nick van praagBest of political analysisLucy does a great job of pulling together the weekly wisdom of the FT’s UK politics team. She brings great energy to the anchor’s role.

capecodtadInterestingGreat information about British politics. Helps an American understand what is going on in Britain.
-
vgradyLove rebranded show! The whole vibe on this podcast has improved with a new host that isn’t a young conservative cheerleader.
-
RsemeemooGood luckI’m going to miss listening to you every Saturday. Best of luck and certainly you will have a tremendous impact wherever you are
-
ememememmemeKeep up the Great Work!I am a Brit living in the US and this podcast is the most thoughtful review of weekly UK politics and current affairs that I have found. Essential listening, thank you.

100WestEpisode: Sir Malcom RifkindAmong all the sensationalistic analysis done by most of the media outlets, today’s podcast did a great favor to all of us, brought a non passionate interview, explanation and analysis of what I feel it is the truth about the failures if exiting Afghanistan and the misunderstanding notions of the whys we got to this situation. History will do the rest of the judgement. For now, let’s leave Afghanistan. It is what it is.

StauffhbMore diversity please!Love the insight provided, would love more diverse guests (not just better gender balance, but more commentors from different cultural backgrounds). The host and weekly commentators are almost always middle class white people, and normally at least 75% male. Surely the FT has a deeper and more diverse bench of talent to pull from?

Old Jint FanGreat showI listen to the show religiously every week because it gives me an insightful update into the goings-on in UK politics. For me it’s a must listen, and I recommended unreservedly to all my friends. We need more shows like this!

JkjkjkjjkjkjkjkMy weekly UK politics hitThe show provides an unbiased view of the going’s-on in UK politics. Really useful for those like me who live outside the UK but want to stay connected.

BrolybiusExcellent rebrand, but some tweaks neededFirst off, FT’s U.K. Politics has been fantastic, and the shift to Payne’s Politics seems to incorporate more relevant sound bites, a wider array of panelists/contributors, and - crucially - moves beyond just Whitehall to the wider U.K. landscape (including, hopefully, more N.I. and Scotland coverage). I do think the show would be even more bolstered to shake the usual panel contributors up even a bit more, and the previous intro/exit theme was amazing - please being it back (the jazz reminds me of Coffee House Shots)!

HskinniIt’s like having a pint with your smart friendsAn informed perspective on the main stories in UK politics, brought to you with opinion, healthy disagreement and splashes of humor. I’m fully in the room with them from start to end. The only thing that’s missing is the beer!

legaleagle22SolidThis is a great podcast for my purposes—a concise, good summary of recent political news. It doesn’t go too heavy into punditry but provides a perspective, which I appreciate.

bkschmi** Unmissable **Sebastian Payne et al are brilliant and I look forward to their discussions every week. While maintaining a bite-sized format - 35 minutes is usually the maximum - these FT staffers consistently provide insight and commentary that’s better than you can find anywhere else. For instance, the breakdown of the Supreme Court legal review process on the proroguing of Parliament - from the two suits against it, its justiciability, and what might happen next - was both informative and easily understandable for someone without a legal background. The clarity of that preview made the landmark ruling that came out the next week that much more surprising and impressive given how far it went beyond the expectations of the FT’s well-informed legal commentators. Well contextualized reporting reminds us that we are experiencing important history every single day. I thank the FT for helping make the events of each week unmissable. If you follow and/or are interested in British politics, do yourself a favor and tune in.

LafayetteLarryLet the panelists speak (!)Why won't the chair/host, Sebastian, allow the expert panelists to contribute more ? He often comes across as a bit of an excitable, Tigger-ish ego tripper.

Frog Ghost BusterSebastianSebastian is very cleverly driving this conversation.

PrancyDan"Chicken-Tingle Tacos"OMYHWH this podcast is perverse. Why? Lemme tell you. Every episode they say it's brought to you by some blue ape that gives you something called "chicken-tingle tacos" which is just wrong. I have to turn it off because my kids are always in the car when I put it on so I really can't speak to the content of this show but I assume it only goes down from there. Disgraceful.
