    Do they watch the NFL?
I’ve heard more intelligent conversations about the NFL from drunk patrons at my bar.

    The show move the sticks
Way to many advertisements plus the advertisements are too many in a row. Especially in the beginning I lost interest.

    About time
Feel like this was long overdue. Especially after Mayok left DJ should of jump started this podcast. I’m glad he has a spot to finally express his opinion and a great Job getting Bucky Brooks so DJ doesn’t go stale the only problem is DJ tends to dress like a butlers driver

    Company Men
DJ appears to be well liked in the industry and appears to get inside information which is the o my reason I have them 2 stars. Don’t be fooled by their hubris. Neither of these men made for good scouts and despite their infectious personalities, weren’t able to retain positions in the scouting world. Like many of these folks, the rewrite the narrative-they always end up correct. Wasting your time listening to their hot air.

One of the best football podcasts available. Terrific draft conversation.

    The Best Podcast.
This is by far my favorite football podcast. Love the inside information and Scouting perspective to the draft process. Best place to learn about this upcoming draft class. You learn a lot about the pre-draft process, roster management, and team building as well.

    Bucky
Great show been listening for years! Only thing I find odd is how Bucky just agrees with everything DJ says all the time. I can’t remember the last time Bucky disagreed with what DJ said. Maybe this is to portray DJ as more of an expert? Either way, be nice to here more differing opinions at times but overall a great podcast to listen to.

    Draft and team building talk
As good a podcast as there is in talking about all aspects of talent identification and team building in football. DJ is genuinely a great listen on or off the podcast and treats fans and listeners like peers. Bucky brings a ton of experience as a former player, scout, and now a proud sports parent. Highly recommend.

    Informative yet Entertaining
I really appreciate this show especially during draft season. Nuggets of information are shared and it is entertaining with humor, style and character. I would like to see a series of shows where teams needs are highlighted then prospective players are suggested to fill those spots taking draft order in consideration.

    Great Show
A great informative football podcast. Refreshing that DJ and Bucky share real opinions without trying to be controversial for clicks. They’re clearly well respected in the football world and do things the right way.

    Keep it going!
Move the Sticks is as necessary to the start of the NFL and college seasons as playbooks are for teams. Been rocking with you guys since episode 587. So thankful for this podcast. The insight to the game is impeccable. Learning from Bucky and Dj, hearing about their experiences. Player interviews. I could go on! Today Rhett opened up the show and…it..it just didn’t have that pop. Lol All in all this pod is a staple in my life. Update: great second opening Rhett my man!

    5-Star Talent
Just discovered this after 1000 episodes thanks to Russillo. You will not find better talent evaluators from inside NFL teams as well as game planning and X and Os than DJ and Buck. If NFL coaches and GMs listened to podcasts, this would be the one.
  • Errors and Misconceptions
Make this podcast part of your NFL lifestyle
It says something about a podcast when you stay loyal to it and are still interested after regular listening for almost a decade. DJ and Bucky provide an infinite store of thoughts. They are the rare pundits who are honest and trustworthy. You want to hear what they have to say about whatever is going on. I don’t know that there is a better all-around personality, let alone podcaster, than Daniel Jeremiah. He is funny, he is open to all types of people, he is thoughtful, and a he is a great communicator. Beyond anything, these guys love the game, and that emerges.

My Favorite Podcast of Any Genre
UPDATE 8/16/23: This is still my favorite podcast. The only thing I subscribe to. Thank you DJ and Bucky. I miss the Pac 12 Media Days interviews you did for a few years. You always talked to Chris Petersen. And you’ve had him on a few times since those UW days. Keep having him on every now and then. He’s a special coach! In fact, I love all the coaches you talk to. I’m always learning from David Shaw or Chip Kelly or Mike Leach. And the insight you share as you study great teams like the Miami Heat is always fascinating. I’m always learning and growing as I stay in tune with the latest NFL. Love the show. I appreciate the recommendations you share (The Playcallers Podcast from The Athletic was amazing.) Keep up the good work. I remember listening back when you were breaking down Jameis Winston as a potential draft pick. My original review… I listen to many podcasts. This is the only podcast that I subscribe to. It's that good. This is an insider giving you great, all-access information. Daniel Jeremiah is great. Read about this guy's career. Good story. Best podcast of all the sports podcasts in my opinion. The first episode I listened to was Jameis Winston 360. The 360 episodes are great. I highly recommend this show!

    Fun While Being an Asset
I discovered the MTS podcast when I first got into coaching high school football at my former school I attended from 6-9. I had never coached at any level before but convinced the coach to give me a chance running the LB’s and assist with the O-Line as those were my spots. I should add that my dream was to olay college football but I have Crohn’s disease which didn’t allow that to happen. So I’ve always loved the game and read tons of stuff and walked into coaching snaking it till I could make it. I learned so many terms from your show and some new concepts as well that I actually impressed the coaches, was out in charge of the cut ups, and became the DC on JV football the next season. We went undefeated that year, the Ravens won the Super Bowl, and I won fantasy football in my first attempt, along with having my daughter. But along the whole way was DJ and Bucky giving knowledge in a clear, concise manner, through first hand experience, or with a guest helping out. Even though I don’t coach anymore I still listen to the podcast since it’s still such a great pod. If you’ve stuck with me this long suffice it to say you’ve sold and will check out this show and will enjoy it. To DJ and Bucky keep up the great work and let’s see if you can hit 2000 episodes now that 1k is within reach.

    Love the show
I’ve been listening to the show for years and have become a go to for all things draft amongst my friends. Have helped me see and understand some of the different layers of the game.

    Year-round must listen
Incredible content and an essential fix for football fans during the offseason. Great insight during draft prep season and the perfect way to build anticipation for training camp through the late spring and early summer months!

Lots of folks these days hide behind analytics to mask their ignorance of what actually transpires in football organizations. These guys KNOW. Amazing stuff.

    Question
Hello gentlemen, thanks much for the work you all put into making my favorite show. Has the current salary cap decreased the quality of play? It seems the second contract player, smart and experienced, is being squeezed out of the game. Due to this it appears that the offensive and defensive schemes are much less complex than they were in the past. The game appears to rely more on athleticism and youth nowadays. Am I just imagining this? Just for reference I am 51 and a lifetime NFL fan.

    #AskMTS
Really appreciate you guys’ work. A question I had was how much you value athleticism for prospects in the draft prospects, and how it compares for different positions. Like do you value it more in a cornerback vs a safety, or a guard vs a tackle, stuff like that. Thank you.

    Future telling
Love the show. Best nuts and bolts football show available. . . ¿ What is your favorite dream progression of the game we might see in the distant future? . . . i.e. the backwards lateral becoming a staple of the game. . . . Maybe a no true qb rb system but two Malik Willis types standing in shotgun and you don’t know who’s getting the snap. . . . Or the return of true two way players!

    Love the podcast
Love the podcast and the chemistry DJ and Bucky have. I leave a lot every time I listen to it. Only suggestion I would have is to take and answer some questions from the listeners
  • Irish Wildcat
    Insightful
DJ provides well-informed, insightful takes. He and Bucky Brooks play well off each other and each knows their stuff. It’s an enjoyable “insiders” podcast. - Lee M.

    NFL Master Class
One of the best and accurate NFL analysis out there. Great insight with a deep dive into all things Football. The only thing that prevents me from rating the show a 5 is that DJ and Bucky agree too much on players. You can’t possibly have the same take on every player. I would also like to see Bucky work harder to be a better broadcaster. He has great insight but often speaks way too fast. He also drives me nuts with all of the filler words, “It’s funny”and “Those things and stuff”. Be better. Be a professional. With that said I love these guys.
  • jnb58
    Best football show
Bucky and DJ are awesome! They are actual experts in the field of football and each episode they teach a class. Bucky and DJ do a great job of explaining the details of football and scouting sports. They stick with the topic of football and don’t bash you over the head with social commentary. They are the Barry Sanders of podcasts. After they score, they hand the ball to the ref and jog to the sidelines. Very professional. Nothing ridiculous. Beloved by all. God bless them.

Traits the top Statistical Leaders Share...
Maybe the best episode since the Prototype series - any chance of revisiting that? Know it must have been a huge project but it was phenomenal, been a few years so would guess there’s some changes at certain positions and fewer at others. Would love to hear both of your takes on how the positions are evolving!

    Mike renner
Can you bring mike renner on more often, the three of you are my favorite football minds. I love listening to the mix of perspectives. Also pff doesn’t give us enough renner exposure since his podcast ended.

    Lions Draft
Your choice for Lions at six is not too bad but the better choices Joey Porter Jr. He fits with what the lions are looking for. He’s got Grit, he’s got size, he’s got the skill set, he’ll make a bigger impact at 6. Then at 18. You get it wrong, the lions will not take A.R. 15 at 16 instead, they will take Bijon Robinson Bijan, he has a bigger impact on the offense immediately, A.R. 15 is a third round Malik Willis type quarterback, and unless he falls to the second or even third round Detroit’s not picking him, they are definitely not gonna waste a pick in the first on a guy who will take two years just to learn how to play quarterback.
  • JJDino52
    Love all the content
2/1/23 At 28:05 Caleb Murphy 25.5 sacks. Is that a mistake saying he set the all Division record ? I thought Derrick Thomas had 27 sacks his senior year at Alabama! 2/17/23 - On top WRs. The discussion went into Brian Hartline’s run of impressive WRs even naming J.Williams along with Olave, G.Wilson, JSN, and next years Marvin Harrison Jr. All respect to Hartline for his fantastic recruiting but Ohio State have been signing 4 top 125 WRs for the per cycle for the last 4 years per 247 Sports so they’d better hit on some of those guys. Not all of those guys are developing, but when you put numbers into a position along with tons of talent several have to pan out.
  • QT McGrue
    Good content, Difficult vocals
This is great, insightful content. Bucky’s voice would be less grating if he smoothed it out a bit with hot tea or a throat lozenge. It’s an audio medium so the quality of the voice is important.
  • packersbness
    Daniel Jeremiah take your cheese
Love the show. Listen to every episode. Enjoyed hearing ole Daniel bash the packers as a terrible football team and saying they were losing the final 3 games. Think there should be some sort of repercussion for a terrible take if they win this weekend?

    Turned off
Your advertising, which on this episode was pushing the covid vaccine, is false and misleading. It is dangerous to keep pushing this experimental drug.
