    Perfect for movie fans!
These guys are so great. They talk about movies at a level I wish I could. Fantastic for any film buff and infinitely engaging.

    70’s Sports Movies Month
I’m a huge fan of the podcast and specifically theme months. I particularly enjoyed the 70’s sport movie theme and overall the selections were great, however, I can’t give the month a five star rating because of one glaring omission. How could you not have included arguably the best sports movie of all time: North Dallas Forty. No sports film captures a week in the life of a 1970’s pro football player, or an era for that matter better than that film. This movie definitely deserves to be a Rewatchable.

    Van Lathan…..
Simmons must be in a “I hate my fans” stage of his career. We keep telling him this guy ruins these pods in multiple ways and he keeps bringing him on. Stop doing this to us!

    New podcast for me
Just found this podcast a few days ago. Happy to have a bunch to go through. So far, so good!

    You used to be beautiful
Love the show. Used to listen religiously. Something about the selection/choices for the last few months has made me pause the download. When it becomes homework to rewatch the film because it’s not the more fun rewatch, it’s a no from me dawg. Hope you get back to slightly more mainstream rewatches soon. The sports movies are not my jam personally - let’s see some bigger mainstreams for us folks. Still heart you.

    Seriously???
How about some movies people actually rewatch?

    Almost always great
This is my very favorite podcast over the past several years. Just love it. That said, it has been problematic that the length of the podcasts have increased significantly, with many as long or longer than the movie being covered. I find it ironic that as Simmons and Fennessy have recently commented that many movies are too long — 2 hours plus — and driving audiences away, that they are creating the same problem for their listeners. When I see a 1:45 or 2 hour Rewatchables pop up, I’m hesitant to jump in. Or after an hour and half I’ve had enough and need to, or have to, stop. Still, I love this show.

    WHO IS PICKING THE MOVIES???
Guys, you haven’t had a real rewatchable in months!
  • eecs06
Bill, not in my pyramid of podcasters.
One of my favorite podcasts. I really enjoy hearing about the history of the movie and where the actors were in their career at the time. But the best part of the podcast is how Bill surrounds himself with dynamic and interesting people which highlight how dull and unfunny he really is.

    Beat me to the punch
I was totally going to write something misogynistic and personally insulting but it looks like a slew of internet tough guys beat me to the punch. Keep it up, online dipsh**s! Great podcast, and I agree that the teases for “end of feed” are making me a little nervous. My guess is the recent slate of classics is in response to these same genius reviewers clamoring for you to “play the hits.” Hey everyone, did it ever occur to you that if they only went for classics, you’d probably just complain when they run out of those and start reviewing lesser films? Goes to show you can never win even when pumping out a thoroughly enjoyable program at a prolific clip.

    Love it!
Bill’s greatest superpower may be his ability to find the perfect co-hosts for each episode! Great show and very re-listenable!

    Best Podcast
To Bill - it’s the Best Podcast. Period. Stop teasing the end is near - it’ll kill me..Lol Themed months or Bangers, it’s #1 always. I’m someone who predominantly listens to Sports content podcasts, The Daily, Plain English..but love movies too and nothing cracks me up regularly as much as these podcasts. Van, Chris, Sean, Mallory and of course any of Bill’s blue comments are all top notch comic relief to my day. More Rusillo please. And The Officer and a Gentleman one cracked me up the most in recent memory. I’m 44 - so all the selections are in my wheelhouse, and occasionally the feed inspires me to watch one I’ve never seen. Thanks Jase H

    The magic of Mallory Rubin!
I love your podcast but when Mallory is on there is a sexual thing that brings a tension that makes the guys tense up a bit and it is very funny and makes listening to the conversation enjoyable! Everything about your show is great, all the contributors are very real and they share their personal experiences when they were growing up. I dig it when Van Latham is on because he really shares his childhood experiences!! Top flight show!

    Deserves 5 Stars, but...
...the one dude who finds it funny to obnoxiously yell and cuss is utterly irritating. Otherwise, a great show with great viewpoints. The show is very well organized and thought out except for that one guy who finds it funny to yell at the top of his lungs while cursing up a storm. That's when I sometimes turn it off because he goes on and on with it. Really could do without that.
  • fdoconnorii
Not a fan of Mallory Rubin
The subject line is the extent of my review
  • LouSmith434
    Get rid of Mallory
So annoying. Affected . Just awful
  • Clamshell614
    The women
The women in this podcast are so obnoxious. Do they all just want to sound like butch lesbians in order to stand up next to all these dudes? I turn into such an anti feminist when I listen…can they just shut up and let the men talk? Had to turn off the Fast Times episode bc Mallory destroyed so many segments with her annoying chipmunk laugh and her ability to ruin all scenes having to do with sex. It would have been so much better to hear the two guys discuss this movie instead of adding a “female” - if that’s what she is - in the room.
  • Deadfin
    Please, no more Mallory Rubin
Please, no more Mallory Rubin on this pod. Not only does she sound like a 13-year-old with a sing-song uptalk voice, but she talks a million miles an hour and can’t understand a word she says. The “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” episode is exhibit A.

Have to give it up- disappointed
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years, but I’m throwing in the towel. So much about this podcast is great. When they’re on point, they are on point. However, some episodes are problematic. For example, the amusement over Forrest Gump‘s mother being sexually manipulated in order to get him a good education is extremely distasteful. “I can buy that….” Marisa Tomei’s Oscar was given because Jack Palance wanted her to win. So disrespectful to her career and just a stupid thing to say. Finally - the periodic yelling. It’s very distracting to be listening to a podcast and have to turn the volume up and down. Thanks for the awesome episodes that you provided. Best of wishes to all of you.

This pod becomes like a group of old friends
You start with the movie, which itself is usually something I’ve known for many years because I saw it when I came out. But then after a few episodes, listening to Bill & Co. talk about the flicks just feels like you’re hanging out with your high school or college friends again, people you’ve known a long time. Eventually, I stopped caring if I’ve seen the movie, I just like listening to them talk about movies. As much as I like the whole cast of characters, the episodes without Bill don’t really work. It’s like if there was an episode of Seinfeld without Jerry. This podcast is my comfort food when I need a break from my serious stuff and just need to relax. For that reason, it’s the podcast I can least do without.

Hey what’s on Pluto this week??
Boy do they phone this in so hard lately. If things get stale (they do) let’s bring in Slobbins, Horny Mal, or Van Racist. Be honestly listener, of the past 20-25 movies how many of these do you really like? I predict The Truman Show next as it’s on Pluto right now.

    Define “Rewatchable?”
No one has ever heard of this movie. How can it be rewatchable? Love this podcast, but please cover movies that people have actually rewatched! How did they chose this movie over Animal House or The Blues Brothers?? Disappointed!

    ONE Episode Review
Just listened to the Alien review and it was great! Five stars across the board. My favorite part was the sound clips of the actual movie, genius! I’ve never heard sound clips of the actual movie in a podcast and it was surprising. It’s one of my favorite movies and I could visually piece together the scene in my head just from hearing the audio and I loved that. GREAT natural chemistry between the hosts which is always a must for a great podcast. Very funny and genuine. Subscribed and looking forward to listening to the rest.

Imagine a podcast with your friends…only with more ambition & fame 🤓😎
‘The Rewatchables’ is the podcast that includes wildly tangential convos about films with my best friends from Jersey that I NEVER had. I was introduced to this podcast while listening to Chris Ryan from ‘The Watch’ & I only was aware of Phil Simmons as a sports commentator. I only started listening at the tail end of 2023 (I believe it was ‘The Equalizer’ episode with Bill’s dad that got me hooked) and this show is easily in my Top 5 weekly podcasts listens. Thanks for all the great films and discussions.

Bill Knows How To Pick ‘Em
Bill Simmons is a master of both sports and movies, a fact that all listeners can attest to. However, his greatest talent lies in his ability to assemble an incredible cast of super podcasters, each with their own distinct personalities and talents. If you haven't explored all the podcasts within Bill’s podcast empire, it's time to get in it. Keep up the great work, Bill! Jeff

    It’s a fave
I liiiiive for this podcast and tell everyone about it, so generally, please keep it up! That said, this season has been rough- lots of niche and heavy rewatches; hoping we can go back to classics, bangers, and universally loved flicks:)

Manchester by the Sea name change
First time listening to the show. Bill Simmons is from MA but doesn’t know how MBTS got its new name. To differentiate from Manchester NH. Hosts are all smug and annoying. Talking in their own dork code and falling all over each other. Despite watching this movie 3x’s Bill gets many things wrong. Confuses the fight scenes. Forgets that Lee’s wife passed out during fire and had to be carried out. It was Lee who yelled “don’t drive drunk”. 3 annoying dorks not nearly as cleaver as they think they are.
  • Jehsjwjsjsjehejejekske
    Chris
I just listened to the Manchester by the Sea episode. As always great content from all three. However, there HAS to be a way to get CR to stop interrupting every single time somebody starts to speak. It’s a bummer because CR has great things to say so it’s not that I don’t want to hear from him. I just don’t understand why he has to cut everybody off. Bill and Sean both seem to have figured out the rhythm of when to jump in and when to let a point breathe and CR does not understand that.

    Very Unserious People
Manchester by the Sea is so unbelievably far from a “rewatchable” this show has lost the script. That movie is the definition of a one and done. In addition, the live shows are poor quality and unlistenable. And then throw in all the hate from Van who is an actual living piece of human excrement. Yuck. The white guilt and self hate emanates from Bill and his loser snowflake cronies. PASS!
