    Relistening - amazed
How far podcasting has fallen since the end of Important If True! I didn't even realize how low my standards had become until I started my current third relisten. Possibly the best short run podcast ever made. They are funny, they are good broadcasters, they are ridiculous, and they have their finger on the pulse of America. It's a banality at this point to say I miss them, they need to come back, etc. I'm not saying I understand why they stopped, but I do trust their instincts. I think to ask for more when there are 56 beautiful, hilarious episodes would just be greedy. I just want to say I appreciate you Idle Thumbs for all the delightful audio.

    Relistening in the year 2022
They’re just as funny now as they were in 2017. Rest in pieces, Kings…

Intellectually Compelling, Great Chemisty & it's Fun and Goofy
Chris, Jake, and Nick are an excellent trio to spend a little time with. It's like MBMBaMe if instead of doling out advice (or "advice"), they offered their opinions (or "opinions") on what a super intelligent A.I. would request of a genie to make better use of fire ants in the world, if said A.I. were given the chance. Hope they come back soon.

    Totally my boyfriends
Actually, I do them a disservice -- I've had crappy boyfriends. Until now! (Shh, they don't know yet. They'll figure it out when they file the restraining orders. Or, y'know, read this.) Brainy, hilarious, and with perfect chemistry, these gentlemen draw you in immediately with wild and marvelous examinations of everything you didn't know you wanted to know. A truly laugh-out-loud, make the people in the car beside you think you're nucking futs experience. This. Is my jam.

    Existential delight.
Amazing ‘cast with an amazing cast! Love the topics and zany ‘thought experiments’ they cover. What’s more, they are all extremely articulate and excellently capable at putting words to the intensely abstract concepts discussed. Also, can’t forget, very funny the whole time as well. Can’t recommend enough.

    Well-formed, but suspicious
Not on board with the hoisting, but another fine podcast by Idle Thumbs.

    Laughing on the Subway
I'll be honest, when I first heard that Idle Thumbs gamers were going to be splitting off to do a new, non-game oriented podcast, I was skeptical. And honestly, my skepticism was well placed as admittedly I didn't really enjoy the first two episodes of this podcast the same way I'd come to love the Idle Thumbs cast. Idle thumbs gave me such a great perspective on games from a developer perspective and stepped away from the wide-spread, games media take on gaming podcasts. It was refreshing. So now this offshoot podcast with some of my favorite podcast personalities comes along and it didn't hit for me. But then as episodes went on, I realized something: these guys build relationships with their listeners over time. The reason i loved Idle Thumbs was because of all the little innuendos and inside jokes about the way each of them approached gaming. So by the time episode 4 comes around they've already included the listener in a bizarre universe where cockroaches have spawned a driverless car revolution and dreams are now self-produced hellscapes where repetitive actions become the cadence of the intro to a Pink Floyd song! The strange and niche humor of Each and every one of these episodes builds on itself in an almost narrative way so much so that eventually you really truly do feel included in the fun these guys are having with each other. Being a bit of a lonely commuter here I'm Mew York City where hours of my day is spent on the Subway, these delightful ramblings have me literally laughing out loud in ways one shouldn't be while traveling on public trains. After weeks spent listening to these guys I often get hesitant to indulge in an episode unless my Subway car is almost empty. I wanna say thanks for the happiness in this twisted year that is 2017... this is a phenomenal podcast for the futurist, internet explorer who enjoys humor, modern perplexities and the ever evolving human experience. Five stars!

    Funny, amazing and random
What a hilarious, random and varied podcast! I learn something every week... frequently something that will help me avoid an embarassing self-hoisting at some point in the future.

    I love this show
I honestly haven't laughed as hard I did listening to episode 14. Like, full on cry laughing alone in my apartment while my dog looks on confused.

    Can't get enough.
Not sure how I found this podcast but it is now my favorite thing ever. Weirdness in the world discussed to a hilarious level of specificity. Perfect.

    Get Hoisted
A weird, funny show about the ways in which Western civilization will be the end of the world, whether through an overlord A.I. Mind composed of home toasters and cellphones, or people's intense desire to never be embarrased.

Not a far cry from Idle Thumbs
The same entertaining conversations as Idle Thumbs but with a new focus and energy.

Exactly what I need for my 1 hr commute
I have been an idle thumbs listen and contributor since 2009. My interest in video games had waned after my career change and I was not listening to idle thumbs but still followed the guys on twitter. When I saw Important If True was a thing, I downloaded immediately. This cast of friends going frantic about robots has me laughing on my commute. It is weird but I feel these 3 guys are my friends. In a recent ep Chris mentioned not being able to fly home from Washington. I remember that time from his absence from an idle thumbs ep. VERY ENTERTAINING HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    The Podcast that Owned Itself
All of my favorite parts of Idle Thumbs exploded out into their own show.

A podcast of the robo resistance
When Idle Thumbs announced a new podcast that wasnt centered on video games I wasn't sure what to expect. But "Important If True" is a fantastic podcast that gets better and better with each episode. The hosts discuss oddball news and listener submitted personal stories to hilariously examine topics such as human psycology, robotics conglomerates , obscure pop-culture history, and shoehorns. I often find myself listening to each facinating topic and thinking "this is amazing! why have i never heard of this before!" An absolute delight to listen to each week.

I feel like I love them enough to rate!
5 stars for the fact that if you sneeze once you'll have no idea where the conversation you're listening to has come from. Each conversation is a dinosaur apocalypse of random. I swear if I try to multitask I fall behind only to be left alone on my isolated island thinking to myself "where the hell did this topic come from." Which is brilliant. I love their other podcast so here I am. Confused and lost 85% of the time (that other 5% is during the ads where I know we're all on the same page again.) yeah I know I left out 10% but I'll let the insects of the future decide where I'll go with that.
  • Becca Seraph
The terrifying conversations that are fun to have!
Even if you don't know Idle Thumbs, this podcast is great to chill you to the bone and then graft skin grown in a lab from some robot into said bones! But in a good way!

    Nice work!
Keep casting the great pods. You gentlemen are really fun to listen to. Thank you for helping to occupy my mind.

    Important News For Humans
It's the preapocalyptic Robot News podcast I've always hoped Idle Thumbs would do, or as close to it as we're going to get! Thanks for keeping us all informed.

    The Thumbs Crew is Back
Unshackled from the bonds of being a video game podcast, something they honestly hadn't been for a long time, Chris, Jake and Nick are finally free to dedicate an hour a week to laughing in the face of our inevitable robot overlords.

    Gooooooood stuff
Somehow ended up on this page and figured it was time to finally leave a review for the group of guys I've spent hundreds of hours listening to and laughing at for years now. Awesome stuff, very very gooooooood stuff, keep it up!

    An instant new favorite!
Idle Thumbs has been easily my favorite podcast for years and this new show keeps the essence of what made it great, with a much wider variety of topics.

    I'd follow these guys anywhere
Veteran podcasters, a mixture of erudite observation and infectious, silly humor. All the good stuff from the classic Thumbs, just with a new setting!

    Important if Good
After 8 years of fun, digressive comments on Video Games the Idle Thumbs crew delve headlong into the world of the inane with their new podcast. A fun irreverent take on whatever strikes the host's fanc, IIT provides an absurd release from an absurd show.

Like a great conversation with friends
I have always been a fan of the crazy tangents that these guys go on during their other podcasts, so when I found out that they were making a podcast of only that kind of discussion I was delighted. Keep it up!
