Is this podcast starting back up soon?
First, I’m a huge fan of the show and listen religiously but curious when the show is coming back. I know Jamie and Jenna both moved and said they were taking a brief hiatus but I’m dying for some more episodes ☺️

    Too much complaining
I kept listening because I love Jamie. But I can’t stand listening to Jenna complain about her husband.. she’s lucky she has a husband that gives her the biggest Blessing in life which is being with her kids and enjoying every moment without the worry of a full time job or a having the babysitter spend all those precious moments with them... you complain so much about being tired! It’s very excessive!! Done listening! Just discovered pajama pants podcast!! Now I can listen to Jamie without listening to Jenna!!! Yay

    Used to love, becoming hard...
Loved this podcast in the beginning! But unfortunately I had to take a break for a couple of months because the venting about their husbands became exhausting. I understand the need for a safe space and wanting to relate to the audience but there comes a point when starting every podcast talking about how bad things seemingly are in the marriage brings a negative energy. Tried to start back up with the most recent episode and unfortunately nothing changed. Will be continuing my weekly “mom” podcast routine with The Mom Hour and Mom Brain. Both are relatable without feeling emotionally draining.

    All Talk
Absolutely love Melissa Wood as a guest, but was too annoyed by the hosts to make it through to the end of the interview. Got very tired of hearing them continually talk about how unhappy they are with their body, mind, etc. At some point you need to do something about it or stop talking about it.

    Faithful listener but ...
Listening to Jenna today made Me cringe. You are Living in that much fear that you won’t take your kids to an outdoor park?! I’m sorry but the lack of common sense is making me want to unsubscribe.

    Really love BUT
Ive been listening since the beginning and I absolutely love the both of you and your approach to motherhood, being a wife and person outside of the home! You always entertain and are so relatable! However, the last 6 months Ive had to push through listening to most episodes because they ALL surround quarentine! I know its all at the forefront of our minds and something we are navigating through together but I listen to podcasts to step away from daily life too. For example: the episode with Dr. Elliott was great-there was some covid talk but it was mostly learning about help during pregnacy that he offers.. I think it’d be great to get more guests on again that are geared towards us learning something new rather than just hearing about the guests’ experience right now.. it gets depressing after so many episodes. Anyways, just my current thoughts. Love you guys and that you so much for all you do! <3

    Awesome parenting podcast!
I am loving this podcast! Jamie & Jenna pack every episode with tons of amazing content, guests, and interviews that will motivate, uplift and inspire you. I highly recommend!

    Disappointed
Normally love but the interview with Jamie Bakal had me bummed. Moms don’t need to be shamed and told how to feel about schools not reopening. It puts people on a difficult situation. People that don’t have money to throw at for nanny’s. Money doesn’t matter when you have it.

    LOVE this podcast but...
I love this podcast. The first few episodes were amazing! The episodes with Jill Spivack are gold or when there’s a comedian it’s the laugh that I need as a mom. I also love how real Jamie and Jenna are. However, as a listener, I am so sick of listening to Jenna vent about her husband. It’s been over a year of hearing the same problem on almost every episode. I’ve lost sympathy. I now skip ahead or just switch to a different podcast. I’m not the only review bringing this up.

    A personal therapy session
I used to really enjoy this podcast, but it feels like it has turned into 1) things that the audience can’t participate in and 2) a personal therapy session for jamie and jenna. Having your friends or people from your network on is fine but it shouldn’t feel like i’m sitting in on your appointment. There’s virtually no point in me listening bevause the only peopl getting anything from it are jamie and jenna... it’s not personal for the listener at all. No tangible take aways. Just a lot of chatter and tangents about tour own lives.

    Too much venting
I’ve enjoyed some episodes but it seems like they often use this platform to vent about their husbands. I feel so bad for the men they are married to.

    So f’ing good
So relatable, open, honest, the content is amazing. One of the best out there, keep doing what you’re doin mamas

Any mom of young children needs this!
I love how open and honest these women are about motherhood- it is what sets them apart!

    So refreshing!
Mama Said is a candid and real look at modern motherhood. I love every episode and how candid Jenna and Jamie are!

I just love your podcast! You both are well spoken, funny and have great content. Keep up the great work!

    What Guests?
I am listening to the most recent episode with Christine Lakin- but you wouldn’t know it because Jenna has NOT stopped complaining about her kids/life. I mean, there was literally a 5-10 minute period of time where her and Jamie just talked about themselves and you wouldn’t have even known there were guests there. Please tune into your guests and let them speak; we are listening to hear them too.
  • Jennyapple3
    Used to love
The last episode was like therapy session for Jenna. The guests barely said two words while she went on a rant. It was really hard to listen to.

    SO RELATABLE
I’m a new mom & just found this podcast. So. Freaking. Relatable. I love this podcast & these women!

    Love this!
Totally love love love this podcast!!

Sorry but this is so horribly unrelatable
Private school, nannies, Starbucks treats? How can I relate to this?
  • sjw1026
    Eh
I liked this podcast, but the recent episode on politics was cringey. It’s titled mom shaming but really had very little to do with parenting. I felt shamed for being a republican listening to it, ironic how that worked out 😐
  • mnkl97
    Poor sound and production quality
Sounds like Jamie is in a tin can. At minute 15, the hosts start a mid-conversation ADVERTISEMENT for Rituals vitamins! No segue, just the promotion, then they oddly return to the conversation at hand. Don’t they know to pre-record the paid advertisements from sponsors? Seems like the podcast was produced by an amateur. The hosts are fun and the content seems interesting, but the poor production quality impacts the overall listening experience.

    Love this podcast !
I love listening to this podcast, it’s so Relatable to moms and I love Jenna ‘s honesty wont her mom fails. I will say it has seemed a little rushed lately but I know they probably have a timeframe they have to stick to.

    Motherhood or Politics
Since when is this a President bash podcast. No thanks! This guest and Jenna pushing their view on the listeners, is not ok!

Love the material but... holy ads?!
I do really enjoy this podcast but the ads are seriously out of control! We get it - they pay for the podcast (you make that clear in the intro) but why is half of your show now geared towards selling something? How many other podcasts out there have been running for years and only advertise once, maybe twice? Less ads, more content please
  • Izzy111817
    Mostly good with one annoyance
The content is usually enjoyable but it is reallly annoying hearing Jamie-Lynn complain about worrying about money so much. You can afford to send kids to private school=privileged!! Or you can live somewhere with a better public school system if you’re so worried about private school costs. Really shows how out of touch she is when most families struggle. It gets very annoying.

A must listen to podcast for moms!
I love this podcast SO much. It is so relatable and truly makes me feel like I’m not alone in this crazy mom life. Their honest approach to topics that are typically not discussed openly has helped me get through PPD and to feel like I don’t have to have as much mom guilt for the silly things. I do not like the massive amount of ads, but the content continues to bring me back. Thank you SO much for keeping it real and allowing us to have more of an “unfiltered” view of the sometimes ugly side of motherhood. I love the guests on the show that provide wonderful advice, as well.
  • MelissaD906
    Meh.
I’ve been a listener since the beginning and I used to love this podcast and look forward to it. Lately it feels boring and like the hosts can’t stay on topic. Listening to the Marriage and Martinis episode now and they’re barely letting the guests speak. Cringe. Really want to love this podcast because I LOVE the Ladygang. I feel like they need a Keltie to really lead the episodes.

    Real mom's do exist
100% relatable and so glad I'm not alone. I found this at a time I really needed it, trying to find myself as a mom, a student, a working mom, a friend and a wife. Helped me bring my head back down to earth and realize I can be all of these things without giving up one or the other.

    Ads
I really like this podcast, but the ads are excessive. I understand it’s how money is made, but it seems like there are a ton more than other podcasts.

Thank you thank you thank you for doing this podcast! I listened to the first episode after listening to both of you on Bella’s podcast and I’m so glad I did! I have an 18 month old precious child but the first year was the hardest year of my life and I can relate to you two in so many ways! After listening I felt “lighter” because I felt like I was among friends that get me! -Fan for life!

    Yessssss! Keeping it REAL!
Thank you ladies for bringing us a show with real commentary about the joys and frustrations of being a parent. Both emotions can coexist and not make you a bad parent. Your episodes are funny and informative and make me feel seen and heard. 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻Keep it up!

    EVERYONE READ THIS REVIEW
I was listening for awhile and really loved the relatable stories!!! UNTIL- I listened to the episode on how to be good mamas to Mother Earth. I’m thoroughly disappointed. I’m a farmer in small town Wisconsin. And I work closely with reading pesticide labels and following the rules of the EPA (environmental protection agency). The “facts” you 2 and your guest are false. I’m thoroughly disappointed and won’t be listening anymore. Your facts are wrong and I’m organic products aren’t healthier. In fact, the chemicals they use on organic crops are more dangerous because they aren’t regulated by the EPA!! application of these chemicals to your organic crops have to be done wearing a full hazmat suite, whereas when applying conventional chemicals you don’t have to wear that full suite. Explain that? Chemicals have a strict phi (pre harvest interval) that cannot be debated. This means, you have to wait x amount of days before you harvest the crop for human consumption + a few more for extra safety. So no, there’s not pesticides on your fruits and veggies when you buy them. Also- there ARE NOT hormones in conventional milk when you buy it. Rbst is hardly even used anymore (this is the hormone you’re talking about). So you do not need to buy organic milk if you think all the other milk has hormones in it. I could write a book to you ladies about the things that you said in this podcast that were flat out wrong. The sad thing is is that your listeners are going to believe everything you say!!!! I’d urge you guys to visit a real farm. Farmers this day in age are more educated than you think. Heck come to WI and visit my farm if you want! I’d love to answer all your questions!! The last thing I have to say is answering one of your questions in the podcast. One of you was wondering why your friend was buying organic milk/food. Ill give you a great reason!- it’s not sustainable. TRUE organic living by everyone would never work. There wouldn’t be enough land to produce the amount of food that’s needed in our world to feed everyone. Which is interesting- because this podcast is essentially about sustainability. You did a great job on all the other topics- except when it came down to the organic food. With daily increase in population- farmers continue to have less and less land to produce food on (hello pop up metros and cities) and a higher demand to produce more food on that diminishing amount of land, and guess what, they are doing it! With the help of ground breaking science and technology. GMOs- which are also safe for you to consume btw. So if you truly want to b sustainable and care about Mother Earth- don’t tell everyone to eat organic, if that were to happen, we’d run out of food REAL quick. Organic crops yield incredibly less than conventional (giving us less food) because weeds and insects that can’t be controlled take over the crop and don’t allow it to flourish. I’d also urge you ladies to do your own research on organic since you think it’s so healthy. Look up some of those organic chemicals that you’re allowing your kids to come in contact with once. I’m sorry we had to meet this way- but it had to be said. -Danielle Concerned farmer in Wisconsin

Not relatable if you aren’t a rich stay at home mom
At first I liked their honesty, but the more I listened the more frustrated I felt with them constantly mentioning the fact that they are stay at home moms with full-time nannies. It’s just not relatable for someone that works full-time, uses daycare, and hardly get a date night let alone spa days and vacations because childcare is expensive.

Not Even a Mom But This is Golden
I don’t have a baby but I still love this podcast so much. I feel like when I do have kids I’ll be totally prepared now 😂 It’s a perfect combination of funny while informational! It makes my commute to work so much better!!

    Disappointed
I have been listening for a while and I was so in love at first but the ADs recently have been such a drag. It really takes away from the conversations because there’s so many pauses. I get needing to make money but I feel with podcasts there needs to be a limit. It’s like if you’re having dinner with your friend and every 10 minutes they reach for their phone. 🙄
  • mommaoftw0
Therapy & solidarity, love this podcast!!
My sister-in-law recommend your podcast to me as I’m home on maternity leave with my second. The breastfeeding stories are saving my sanity currently! Thank you for this honesty.
