Can’t help but talk about the idiot and his “boarder wall” review. He probably thinks it’s for people boarding planes or that the wall is simply made of boards. Lol he probably has 5 kids, while smart people have problems conceiving… hence the evolution of stupidity in this country. P.s. dummy, if Americans didn’t do so many drugs, we wouldn’t have so many problems. Most of the drugs in America aren’t coming across the land BORDERS. They’re coming across the BORDER crossing points in trucks and couriers.

    Lacking integrity
Decent, yet corrupt. This is biased reporting when you attack leaders and their efforts. Lost all respect for Vice news. Keep your opinions to yourself.

    American hypocrisy
This podcast is very well done. The only issue I had listening to it, was the way America’s culpability in the “war on drugs” was just glossed over, like it is in virtually everything written or filmed about prohibition. The US can STOP the bloodshed and marginalization of so many South American countries and their citizens by just finally admitting the drug war is a complete and total failure!

    Loved this podcast
I especially liked the on the ground reporting in Sinaloa, interviews with poppy farmer & people living in Narco territory. It gave a richness to the reporting often missed by other accounts.

    Good not great
I appreciate the work and information brought to light from the world of Chapo. I felt like at times you guys reflected Chapo as better than he was or that blame should be elsewhere.
  • American reflection
    Waste of American taxpayer money
The southern American border wall is a terrible waste of taxpayer money because the smugglers go anywhere but through this area! As El Chapo was catapulted to notoriety by using tunnels and submarines! War on drugs will never end because this is all derived from the dirt that God has provided for medical reasons and has been used for the worse!

    Excellent production
And writing! Makes the story easy to dive into even though its a massive tale

    Fresh and Insightful!
Incredibly interesting look into the individuals at the heart of the “drug war” and the folks most influenced by it. Very immersive and insightful, and very human— especially instances where Mexicans on all sides are interviewed first hand on their experiences, whether they are a part of the drug-trafficking process or unwilling participants.

    The Southern Boarder Wall
Very good job on this podcast. You’ve made the excellent case of why we need the Boarder Wall constructed. I don’t think this was your intention however, as you state that if it wasn’t for U.S. policies in place, none of this would be occurring, and a wall would not be needed. I fail to see logic in that argument, ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU DEMONSTRATE HOW CORRUPT THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT IS AND HAS BEEN!

A phenomenal account of El Chapo
I loved the pace of this podcast. I felt like every detail was structured in a precise way to tell the story, every episode carried to the next and I never once felt like I was missing something. The story is insane and leave it to Vice to create such a great storytelling even through a media like Podcast. Just brilliant! Would love to hear more podcasts like this from Vice.

    White people at it again
White people narrating simple things in awe because they are in Mexico. Drones is at it again.

    A must listen
If you’re into all things Chapo-related, this podcast is IT.I especially appreciate that it gives voice to those affected by the brutal drug trade, not just the infamous kingpin.

    Bait and switch
Like a bad law enforcement tactic this is a bait and switch to another platform.
  • really itunes
    Nope
    Spotify ruined another great podcast!!!!
  • mother/of/dragons
    I wanted more
Come on! You can’t just end it here with 3 episodes.
  • CodyTNelson
Would have gotten a better review if they had all the episodes on podcasts
Only has 3 episodes on podcasts and there’s no chance I’m going to get another app just for one show. So stupid
  • Lexihfrhnxsshjjnvfdd
    Worth it
This podcast is epic. Vice delves into every avenue of this story. It switches to Spotify after episode 3 which, come on, is no big deal. It took a minute to create a new account. Worth it
  • TLKingdom
    Spotify subscription.
I recommend watching the new chapo Netflix series vs. paying the same amount to listen to vice tell the story.
  • Darryl_R
    Spotify fail.
Great start ruined by Spotify stupidity.
  • kiranbalegar
    Good Podcast but!
Good podcast and great journalism but the swtich to Spotify is very bad. I understand they need the money to run these things but should have made it clear before even releasing the first episode. Good marketing strategy by Spotify but unprofessional move form the Vice
  • Frehfdvbn
    Draw and drop
Love the podcast for me into it but no content produced often enough. I tell ppl about it yet there are only 3 episodes
  • Stacey1015673834482916474
    So lame
Why start us here and then force a transfer to a different platform. Bait and switch. No way I’ll listen, just based on principle. Too bad, pretty good podcast.
  • Jzzzzxxxx
    Stick to the same platform
5 star podcast with 1 star strategy on how to move people to a different platform.lol, pass
  • MikeyKeyz
    SCAM
Scam to get you to a different platform.
  • -=MiGs=-
    Agree, bunch of BS
The idea is to get as much listeners as possible not herd people to another platform/app. We are not your sheep. Yet another fail of Vice. Here is a novel idea make it available on multi platforms/apps. Lame.
  • jfzy408
    BS
    Not downloading Spotify for this!
  • maxguiors
its ok but those hosts are kind of a turn off
should have done this with more informed, professional, and fluent bilingual hosts/journalists. and when translating, just use one person to translate, dont switch.
  • RYAN SINGER DESIGN
    don’t make me download Spotify
There’s no reason why we need to download Spotify. .. Thanks
  • Blondie3575!
    Not cool
I subscribed to your podcast, listened to an episode, I gave you a 4 star review and now it’s no longer available on the platform I listened to and rated? I wish I could take my positive rating back. Two thumbs down 👎 greed is not a good look.
  • Chicago Chicano
They make you listen on Spotify
I only listen on iTunes podcast app. You get 1 Star for attempting to strong arm me into listening on Spotify. Last time I checked I couldn’t listen at 2x speed. I refuse
  • Orange Bird 117
    Chapo
Lame bait and switch. Limiting platforms just limits the audience.
  • hadleyhodges
How many times can you like say like
Good story. But hard to listen to what sounds like teenagers Speak. So like how many like people do you like know in Sinaloa
  • Traveling soul
    Exciting!
Grabbed me from the first episode. Journalists/hosts are terrific! For those saying they don’t have Spotify to finish listening to the series-Spotify is free.
  • Mccar127
    Great topic; wrong hosts
Love the subject, but the sheltered, middle class kids hosting it are all wrong.
  • Tylermg
Great 3 episodes Bad move to go spotify only
Sad something with great potential will lose out due to leacing itunes for spotify
  • tri_jitsu
    Not Happy
Was really starting to enjoy the podcast and now I find out they won’t be playing any more episodes outside of Spotify which I don’t have. Thanks for the good old bait and switch! Wish I would’ve known before I started listening and wasted my time.
  • AMallory
    wow
really excited for the rest of these episodes to roll out. no one does it like vice news
  • Mlearmonth
    Really strong
This first episode will keep me listening. VICE News' Keegan Hamilton goes to Chapo's hometown and meets a small time drug lord who explains how the heroin trade works. Then we learn why he thinks he'll soon be killed.
  • shawna-t
    Fascinating
The first episode got me from the get go. It’s hard not to be curious about el Chapo, but this podcast is taking the time to unravel who he is and the case being made against him. I’ll keep listening!
  • reetsbeats
    Hooked!
They got me on the first episode! How they get El Chapo to and from court is insane!
  • I<3Chapo
    Great reporting
Vice News always has the best coverage. Keegan Hamilton is absolutely amazing- would recommend
  • GreatPodcasts
