Matt is an excellent teacher who speaks to the individual and not above them. He seems like a genuine person eager to help others learn the craft.

He will explain what to do but never shows step by step how he did it. "I have it set up like I want so i don't want to mess with it." He talks a lot but really doesn't show you much.

Matt is a charming woodworking "everyman" hobbyist, who knows a lot more about woodworking than his self-deprecating demeanor might let on. His podcasts are always informative, and its great to see his efforts so well documented. Agree or disagree with some of his methods, he's always open to feedback and explaining his reasoning for whatever technique or approach he takes. As woodworking is often a solitary pursuit, its great to get a chance to see into someone else's shop and see how they do things. Keep up the good work Matt!
