Vanessa wow! I remember you from carcast I lived all the shows but sadly they’re all gone, no new one but glad I found you again!!

    Sensory perfection!
The hosts’ voices are perfect for podcasting! I’m very picky about my podcasts, but it’s an easy listen, no matter the time of day. This is the first podcast I tell people about when recommending!

This is the show for you if you don’t like…
Like inane and vapid banter between the hosts and want just a straightforward well research narration.

    Interesting stories, too scripted!
This podcast covers stories and people I’ve never heard about before since they go way back in time, sometimes centuries, which are some of my favorite episodes. The stories are clear and engaging, however, the dialogue is way too scripted and often feels fake and inauthentic, especially when guests are on and you can hear how awkward the conversation transitions are. I’d recommend a more natural storytelling style.

    Last Resort Podcast
I listen to this podcast when there is absolutely nothing else to listen to. The stories are interesting but the way the host speaks is ridiculous. These are stories about real people, at least have the respect to not tell them like you’d tell a scary story around a campfire.

    Amazing and intriguing 🤩
So interestng the stories, the Serial Killers themselves, and the psychology of it 😮(shocking) especially the episode "toybox killer"horrifying 😱but so well done thank you Vanessa and Greg for making this podcast 😊.

    Lacking
Episodes are short by podcast standards. About 30 minutes or so. In those 30 minutes there’s about 10 to 15 minutes of adds. So not a great podcast in my book.

    Parcast.
The show has taken a step back without Greg. Listened for years but now it’s stories we’ve all heard before.

    Good story telling
Just started listening and will probably listen to ALL of the podcasts. Great story telling and great background information on persons and stories. This podcast is my next obsession.

    Awesome
I’m not big on podcasts, but this one is amazing. I always listen in my free time and genuinely enjoy hearing these stories. Please keep making these episodes, I will keep listening! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    It’s all right
If you have a lot of time to kill this is a good pod but if you are wanting facts not it they talk a lot about the psychology when you want the facts it’s not the right one

    Serial Killers: The Billboard
If you are the kind of person who stops at billboards to read all of the words, then you’ve found your people. This podcast is packed full of them. Why listen to podcasts when you can just hear the same ad seventeen times. And guess what? They do it with different ads. You get four ads seventeen times. This ad is awesome. I’ll listen to the podcast part later.
  • runningintime
    Kind of torn
I really like the straightforward documentary format, without all the wannabe stand-up comedy routines. But, wow is this thing packed with ads. I typically listen while driving, which means eaither sitting through the same cluster of ads over and over, or reaching over and skipping repeatedly..

This was such a great podcast
This was SUCH a good podcast when I started listening back in 2020. I was hooked. I loved Greg and Vanessa together but it’s definitely not the same anymore. Now the episodes are much shorter and they’re just re-doing cases they’ve already done.

    Will Trent !!! Ugh !
This is a really good show. I would've given five stars. However, if I have to hear that one more time will Trent will Trent will Trent oh my gosh. This show is nothing but a commercial for the real TV series ASAP. So sad.
  • MandaLouRN
    5 stars
No doubt, this is one of the best true crime podcasts!
  • Jdubski2040
    It’s alright
Some episodes are good but then others it seems like they didn’t do any research at all.
  • NoraB1984
Will Trent has to go 🍅🍅🍅
So the episode starts with saying that this is a commercial free episode sponsored by Will Trent. The very next thing is a full commercial for Will Trent. Then you pepper in nonsense about Will Trent randomly throughout the entire episode during the story. Commercial free where??? This is a terrible terrible way to run ads on the show. Please go back to normal commercials. This episode was painful to listen to and I ended up just going on Wikipedia.

Using a murder to promote a TV show is gross
The recent episide that used a murder to promote a show on ABC is extremely disappointing. This show already demonstrates some issues with ethical true crime coverage, and this was the last straw for me. Drawing comparisons between an actual tragic murder and a fictional detective to promote a TV show? Come on. Do better.
  • Nita Claire
    Great content
The content is in-depth and thorough but the delivery folly of hosts is to confusing and not for me.
  • beepbooptrashpanda
    Will Trent?
Plugs for a crime drama throughout is not ideal and makes the pod sound amateur, which it is not.
  • Zztopzzz
    Downhill
This podcast has really changed and not for the better. With Greg gone and only Vanessa still onboard, it’s become a hollow, by-the-numbers drone fest that manages to make even the more interesting cases seem processed and boring. Even worse was the more recent episode where Vanessa shills some other show relentlessly during the dialogue. What?
  • Dzd29
    Shameless Plugs
This show used to be good. It was always annoying to hear about how Vanessa isn’t qualified to make any psychological determinations, but “they have done a lot of research for the show.” It’s almost unlistenable now with the shameless plugs of Will Trent peppered throughout the show. I won’t be watching Will Trent or listening to this podcast anymore if this is what it’s going to be.
  • Cathywren
    Embarrassing
The episode I’m listening to is one that the host constantly interweaves commercials for some show, with a detective named Will, into the story. “Jane keeps diary that includes how her dog is feeling…..i wonder if my new favourite detective Will does that?” Every 5-10 minutes or so. Good grief. I’m embarrassed for the show. Also, Vanessa Richardson sounds like she’s talking to grade schoolers.

    I miss Greg
This has podcast has been a favorite of mine for years. But, it’s definitely not as good without Greg :/
  • podtownreview
    Solid true crime pod
It took me a while to get used to, but I’ve really come to enjoy the narrators. I listen to a lot of similar podcasts, yet haven’t heard about many of the cases covered here. Good level of detail, a huge library to choose from, and they’re always respectful of victims and cultures. Nicely done!
  • BinkerPotatoSteveMoo
    Awful
A terribly dull and lackluster podcast. It drives me insane how they psychoanalyze. It isn’t needed nor accurate just “because you did a lot of research”.
  • NateTheGreat1776
    Best podcast ever
Favorite thing to listen to at work and at the gym.

    Very Informative
I learned so much more than I already knew. They really dig deep!!! Very well done and professional.

    Greg Is So Underrated
Greg's voice is so calming I wished he did more podcasts! He deserves more recognition! Also, Parcast is not as active as it used to be :(

    Spotify sucks…
This is good show. This was a greater show about a year and half ago before Spotify came along and ruined it. Vanessa is great, but no Greg and once a week episodes has made the content forgettable. Their first marketing blunder was trying to exclusively stream these podcasts on Spotify to increase the traffic on their platform and in turn the show lost a lot of their audience. But I’m pretty the corporation didn’t take responsibility for that. Not to mention all the other shows Parcast had that they butchered. The content is still very good but it just goes to show that every deal isn’t great. This would be so much better if they could return to their original formatting.

Literally the best serial killer podcast
Title says it all. This is LITERALLY the best Serial Killer podcast that I’ve ever listened to. Greg and Vanessa both do such a great job at telling these stories that I just cannot listen to any others. I legitimately miss Greg and Vanessa if I do. I spend way too much time listening to this podcast and I recommend everyone I know to listen to this one. I’ve probably started listening for 2 years now.

Alike many others, very glad all the episodes were brought back to Apple 🥰 a lot to catch up on.
  • Issaacst
    Yay!
So glad you guys are back on Apple Podcasts. I’ve missed so many since the move to Spotify, because I don’t use that platform nearly as often as I use Apple. This one of the best crime podcasts around.

    Greg
Gonna miss your partner in crime Greg! Looking forward to more superb podcasts✌️
  • Lex.Native
    The best podcast!
I have been listening to this podcast for a little over 2 months everyday when I have down time, it is very informative. Anyone who enjoys true crime will love this podcast.
  • Casey973
    Disappointed in one episode
In the Barbie and Ken Murderers the episode was way too lenient on Karla. It reminded me of the movie “Karla” which is shown from Karla’s point of view. This episode was definitely just Karla’s version of the story
  • MellloB1978
    Thank you
I just picked up this podcast. Job well done. I will keep enjoying your show. I really enjoy that the cast doesn’t make silly jokes and laugh like some podcasts I have heard with similar very sad content. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
