This is my favorite podcast. I listen to at least 2 episodes a day. I love all the random facts, and I love learning new science facts. I am in 6th grade, and I’m 100% sure that I’m the only person in my grade who knows what the world’s greatest tiny museum is!

“Part-Time Genius” goes back years for me when I first entered rehab; listening to Will and Mango chat was so comforting during detox. Today I still enjoy hearing the many varied topics they cover. It’s (yet another) trivia podcast (which are surprisingly plentiful) but some are actually quite good. “Part-Time Genius” is one of the better ones! The hosts cover things ranging from things from the Michelin Stars to Transformers toys to sunscreen, Jacques Cousteau, Esperanto, and beyond. The only drawbacks are that the “conversation” appears forced sometimes. You can sort of tell that Mango and Will are working off a pretty practiced set of bullet points or even a script; the questions they ask each other to keep the chat going aren’t deep (“How so?” “What’s that?”) and the chat isn’t exactly natural. (No Chuck or Josh here!) They also start off each episode with a zero-context opener (“Guess what!”) which is childish sounding. Worse, they seem to have embraced AI in a bad way: each episode has its own badly-generated AI art graphic (some of which are truly horrifying), and the transcripts on the website are just speech recognition gone wrong (“man guess how ticketer” is apparently how you spell Mangesh Hattikudur!) Despite those shortcomings, I keep coming back to listen, and I enjoy all the same.

I really enjoy the content but Mango consistently laughing is annoying. 80% of his talking is hahahaha and it’s stupid, distracting, and downright awful. And he’s constantly going off track. Please, stop the fake hahahaha. Most of the time it’s not funny and simply terrible.

I love this podcast! I was so happy when it showed back up in my feed a few months ago! I always hoped it would come back 😁 I love the random things I learn while listening, and also the genuine laughter and friendship between Will and Mango that come through. This is one I always suggest when friends ask for podcast recommendations. Thanks for the great listen!

I’ve loved this podcast for a few years now. It really helps to get your mind off things and de-stress, while still being educational. Will and Mango are great hosts! Love the information but audio goes from painfully loud to barely audible. Too hard to listen to on our road trip.

I recently listened to Season 2 Episode 9 with Mark Vande Hei and was so inspired! I love this show anyway, but the interview on this episode really gave me a lot to think about and I’ll be chewing on his comments about attention for a long time. Love!

Listened to this podcast on a road trip with kids and you really need to work on audio design. It goes from punchy loud laughter to barely audible explanations of things. It would be so great if we weren’t all so sad about having to constantly turn it up or down and inevitably missing some things or conversely getting our ears blasted.

I think this podcast is a great idea! It’s educational but interesting at the same time. And when I mean interesting I mean not THAT boring. And that’s what I want to talk about other than the great stuff. I think it can be a little boring at some points so maybe be a little more funny, no offense. I get that the point of the podcast is to tell interesting facts which makes it hard to be funny or be fun, and of course it doesn’t have to be but if I would change something maybe have some jokes or make it a little more exciting. Other than that it’s an amazing podcast and I would recommend it! (Sorry I couldn’t explain it better i’m not that experienced because I’m only 11)

Yet another wonderful podcast ruined by iHeart. I have had to unsubscribe to so many of my old favorites which I had listened to for years because they have been chopped up into tiny pieces and wedged between huge ads. Not only that, but the ads tend to be mainly about other iHeart podcasts that I am not interested in. Back in the days when the hosts read the ad copy, I really didn’t care what the ads were about. I listened to them because I liked their voices. Now the injected ads send me snapping around to fast forward though them even if I would like to learn about the product, because the voices, music, and sound effect seem to be tuned to reach me if I have walked away from a TV and out of the room. I listen with headsets and this ads hurt my ears. I tried to keep my phone near me so I could quickly skip the ads, but I am so tired of that now. So … so long guys and thanks for the memories.

Very interesting and I love listening to fun facts like these ! The reason I did not add five stars is because there are SO many ads!!😞 It is extremely annoying to take my time to skip them. Will and mango are otherwise super funny!

WAY too many ads. I try think this is a funny and enjoyable podcast but there is so many ads that pop up everywhere. Plus I really dont want to hear about miracle grow all the time.

If I were to tell you that I found a perfect podcast for you, would you believe me. Probably not but guess what I did. The name of the podcast is Part Time Genius. Part Time Genius is perfect for all age groups, even my younger sister enjoys listening with me. Part Time Genius is an entertaining fun fact trivia podcast that focuses on random chunks of trivia and then the hosts Mangesh Hattikudur and Will Pearson expand on the information. I was lucky enough to hear about Part Time Genius from one of my good friends, who is a big fan and has listened to every episode. This podcast really helps to get your mind off of things and destress and decompress, while still being able to learn new fun and educational facts. It is filled with interesting facts that make it almost impossible to stop listening to. While I love how the hosts are dynamic enough to keep the audience awake and have their attention, I wish that the podcast was not so scripted sounding. It can get annoying when the conversation between the hosts is so obviously scripted. I was surprised to find out in the episode “What are the secret rules the royal family has to obey” that the only time the queen carries money is on Sunday to donate to the church and that the money is iron and folded to only show her face. Some questions I want to ask Mr. Hattikudur and Mr. Pearson is why did they start this podcast and where do they get the information presented in the podcast from. I would like to ask these questions because even though the hosts talk about trivia facts, they have never stated where they got the information from. Some topics I would like Mr. Hattikudur and Mr. Pearson to also cover in the podcast is who was the most bizarre president, weird things the government spends money on, weirdest theme restaurants, and facts about the Grimm Bothers or some other famous author or producer. These topics are appropriate for this podcast since the hosts do discuss weird and random facts. Overall, this podcast was an enjoyable and unforgettable along with being very interesting to listen to. I highly recommend Part Time Genius to anyone who is interested in learning some new trivia facts.

If you're looking for quick entertainment while you have a few minutes' drive to school or fast break at work, I would totally recommend this podcast Part-Time Genius to you. I found this podcast conveniently on my way to school the other day on the radio but if you have a smartphone, you can easily access it there for more episodes too. There are hundreds of interesting episodes to listen to and most of them you can complete in 20 minutes! Of course, some range from 30-40 minutes but there's tons of quick ones. Out of the episodes I've heard so far, the one that’s kept me thinking is the episode called “9 Thrilling Mysteries...Solved!” This episode in particular was super engaging, and I didn’t want to stop listening. I had never heard someone take a simple discussion and turn it into entertainment like they do. Something about the conversation of the hosts talking and the actual content makes the episodes so much fun and entertaining. The hosts are from iHeartRadio so if you're familiar with that station, you know what I mean. Another episode I thought the hosts made entertaining was the episode “Absurd Inventions you (probably) Won't See on Shark Tank.” They talk about so many things that can make you wonder and even boost your curiosity. Theres also not a ton of advertisements in the middle to interrupt a cliff hanger or an interesting discussion, they usually get them over with at the beginning and you can skip right over them. I do wonder how they decide what topics to talk about. I would love to call in and ask the host to talk about some topics I have in mind like interesting conversation on things like sports or traveling. I think if they incorporated their audience and included topics their listeners want to hear about, many more people would find their podcast a go-to like I do. The podcast alone is simply entertaining, and you can find just about anything in their episodes. You can pick and choose them based on the length and how much free time you have; you can listen with little to no interruption, and I can guarantee you will not want to stop listening! 5 Starts!!
