    YOUR VOICE - ANY STORY
Meredith Goldstein - your beautiful voice, full of rich timbre and melody, is a gift to the world. May you never stop talking and telling us your stories!

    Are the kids alright?
I appreciated the storytelling around Sharlene and Blake’s story, but I felt it lacked a full integrity without addressing what was going on with Sharlene’s daughter. We learned she was a young child; we learned about Sharlene’s addiction; we learned that Sharlene was spending pretty much all day, every day with Blake at the prison for years. And I just kept wondering: who was taking care of this child, and does she find this story quite as sweet as we’re supposed to?

    Money or love?
I am disappointed by the money. It was better when they focused on love instead of finances.
  • please talk better
    Content is interesting enough
But I am constantly distracted by how the host talks. It’s unnatural and doesn’t fit the content. Very off-putting.

    Conflicted
Meredith I love your Boston Globe column but it seems this podcast attracts self centered people obsessed with being single and comparing themselves to their married friends. And the vocal fry epidemic with many of these woman is so annoying! Maybe expand the theme of the podcast to be similar to your column?

    Heart and Solo indeed
This conversation with Susan (Pebbles) resonated so deeply with me. It really gets tiresome having to put others at ease, to entertain the platitudes you referred to, or to explain my rationale for choosing to be single and being true to what I want. I hope to travel once my kids are older and in college and explore the freedom that comes in knowing myself best. Thank you for shining a light on this part of a middle aged woman’s journey when the path ended up being different than she’d imagined. I’m grateful.

    Eye opening
I love this podcast and have been listening since the beginning. Each season makes me think critically about love and relationships. I really like Meredith’s interview style and the episodes are a good length. Producing is great - show flows pretty flawlessly and the ads don’t take up too much time. Relationships are all so different and I love how this show explores such variety. The new “sidebar” episodes are peaking my interest so far; I like that they’re short and answer letter writer questions and I’ll be interested to see how they progress. Thank you Meredith, Kaitlyn, and love letters team!

    Ew. Producer’s annoying VOICE
Producer Kait or whoever spoke on the Aug 15th ep. Her vocal fry and college girl tone is so aggravating to listen to. Please stop inviting her to the show

It was good and then got really boring
I used to wait every week for the new podcast on Love Letters, but after the first few seasons it got really boring; I’m trying to find the like on this new point of view te producers decided to take but the show lo longer has that sparkled anymore. Very disappointed, every episode of this last season made me sleepy and the last one could not beat listen the whole thing. Time to revamp this podcast!

This review is long overdue. This podcast is amazing. I stumbled on it when I was going through some dark times in my life after my breakup. It taught me to keep going and that things get better. My favorite episode is Coffee in Paris. I still go back and listen to season 1 when I’m going through a tough patch in my love life. M has put me on some great vampire shows! Keep it up! -Twitter girl 125

    Exceptional
This pod is like a balm. Meredith Goldstein is an excellent host, and her questions are chef’s kiss! I appreciate the wide variety of love stories, and the many delightful paths to love-especially in these topsy turvy times. Cheers Meredith!

    Consistently disappointing.
I like the host of this show and really want to like the show itself, but every time I tune into an episode I find myself getting aggravated. Mainly the problem is the show can’t decide if it’s for people who are dating who want to hear how it’s going for other people, or voyeurs in long-term relationships. I’m in the former category and resent the curiosity of the latter. So when the host does things like pause to explain what “Bumble” is, or how it works, to all the shut-ins listening I tune out. Also it seems like, in trying to be middle of the road and “for everybody!” The topics can be just…uninteresting. Take, at this writing, the first episode of a season supposedly about rule breaking. The whole episode is about a journalist friend getting married and (gasp!)taking her husband’s last name. Not what her friends (the host included) expected. That’s rule breaking? That’s like having a podcast about your friend’s new haircut. Not tweet-worthy much less podcast-worthy.

    love, love, love
Love Letters is simply my #1, fav podcast out there. I love Meredith. She's so thoughtful and connects so well with her guests. This show has changed the way I approach all of the relationships in my life. I've listened to every episode at least three times, just because sometimes I learn something new from re-listening. Do yourself a favor and open your heart to Love Letters.

    Great show
I’m always excited when a new episode is released. Fascinating stories and well produced!

    too much Brett
Meredith does fine on her own. Sister Bret has boundless confidence and annoying voices but is not that cool or compelling. Does she need a job? Why is she showing up on every other episode? Please, introduce some other acquaintances. And, LL perspectives tend to be ultra white, 30something and comfy. Sometimes, the story tellers are so boring that I feel compelled to stop the show. Folks sharing their stories really lacking diversity and richness of experience. I’ve listened to all of the episodes, and really want to like it. Just expand your world to include less Bret and more different kinds of people.

    Could be better only if…
I really like the stories. And I cuss like a sailor but hearing the “f” word so often is distracting to be honest. It really takes away from the quality of these interesting stories.

    Great Show!
Well thought out and produced. This is not one of those aimlessly rambling, zero concept podcast. This is a focused, well written, funny podcast that is actually educational and echos real life. Thank you!

    Beautiful, real and honest stories
The story telling on this podcast is beautiful. I love the narrative by Meredith, the real stories they tell— the heartbreak and emotion of honest love stories.

    Too few
I absolutely love this podcast. Love Meredith. Love her sister. Love the advice. Love the stories. Love the guests. Love. I won’t deduct a star for my only complaint, but why do we have to wait 2-3 weeks between episodes?! And when we do finally get one, it’s 26 minutes long? Kinda frustrating. Others are weekly and 60-70 minutes.

    Love the podcast!
Meredith’s voice is so warm and soothing. I love the Carpe Diem episode, it is so well narrated and inspiring.

I seriously rate this podcast 5 stars! I find myself listening to it constantly. About 5 times a day! This causes me to run through the episodes quickly but I am so happy a new season is finally out and I just love this series so much I really recommend it to everyone wanting advice in their relationships or people dealing with bad breakups!

    Coronavirus blues, begone!
Thank GOODNESS the new season has started. I didn’t realize how much I missed this show until I heard it again. It’s made me feel hope (again). It’s helped me forget the pandemic and remind me that there is fun and whimsy and romance and our shared humanity. Thank you, Meredith! :)

One of my favorite relationship/dating podcasts
Great host, fantastic modern day stories and high production value - a perfect recipe for both entertainment and emotions. I stumbled onto this podcast on Spotify and 'binge listened', couldn't wait because it was so amazing!

    I love this podcast!
When I’m feeling over whelmed, anxious or upset, I listen to this podcast and it helps me calm myself. Meredith’s voice is so soothing. She listens and gives advice without forcing her opinion onto others. She isn’t afraid to change her mind when she gets new information. It’s refreshing.

Meredith and her sister feel like family
Love Letters is a warm, chatty friend that you catch up with in your pjs, talk about high school boyfriends all the way to 2nd marriages or widowhood. Listening to Meredith and her no nonsense sister fills the void left by my friends who now have family and children and less time to talk about dating and other single gal tribulations. Meredith gets how painful and difficult it is to meet and maintain a relationships past mid 30s, while sharing heartfelt stories of people who are vulnerable enough to continue to put themselves out there. This is my favorite podcast.

    Meredith, your sister is annoying
Can you not have your sister on your show...? Or ask her to chill out? She hams it up way too much. I look to your show for info... I just don’t need her 2 cents. Really annoying

    Finally an interesting love podcast
To find my favorite podcasts, I listen to a few episodes from different podcasts within a specific genre. Recently, I began looking for a good love and relationship podcast. After searching many, being somewhat disappointed, I’m so grateful a friend recommended Love Letters. This is a fun, modern, attention-grabbing podcast, that steers us away from gender biases and assumptions, into conversations and interviews covering a wide range of subject matter that just about anyone might find to be useful, interesting subjects.

    Binged on Quarantine
I discovered Love Letters about two weeks ago and it has become part of my routine listening to 2-3 episodes daily during this whole quarantine. As a single 20-something I find myself fully invested in most of these stories and jumping to conclusions in mg mind. Lol! Cant wait for another season.

    Great for singles!
I love this podcast because it’s not full of happily ever afters. As a perpetually single person I get tired of hearing about couples and marriages and romance. It’s so nice to listen to breakup stories and problems lol. Makes the single person feel not so lonely.

    Love This!
Something about this podcast gives me all the feels! Even the stories that don’t apply to my life today have applied to me at some point in my life or the life of someone I know. It’s so relatable and comforting.

    I’m a fan!
Great pod! I feel like Meredith and I are girlfriends having great conversations. I am recently divorced after 21 years of marriage...I was devastated! It has been healing to hear the stories of others. I’m a fan!

What about people who don’t want to have sex right away?
I just listened to the episode about “How do you know when to sleep with someone?” and I feel so alienated. The whole point of the episode was that you shouldn’t ever wait! Just have sex right away! Well, my question is what about people who legitimately aren’t comfortable having sex right away and legitimately don’t want to have sex right away? I’m so tired of feeling like no one will ever be okay with me not wanting to have sex right away and that I’m doomed to live a life of loneliness because I’m not like other people, I’m not normal because I don’t experience sexual desire with strangers. I’m so tired of all the quote-unquote “sex positivity” telling people that the right time to have sex is “When you want it!” What about the other person? What if the other person doesn’t want it yet? This is what makes all the guys I go out with feel entitled to sex, and then they ghost me when it becomes clear I won’t give them what they want. I’m so tired of the attitude that you have to figure out sexual compatibility before you ‘waste’ your time getting to know someone, instead of getting to know someone before you can figure out whether you want to have sex with them. I know I shouldn’t expect to feel included as a person who doesn’t feel comfortable having sex right away. I learned a long time ago that that makes me a freak. But hope springs eternal, and so thought maybe this time I wouldn’t be made to feel other.

When I first discovered this podcast I binged the whole first season and was completely in love. Meredith is inspiring and the kind of person you want to be friends with. I wish I’d discovered this podcast sooner.
