t actually have the chance to actively listen to new music… And therefore, this show has is been really helpful!
